This is the Bonanza I told you about months ago that Stevie Triesenberg (a youtuber) flies. The yoke pivots in the middle and can be passed to the other seat. I love Stevie because of her supreme use of checklists. Love the Bonanza's.

Absolutely love this aircraft. I had the Carenado V35 on FSX for many years so when I saw this release on MSFS I bought it instantly without even watching a review. I think they did a hell of a job even though it is missing the tablet and some of the static elements as you mentioned.
I agree, honestly, not perfect, but each Carenado ship is an auto buy for me.
Nice review as always . Even had an authentic "Buddy Holly" moment in there ! Delivered with the usual humour, which is why I prefer your stuff every time. xx

I have the Carenado M20. I'm gonna get this Bonanza. One thing you may have missed. If you clicked on the checklist in the middle console it would've popped up. The checklist in the M20 is in the passenger side door.
I fly in and out of KORS often too on my way in and out of Alaska.
And if the Bonanza is the Cadillac of sky. The Mooney is the Lamborghini of the sky as for GA aircraft.

A flight school I worked at 35 years ago had one of these, and I did some instructing in it, as well as renting and flying it for my own enjoyment. Although I have never spun one IRL, the behavior of this Carenado is about what I would expect. I too, had a tough time finding success employing my traditional spin recovery technique. It is much slower to respond than a traditional straight tail configuration, but did eventually recover. The real aircraft was a joy to fly in smooth air, but the V-tail had an obnoxious tendency to "dutch roll" in turbulence causing much airsickness for passengers, especially those seated farther back in the cabin. This is why there is a yaw damper mod available for these aircraft. Overall, I agree with your assessment of this offering from Carenado, and feel the aircraft is well worth it. Looks like an amazing value just as the last Beech was, and I especially love the wood on the dash and how the plane will bite you if you treat it stupidly. Definitely on my list to buy, although money is tighter this time of the year so I'll wait for the PC-12 first because it's been kind of a holy grail for me. And you are definitely correct about Texans and barbecue! :)
All of the standard carenado releases on Xbox come with the tablet and the exterior features as well, so there must be something specific to the famous fliers planes that don’t have said items included .

And yeah as others have commented, I've got the tablet and all the other goodies with the Skymaster from Carenado on the Xbox Series X.
After your review, I had to have it. I have it for FSX and P3Dv4.5. Great model. The only problem I have with it is the fuel tanks and the need to refuel often. But it gives us more experience during this procedure.

Aaaaw these cozy and beautyful seats and this romantic old-style cockpit, and only a yoke on one side which gives a feeling similar to a car. Wooden and leather finish. WONDERFUL! I love it. Looks as cozy as a flying recliner seat.
But Carenado has no intentions in ever simulating at least a few circuit breakers, and engine failures based on overheating or oil problems, that´s kinda sad. Because everything else looks so lovely and photorealistic. I guess it´s time to learn some VOR navigation when seeing this old-style beauty, can´t be that difficult after having mastered the Fenix Airbus.
Hat switch was the first set of commands I added to my sim. So used to it from FSX.

When you mentioned not having tablet support I'm pretty sure the reason isn't because Xbox doesn't support WASM, but it's because Microsoft/Asobo don't allow them to have it. As Carenado's other planes have released on Xbox with the same tablet functionality as PC, even having an option to turn on the gtn750 even though that's a PC only thing
That's true. They don't want us to have it. And my other 5 Carenado planes have a tablet... But I'm pretty sure they did that to keep the price point at $15 because they would charge more if it had the tablet and covers and all the fun stuff that Carenado usually has...
Hey! The baggage door opens. You just have to click the handle from moving into the baggage compartment with the cockpit cam. I suppose you can probably do it from the Showcase cam too.
Any plane that spins decently is a plus, in my book
One thing you can't say about Carenado is that they don't make good looking planes. They always look really good. Systems sometimes though may not be the best but then again, they are almost always fun to fly (sometimes I just have to jump in the Mooney for some silliness - hehehe).
Buddy Holly was killed in one of these things.

