A strange psychokinetic energy following a 12-year-old boy wreaked havoc on the Herrmann family household. The Seaford Poltergeist "Popper" caused bottle caps to pop and furniture to crash. Soon, Duke University parapsychologists intervened. Even after a thorough investigation, these strange events were never truly explained, and many argue over whether it was real paranormal energy or outright fraud. The story went on to inspire the movie Poltergeist (1982), which carried a curse of its own.

@@ashleymilden5946 I was waiting for literally anyone to agree with me💃🏼❤️It’s amazing!
The chief of police really said "move those murder cases aside; we have bottles popping"
Love Austin's expression in the video cover 😆
Goofy ahh
Lol he seen Annabelle 👍

My grandma had a bottle of holy water at home. And she'd have a tiny porcelain basin for it on the wall (I was too small to reach it), and every morning before I went to kindergarten or school, she'd dip her fingertips in there and then draw the sign of the cross on my forehead. That was in the 1980s. Grandma
Exactly, holy water was used for the sign of the cross before the start of your day. Holy water was normal for us, to each their own.
My mom and some family always have a couple of bottles for basically the same reason
My grandmas both had holy water on a shelf in the front hallway. This was in the early 60's. It was very common in most catholic homes.
I’m Greek Orthodox born in 67 and my mother had a bottle of holy water in every room, just waiting… still not sure what she was waiting for.
"You guys are getting way too lit at home without me" 😂😂😂
The only bottle popping is the wine, lay off it will ya😄

I know I chuckled at that one
LOL laughed so hard at this
The entity is probably just mad they named both their kids after themselves lol
😂😂😂😂😂
The Amazon holy water conversation took me out…Not for drinking. Sacrilege 😂💀
austin and josh’s vibes really be matching 🤣 another great episode!
I can’t lie I’m super into true crime but paranormal stuff usually scares the crap out of me! But listening to you two banter and joke and talk about it really made this topic super digestible for me!! You guys rock!
Same. Love them because they're fuckin hilarious 😂
Josh’s “Amen! That’s powerful… wow” 🤣🤣🤣
The blanket is INSANE!!!!!
I know I want a T shirt like that!
@@kimmiegirl810same!! I want it on the back of a black tee
I grew up catholic and we had little vials of holy water growing up.
I've heard of families anointing a sick person's head with holy water while praying for better health.
I grew up secular and we had bottles of bug juice instead
please continue to cover the paranormal! you're the only podcast i know of that covers the subject in such a unique way
I hope this doesn’t come off as rude, but mrballen covers stories also. A wide variety of stories and characters
freaky tales podcast

We definitely need more paranormal episodes
My partner is Catholic- he's Italian and Greek. Grew up in Brooklyn NY . Right across from our bed is Holy Water that's been blessed straight from his church. Including the prayer cards, the candles and the rosary
Partner. Our bed.
He better fix that ASAP
Austin that interpretation of a Southern Catholic/Baptist father/pastor had me PMSL! 😂😂😂❤ that was great!
“The first poltergeist attraction….. slash workout studio”😂😂😂😂😂
My grandma who was Catholic kept multiple bottles of holy water around. Maybe it’s something they did more in the past
My parents and grandparents do that I don’t
It was more common years ago.. also the recent generations have lost a lot of faith in their religions.. used to be going to mass 4-6 days a week was the norm 😮😢
@@pla5730 yea fk that my parents tried that with me , protecting my own son from that

I laughed way too hard at Josh getting scared by Annabelle who’s been sitting there the whole time! 🤣🤣🤣
When I was little, I looked just like Heather O’Rourke, the girl in Poltergeist. When I would go to the grocery store or the mall, people would whisper and ask me for my autograph😂
The original Poltergeist is one of my favourite horror movies. What freaked me out the most was that they used actual human skeletons. I didn’t realize how much happened on set during the making of the movies.
I have to say as well I don’t like dolls that move around. Crazy that Annabelle glitched in. Made me laugh when Josh jumped up in his seat when he finally noticed Annabelle.
I used to be so obsessed with the movies especially the first one when I was like 4-10 sparked my love for the paranormal and criminology.
So happy to be back to paranormal episodes!! Great one team!! Your the best podcast out there❤love from Dallas Texas
Blanket is a smart addition.
Seriously already sold out of the blanket?!? I want it sooo bad!
I WANT MY BLANKY!
My family had small bottles of holy water. We would fill them from the blessed water container at the church that was in the entry lobby area. We use it to sprinkle in rooms or anoint our kids or ourselves while saying the our father prayer or other prayers. We use it only when things are going rough in our lives or if we need to pray for evil vibrations.
As a practicing Catholic, Paying for holy water is crazy! Just get a water bottle, take it to a Catholic priest and they’ll do it for free. lol

