    When are you uploading more with this Guitar?

    • @lucaszembrzuski
      @lucaszembrzuski  Před 2 lety

      I will upload something when i will record something, right now im sick and
      have to take care of my child, i dont't have as much time as i would like to.
      I want to record Pat Metheny Quartet's "Language of Time" because it's my 40'th
      birthday today and i got BOSS SY-1 from my brother yesterday and i have Pat's
      synth trumpet sound almost nailed :)
      Meanwhile i recommend You channel called "Joey Anthony Guitar", he made a few well
      made videos about the guitar and i can confirm that mine sounds like that, so it's not overproduced etc..

    Nice playing man!
    I own an Ibanez AZ and a custom fender tele (modern C)
    Their necks are quite smooth with decent string action enabling me to play chords and fast lines well.. Is the string action on this one playable as well? If compared to the 2 above mentionned guitar.

    • @lucaszembrzuski
      @lucaszembrzuski  Před 2 lety +1

      I like low action and i didn't have to change anything in this guitar's setup except for crowning the fret ends and sanding the back of the neck a bit so it's less sticky. I don't know how it compares to the AZ but the neck is not a wizard :)

      @@lucaszembrzuski Thanks for the reply man! Cheers!
      AZ neck is almost like traditional strat Modern C / D shape but more playable. I sold my Fender elite strat for this and no regret till now.
      Now, looking forward to the Ibanez AMH90 for Christmas :D

    I have a plan to buy the same guitar, but i was suprised when i find out that this is actualy a full-halowbody guitar(and no semihallow:(. Does thin pease of wood (under the pickups&bridge) helps in terms of sustain ang non-feedbacking?

    • @lucaszembrzuski
      @lucaszembrzuski  Před rokem

      I've never played it very loud so i can't tell if there is no problem with feedback, but this is AMH90 (H means Hollow in this one), check out AM93 models, they are actually the same guitars but semi hollow.

    I'm interested in this guitar, can you do more videos? eheh, how do you feel about the medium frets? and can you make a review in a comment? Sorry bothering you, hope you enjoying it

    • @lucaszembrzuski
      @lucaszembrzuski  Před 2 lety +3

      Im a strat guy so medium frets are nothing unusual to me. I will probably make some new videos this weekend with this guitar.
      I will point out the most important things for me:
      - It's light, lighter than semi hollow of the same size (compared to ES-339) and there is a slight neck dive.
      - It's louder acoustically than semi hollow of the same size.
      - split/parallel sounds are really nice, less volume, more sparkle, less bass and mids.
      - pickups are loud and bright, not the usual humbuckers, for this video i had volume on 80%,
      tone on 25%, neck pickup, Wampler Ego Mini compressor (blend max, compression 50%, \
      treble switch down, attack switch up).
      - Seeing that Pat Metheny and John Scofield both use Super 58's i though it would be some pinnacle of guitar
      pickups, but they use Super 58 Custom (whatever that means), yes it is a step above the lower tier Ibanez jazz box
      pickups (i had AG75 and they were muddy), they have a lot more clarity and feel more dynamic,
      but i understand now why some people change them anyway for something
      more P.A.F.'ish, if i had the money i would probably change the bridge one for something with less power like
      Seymour Duncan SH-1 59' or APH-1 Alnico Pro (that one i use in my strat and i get better Scofield tones out of it
      than on the Ibanez, i know that John is using the neck pickup but i'ts probably because of bright amp, VOX AC30).
      - i crowned the frets a bit, nothing was sharp, but since i did it to my strat, i feel everything on other guitars :)
      - i put a piece of sponge from some box, under the strings that are between the bridge and tailpiece, because
      there were additional sounds every time i play, it i were playing loud, i would not hear it probably, but i play
      quiet at home so i hear everything.
      - i plan to put some locking tuners on it just for the convenience of string changing, it should be a standard by now,
      at least in guitars of this price range, if Harley Benton can put locking tuners on 2x cheaper guitars...
      - due to no other colors than black and rose/red with gold gear, i got the black version, but it looks great,
      very classy, gold is not so flashy that i was afraid, but black lacquer is very hard to maintain clean ;)
      - i will sand the neck lacquer a bit, sometimes it's ok, and sometimes it's very tacky.
      - it was set up nice as i got it, i don't think that it was open by the shop (guitarcenter.pl),
      so it's a factory setup, action is not super low but it's low enough that i didn't make any changes,
      (about 2.5mm from the 12'th fret) and 3-piece neck makes me hope that it will stay that way :)
      If You have any additional questions just tell me.
      If You want i can make a video just showing the guitar clean and with different drive pedals (tumnus, ts, kot, fuzz etc..)

      @@lucaszembrzuski Wow thank you so much for that big info! Yeah if you do more videos just do it in clean, because im a jazz guy ahaha. Yeah you know, I was thinking about getting the Red Cherry one, but I'm afraid the different paint material could make it sound differently than the black glossy one. Do you know if there's too much difference?

      @@diogocostajazz2234 I don't know, glossy lacquer seems to be harder so maybe, it would affect some tones, but not a lot i guess :)