Curtains will be cheaper than bricks. £10 B&M. Great review, but due to the small sale, I ended up get the Junker ju52 and the Beechcraft model 18. But this is now in my wishlist along with half the stuff in the marketplace.
The only 2 things I don't like about this plane is that;
1) They don't want to put the cargo door tied to one of the inoperable buttons.
2) It doesn't have a parking cover for the plane.
Yes but for $15 you can't expect a whole lot more and Carenado charges more money when they start putting in tablets and covers and steps and stuff like that...
@@Foxtrot_EW I would love to pay 35 and get all the circuit breakers and some more details fully functional. And of course that magnetic compass behaving erratic when propeller deice is on - as promised on that badge :D
I'm curious to do some spin testing, but it's worth noting that you forgot the E in PARE. You were pulling back on the yoke which is definitely going to keep the aircraft in that state. That said I don't think you would have been able to recover in time regardless given the altitude.
I’ve gotten out of them before at similar altitudes, usual mechanics didn’t seem to work
I purchased it this afternoon,I'd been ridge soaring in Switzerland and noticed there was a sale on so I grabbed it.Took off from my previous airport LOIK (I think) and found it to be quite docile,why there's only one door is a bit strange.Landed ok,not too bad for a first try.................................................
It's modeled after the real aircraft and there is only one door...

For £12 you can't really go wrong. Sure there's a few things could be done better with it, handling, flight simulation and engine sounds. BUT it's a little beauty. Totally agree with replacing their dupe pilots with default.

I know the Black Square Bonanza has greater systems depth to this, but which one do you prefer overall?
Might wait for A2A to bring their fabulous Vtail to MSFS......

They've actually modeled the flat spin or is that using the flightsim flight model? If that's the case, no wonder they called it a Doctor Killer! Never saw a plane enter a flat spin so easily!
I have two doctorates, a fact I normally keep quiet about, except I think it bears mentioning here that my wife is very, very excited about this plane and keeps asking me when I'm going to fly it...

I'm getting a strange graphic glitch (as if the seat moves up/down slightly) when inside the cockpit when I move the elevator controls forward or back (but only when moving). Using an Elite 2 controller. I've made sure no inputs are duplicated and also tried uninstalling the AC and reinstalling. Anyone else getting this?

And thank you for making a strong point about Carenado using the Asobo pilot avatars. I really do wish they'd do this for the planes they sell directly. Asobo made a wonderful decision to represent various ethnicities, skin colours and genders, and Carenado have basically said "stuff that, you're going to be a white guy".
I have mentioned more than once on their FB posts that I refuse to buy any of their planes until I can be represented as a woman in the sim. I doubt they'll take any notice of me and wont care about missing out on my purchase, but hopefully they'll listen to you.

The lack of a tablet isn't a WASM issue. Plenty of xbox planes have tablets. Including Carenado planes
Lookin for my first xbox/pc ownership...ovation/arrow or vtail...oh so hard to decide!
I went online to buy this yesterday but the sale forced me to buy the Beech 18 and the Husky 😂

actually one does not use rudder in a V tail so maybe in the sim you have to have the rudder function if possible connected with the yoke.
Maybe others don't, but the Vtailed Bonanzas absolutely have rudder pedals that work the ruddervators when used.
@@nicholaswilson9724 oh yes I did some research and yes the rudders are used sometimes but not like a regular rudders
@@mikecoffee100 I'm not sure what you mean... Right rudder yaws right, left rudder yaws left, the same as regular rudders. If you mean because the rudder and ailerons were connected, it wasn't perfect, and you still had to use rudder on turns. I was never good at it, but I think that's because my dad had me doing turns before my feet could reach the rudders ;) He owned a 1951 C35 model, a few years older than the Bonanzas available in MSFS.
@@nicholaswilson9724 thanks for the information since I only flew one once and of course I was in the right seat with a qualified CFI in the right and handed my the controls for abit .

How does it compare to the H35 released last year?
Visually more accurate, less depth than the H35, couple less features, but overall a tidier and prettier experience... Flight models seem similar, sounds similar.
I suspect the drift to the left was the result of somewhat accurate modeling of "P factor". I owned a Bonanza for 6 years (czcams.com/users/spionen007videos) and that was always something you needed to pay attention to being a high performance aircraft. I may just have to get this one!

You did not push controls forward. There was no way to recover from spin that way. Double checked the vid. You were pulling the controls, keeping the plane in stall and spin.
I must admit i like this addon and the price is very good . I have to say that spin was mad and now im going to have to put on my Doctors white coat and stethoscope and go and kill myself in a spin . At least if i do i can pronounce myself dead !!! or fix myself lol . Cool video as always 🙂

Yeah we've got tablets and ground candy with all the other Carenado aircraft for Xbox. Didn't have to have WASM for that. I think they were just trying to keep the price down low and didn't put that stuff in To make it more affordable.

I've quit buying aircraft that use default Garmin avionics. This is a pass for me unless they give GTN 750 integration.
stick the Working Title 530 mod in and you're gg. The Famous Fliers wont ever get GTN intergration.
Br sim is prettier in my opinion, and flies great, i love how the vr sim one has the faded yellow glass on the gauges, as if it spent 50+ years in the sun