I was just thinking about this, I thought you’re not supposed to buy objects that are already blessed? rather you’re not supposed to sell them blessed items
@@karenmichelle2593 That’s what I’ve always been told and grew up practicing at my parish & local ones!
I don't think the Amazon holy water is even blessed. Its probably just tap water in a fancy bottle lol
Im loving the Broducer, Brohost, and BroLove 🎉❤
My younger brother was terrified for months and wouldn't sleep in his own bed due to the tree in Poltergeist..... because trees are real and tangible. It was an interesting few months with us all trying to help him work through that fear.
austins priest impression was the highlight of the show..LMAO
Woo was looking for your episode to drop since I just got off work! Excited to watch 🎉
Yes. Please keep lights out as a paranormal channel. You have enough true crime w Mike higher and Kendal Rae.
Man, people had so many porcelin figurines back then. Ghosts must be so frustrated that nowadays everybody just has funko pops, which don't dramatically shatter when thrown across a room.
I was tripped out when they said Heather went to the local community hospital in El Cajon. I am born and raised in San Diego and grew up in what we call east county, which includes the city of El Cajon. The hospital they are referring to was known for being the death Hospital. The hospital was poorly run and many people died as a result of poor care. It sat vacant for many years before it was bulldozed. The lot is still empty and vacant to this day. It is a very large lot on the corner of East Main Street and Greenfield and I would think worth millions of dollars but for whatever reason no one will build on it. Real estate in San Diego is a hot commodity and hard to come by let alone such a large lot at a busy intersection right by a freeway entrance. They have since built a Kaiser Hospital on the same block but opposite end, that area was not previously develope and it made no sense to me why they built there when the other corner had all that already prepped and open space. They probably didn't want to put the Kaiser in the same space as the previous hospital that had such a bad reputation and bad vibes.
Once I saw that blanket, I had to immediately go order it!
Yaassssss!!! I get so fucking excited when I see this notification! I loved the podcast before but u and Austin and Danny have such good chemistry, u guys are always cracking me up 🖤🖤🖤🖤 and Broducer lol too funny!
Wish the Broducer was still there with all 3 of them, it would be perfect to have them all together lol!
Omg the blanket design is awesome! I would love to see that on the back of a zip up hoodie!
Ghost party poppin bottles 😂🍾 ngl, as long as nobody was getting smacked by them, I'd kinda be down to attend said party.
Every time I see the woman I'm reminded of my Mother.....its those cat-eye glasses! She also had dark hair and is just how I remember my Mum in the late 1960's, early 70's.
We didn't have a poltergeist though 😊
Been a while since a paranormal podcast and this one hit all the spots! Thanks.
The holy water conservation has me CACKLING and im supposed to be sleeping for my stupid nightshift. Fuck me lol
THANKYOU so much for hearing us out, we needed a paranormal eoisode
The original Poltergeist is one of my all-time favourite movies.
Love how much you were both getting into the Poltergiest/workout attraction idea 🤣
Great episode yall! Love you guys! Seriously creepy stuff with the films
I am excited that you covered this!! I love your channel❤
Thank you! I always look forward to your content! 😁
One of the first!!! 🎉🎉🎉
I love you guys, and ALL you cover, paranormal and/or otherwise!!!

