MotoGP nowadays is competitive, close and tight, yeah that's true, but it misses the only aspect that makes races entertaining: the overtakings. Is there any better way to teach these newbies, everyone? I'm kinda tired to explain these simple things to them. 🗿

Assen 2018, Australia 2015, 2017, and 2022 had more overtakes than this race, especially Assen with more than 150 overtakes, MotoGP has indeed better racing these days, back in the day it was usually someone running away at the front, I could name many great modern races with fight down to the last corner, Dovi and Marquez have had more last corner battles than all of the riders put together back in the day, nostalgia makes you think that MotoGP was better back then when it actually wasn't.

Once upon a time when racing was about a fair fight on bucking 2strokes without nonsense safety electronics defeating the purpose of MANually controlling a machine to find out who has the most finesse to entertain a crowd. Glad to have whitnessed the era when burnouts and wheelies where a must during celebrating a victory. VR46, grazie for the memories!
I'm so tired of reading comments like yours saying that "back in the day it was real racing" for sure the bikes have more electronics these days but that doesn't mean it's easy to ride them, no matter what people say, it'll never be easy to race bikes on the limit, those 2 stroke were so freaking slow compared to modern GP bikes, good luck riding a 300 hp rocket in between your legs and finding it easy, the limit is a lot higher these days, current MotoGP riders do stuff that 500cc riders could only dream of.
Nah. It should be man controlling the motorcycle not servo motors. It's going to get so complicated that they will return to MANually controlled motorcycles. But the electronics are amazing.
Imagine; Quartararo and Bagnaia fail to score. Miller wins, with Espargaro 2nd and Bastianini 3rd. 5 way fight for the title! The end of this season is gonna be amazing
Fantastic race. Had everything. Rossi rode like a Lion to pull that back. Why did we ever get rid of 500gp? GP bike racing is nowhere near as good now.
viva la 2 strokes ! Biaggi left that door WIDE OPEN on the last lap...............and .....they should move that finish line about 100 yards further down the straight , it would make for more dramatic finishes . wb

MotoGP has way more overtakes per race all the way through the field now than the 500cc days.

i have kawasaki 2 strokr bike 150cc. Power is still good nowadays.
