I own every Carenado plane made, and I always will. My favorite company. Fantastic plane! Love the analog gages and retractable landing gear!
Couldn't agree more!
I'm still mad we don't have anything new from them yet since this released in June. 😂 I need MORE Carenado!
I loved the 182RG in FSX and I'm glad it's back in MSFS! I really hope they will also release their C185F Skywagon for MSFS. I would buy that in a heartbeat. The more old school steam gauge aircraft fit for bush flying, the better.
Thank you for another informative presentation....I purchased this Cessna today on your recommendation.... It is really good and very enjoyable to fly...I appreciate the effort you put into your humorous honest appraisals ....Roger..Pembrokeshire
Always a pleasure to listen to and watch your reviews AvAngel !
As always you do great helpful videos! Love your channel!
Thanks for Making (all) your Flying tests!
I've been patiently waiting for this plane 🎉😊
Very professional but relaxed style of presentation, love it. Thank you from New Zealand
Again this one is a good addon , really nice . Thanks for the great review as always .
This is tempting. Thanks for the review!!
Another stable easy pizzy review from our favourite pilot. Thanks for sharing Rach, cheers!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Picked this up yesterday. An absolute blast.
You sold me!!!! I want to start saying I am not a Carenado fan as a rule. I am a 182 fan and the RG brings back fond memories of the old days of FS98. Thanks for sharing.
Really enjoy your channel.
You're always interesting and entertaining and your experience is appreciated. And perhaps the main thing is that you come up with interesting pieces of information through your experience.
Look forward to the next one.
PS I've probably spent 80% of my time on MSFS in the Cessna 152 and the analog instruments is what I enjoy most. As with watches I guess.
Thank you
Thanks for that!
great review again AV thanks
You are so good at landing my Dear.
I like the look of this Cessna . The older Planes have the character.
Good flying and review young Lady.
thanks for the vid - I love your channel
I love the retro aircraft! I flew in one with almost the exact same cockpit color and layout (except the owner/pilot had an ipad hooked up instead of the garmin). I love that they modeled the air vent, that is like the first thing i mess with when flying in one for real. LOL!!
Thanks for the look AvAngel. I will be picking this one up to add to the hangar!
Nice video. Will probably get the 182rg just for the heck of it. Nice having a plane one can just get in and go.
I just discovered you channel and you are such a joy to watch!
Hey thanks 😊
Nice plane, nice review👍🏻
Great review yet again.
I want it. Love Steam Gauges.
As Robert De Niro Once said, "You're GOOD!!"

I usually wait for your reviews before purchasing, but I jumped on this when I saw it was available. The terms "Cessna" and "Steam Gauge" are a big factor in my purchase decisions. You phrased it so correctly - This aircraft scratches the itch of analog Cessna, power, and simplicity - it's the sportier version of comfy slippers. The next Carenado that I'm hoping beyond hope for is the 210 Turbo Centurion which i think would round out my carenado fleet quite nicely. As always thank you for your reviews, they are a great help - even after purchase!
CROCS IN SPORT MODE :D
@@AvAngel I was thinking the fleece-lined slippers in front of a fireplace with a cup of coffee, but you do you lol :D
:D
I did the same thing: Jumped on it as soon as I saw it. I am very happy with it and have been flying it a lot! I concur with just about everything in the review, too. In the end, it's Carenado -- you can usually count on them to do a pretty good job, although I had to laugh when I was able to open the doors in mid-flight at night, but not the windows -- REALLY!!?? All in all, though, it's a great aircraft, and reasonably priced.
It’s in my hanger and I ❤ it 👍🙏🏻👨✈️✈️
I'm hooked to this one! I'm normally skeptical when buying carenado.
"Come on Carenado, you can even open the doors in flight" (proceeds to open door). 🤣
This will be my first MSFS Carenado produkt. I really like the plane
Was lucky enough to fly the real fg gear 182 for two years all over SoCal......never had a problem at any airport great machine..........
😪I know Bella Coola is closer to your "Angel's Roost/Perch" airport but us guys on the ground crew here at Orcas really miss you and all your short hops around the patch.😥 If you're ever in the neighborhood and have the time, a "touch and go" and a wave would make the boys and my day! 👍🏽
I do come back to Orcas more than you know :D
Thanks for the look. I have Carenado's V35B and C207 (plus their Beech 18, but I rarely fly that as I don't favor taildraggers and those big round engines make it hard to see taxiing--I've sat in the pilot's seat and hats off to those who fly it), so I'm wondering how much I'd fly the 182. Is it unique enough? I also wish it were the turbo--that would give it an edge over the Bonanza (although it's amazing that the naturally-aspirated 182 has an 18,100' service ceiling).