You guys literally keep me laughing in every episode 😂 love your humor
Great episode.. would love a episode on haunted and cursed movies. You guys rock xx
Y'all keeping it spicy with the variety shows! I like it!! As long as it's geared towards the dark (aka lights out), I'm a loyal sub
Id have several questions like have they asked any neighbors if its just their home or more space, id also be checking for tremors from earthquakes & more.
I just have to say I love your podcast. You guys crack me up all the time. One of my favs!
Love the wallpaper dark 70 pattern the chairs just a beautyful old school christofer lee vibes
You guys are the best. Love all the content!
Yay so excited to hear the variety is coming back! No hate at all cause I love true crime and your channel period, but it's honestly such a nice break from true crime at times when you cover other things too :) even stuff that arguably could be called crime, likesome of the Rollercoaster horror stories (and the stuff some companies were ok with 😮) but love your channel thank you for all your content.
(Now back to the rest of the episode for me)
Missed yesterday but watched tonight. Thank y’all for bringing us some spooky content 👻♥️✌️
I have at least one belly laugh during your vids. Thank you.
Bessst merch drop ever Imo ❤️ omg , that blanket the way I clicked so fast …
Glad to see you’re back to spooky stuff
Great episode!! I would so love a cursed film series!
Another great episode guys ❤
I’m sooo glad Richard Lawson escaped that brush with death, he’s done so much good after that in his career. It’s giving a final destination scene 🫣 I can’t wait for the cursed movies episode y’all have planned 🤞
So excited for this one !! I’ve always been freaked out by this movie as a kid
Especially the clown scene.. FML
Austin - I’d love to hear about your waking up during anesthesia story … I heard Janelle bring it up on the sesh and that seems so freaky
can’t wait to watch this episode 💗
Yeah I love the paranormal stuff and the cryptids and all that too!
And i'm excited for the cursed movie sets 😄
The curses that are ‘a bunch of people connected to this died’ are always unconvincing to me. People die all the time. So many people are involved in making a movie. Doubtless you could look at any movie and find a bunch of deaths.
well...... no actually... of course if you take like in 50 years then yeah... accidents turning filiming yes... but not that many deaths especially if you take stuntdouble out as well.
There's nothing my remains need to do, I'll star in a movie after I'm gone. 😊
Love this!!! Definitely missed the 👻 content
I’m sad to see you leave Mile Higher but happy I still get to see you here!
What? Josh and Kendall run it. He’s still on it
This was really interesting. Thanks!
Can’t wait to watch this later. Whilst playing my game before bed. Love all your videos. You vibe so well together but do miss the Broducer of the past. You need to get him on all of you together one day. Hope everyone is well.
This episode was great! More like it, yes. Please !
I saw The Poltergeist.. the original when I was like 13, at night home alone. And let me tell you, before that horror movies never scared me. But I was terrified.. but me being me I became obsessed. So I started searching about the movie and that's how learned the production was rumored to be cursed.
I heard both the original “The Omen” and “The Exorcist” films are cursed and a whole slew of bad things happened during and after filming those movies. I’d love you guys to talk about those also, that would be friggin’ awesome! Love your channel, great content as always! You guys always make me laugh lmao!!! 😂 And I’m so stoked for the merch! I gotta snag that blanket for myself 😊
I do love the variety of the topics y'all cover. Just keep it creepy! 😍
Missed you guys! I felt I needed a break and I came back to THIS!!! Hell Yes!!! Gonna buy the blankie !!!
Thankyou guys fan since day one haven’t missed one episode
That’s awesome!!
Poltergeist was my favorite movie when I was three to five years old. I used to play “stay away from the light”. 🤣🤣🤣
I have many holy water bottles everywhere, not cause of paranoia but cause it feels good to have blessed things around
Love your work guy’s from Australia 🇦🇺
I'm sorry, but the MOMENT you talked about that sherpa blankie, it was purchased! Now that I've finished the video, I can't wait to be one of very few with this piece of DELICIOUS artwork ❤️
"A rogue priest" 😂
Ya'll had me cracking up this whole episode. Love the serious stuff but hearing you crack stupid jokes throughout was a great vibe😂
I have not listened to your paranormal touch. I enjoyed it. Thank you
Teenagers n being close to puberty is a HUGE trigger for poltergeist activity. They must be sensitive n dont know it clearly. This will amp it up when u arent aware you're bottling all that energy (no pun intended lol).
First like 😀
Was so ready for my favorite time of the week 😊
Love you guys !
I grew up in the 80s The cast n crew of the original Poltergeist movie all said the set of that movie was cursed. RIP to Heather O' Rourke
19:00 had me in STITCHES lol!!!
I've been waiting all morning amd I'm 45 minutes late cuz I didn't my CZcams notification and it didn't show up for me until just now!!! So excited tho!! Love the paranormal
Ok, that blanket. Right up my alley. It's awesome.
This video was awesome you guys liked the dramatics of the priest It was cool. Thank you 3 for all you bring forth in entertainment! Yay 😊!
I love hearing and seeing Danny put his two cents in 😃😃
More paranormal please. I was born in 1982 and did not know about the extensive curse on poltergeist. I of course love the movie. That would be awesome to see more on movie curses.
Just started- but wanted to go ahead & say I crazy love the content you guys do- the different types of shows are a blast!!!! Keeps us all coming back!!!!--- back to show (poof)
Poltergeist was the first horror movie I watched as a child. I've actually seen all three, and they're great movies! Thanks for sharing this story! I'm excited to listen. 😌
wooo just finished all my classes this was finals week. ready to blaze n watch this juicy ep
So excited for this content
I wasn’t sure if I would watch this video based on the title (too spooky), but Austin’s expression convinced me 😂