Hurray! My little retractable chum is back! Now if we could just have that C207 back I might get perhaps just a little bit over excited..
Agreed!
I'm glad you and ITB reviewed this one so quick, I almost impulse bought it. Can you F10 a new seat position, or does it crash like the 337?
Not sure honestly.
Thanks for another great review! I wonder if Carenado will update and bring their C210 over to 2020, or 2024?
I think we MIGHT see some of their older non "HD" series ones first, 210 made the leap to HD after the skymaster.
Looks like a great addon! It is weird thst some Carenado planes don't allow open windows during flight. Their Beechcraft V35's storm window does the same thing.
I went back and looked at my M20 Ovation and saw that the MSFS pilots are displayed in that one, too! So glad they changed it I might fly it again. What I do wish is that Asobo (or a third party developer) would create an app that would allow us to create and customize our own pilots. Something like the character creation tools found in other games. Though for the 182RG, I wouldn't complain if they had both a steam gauge and G1000 version available like the default 172.
2024 might do that :D
Have you re-analyzed the Maule since it was updated? I was very much looking forward to it but decided to delay buying after seeing the issues it had on your review.
Got that planned for this week, I will be giving it a full re-review.
Was the "500" comment coming from the C182 or from some add-on that you had installed (& if an add-on, which one?)
Gtn 750 nxi module
My avionics are completely dark after turning them on. Thoughts ?
I might actually get this one (on sale) just because stupid Asobo only gave us a glass-cockpit C172 and no-one has made an analogue C172 yet. I use MSFS 2020 on monthly Gamepass for PC subscription, refuse to pay those high prices for Deluxe version, especially with MSFS 2024 now announced.
🏆😃Thank you for that beautiful presentation! Please let me know the route you took, from where to where 🙏
This is orbx’s Bella Coola in British Columbia
@@AvAngel Thank you for the quick answer! 🍀
@@AvAngel Greetings from Bella Coola🤩
One more thing: I‘m afraid the autopilot does not work properly. Altitude settings are possible, but all the others I can’t adjust.
Would you confirm that?
Hey, does anyone here know if there is a cessna 210 coming for the sim?
A couple of issues i noticed with it, hardly any rudder movement visible when looking at the back of the aircraft, surely it moves more than that in real life? Also the autopilot unit is powered on even though everything is turned off at the start. Bit odd. Hope they fix that
I checked again, seems like its almost no animation, likely a bug?
@@AvAngel I suspect so, that and the autopilot issue is a bit frustrating. I actually like the plane in the sim, flies great. Hope these minor items get fixed soon
carenado always eels to make cheap planes but charge like it’s nice
About setting propeller, M.A.P. and Rpm ? 😊😊😊
They all work exactly as intended yes
hi whats that ipad thing you got
The tablet? its in the plane :) for options.
my avionics, and autopilot dont turn on
Has anyone flying this noticed that sometimes after everything is shut down, the prop keeps turning?
Cut the fuel
You're not the only YTer to say this, but this isn't the first non C172 with steam gages in the sim... remember the C337, which I believe you made a video on previously.
there's also the Analog Caravan.... but those are different. With "Cessna", most people mean the 152/172/182
I mean really the single engine Cessnas
There's also the freeware 152 with steam gauges, by JPL and WB-Sims.
Lovely as it is, its not a 'go somewhere' Cessna :D
Av angel I bet you didn't know this but the phone and mic jack the mic jack is spelled wrong
XD Probably a translation issue, they're English as a second language.
In modeling and textures they are unattainable!!!
It is a shame this is not a normal Cessna 182 steam gauge we could take in to the back country.
We might get one, who knows, but its a good chance we'll see the 180
is it worth it?
its prettu good. nice sounds, nice rudder authority, not too sensitive like many aircraft, however the elevator feels a bit touchy, with some small changes in senstivity this can be fixed. its worth what you pay. being $29AUD so about 15-16 BP
@@Oglongs Thank you
Bought it. Had only one flight so far in her. My opinion? Rather just there. Nothing spectacular, nothing outside the usual fare from the Devs. That's all.
Didn't you get it? Doors are speedbrakes!
Lol
No Garmin G1000 for $20? Diamond DA62 is way better.
I actually PREFER it not having a damn G1000... the G1000 would make it worse imho. Glass doesn't improve everything.
@@AvAngel I felt the same way until I really learned the G1000. After that, there's no turning back.
I can use it, I don't like it. I prefer the touch screen options specifically in the sim, I honestly LIKE flying this way myself. Once you're used to your gauge scans, its second nature.
It’s a bit boring. Also carenado don’t state save your avionics choices
Boring but sometimes boring is nice
