Just did my own test on flight time and got opposite result to this video. What the review got wrong is using same throttle %. It didn't take into account that the ESC calibration and/or motor kv is different so that with same throttle % in Tx you get 600RPM higher on the EVO. This probably explains the difference in flight time. On my Radiomaster i had to set 10% lower throttle on EVO to get same actual RPM. This was checked with a tachometer. I did back to back 5 min flights at 4600RPM and the S2 had 3.801V remaining (35%) whereas the Evo had 3.828V remaining (45%). This tends to point to the Evo being able to fly longer, certainly not the opposite.
As for 'power' .. If both helis run same RPM and same collective pitch range, and blades are the same, and the Evo is slightly lighter (and neither 'bogs down') then I dont see how one could feel more powerful?
PS...You shouldn't run 100% on these helis, they have governor and TALY which need headroom to work.

Howzit fellas. I begrudgingly ordered my Goosky s2 from HD last week. I had been waiting for the OMP M2 evo to become available for over a month and finally gave up. I told myself ill just ''settle" for the "clone" of the m2 evo and get the Goosky for now. I had been flying an OMP M1 for a while now, doing pitch pumpy smacky 3d, you know the kind of flying you like to do after and 11hr workday, and was ready and Itching for a step up in size. I received it a couple of days ago, i got the bind and fly version. The bird came with 3 batts and the blutooth dongle and some spare parts like this video mentioned. When I first took it out of the box and felt the weight and looked closer at this machine, I just knew that I made a good decision. I have put exactly 12 flights on this bird and all I can say is WOW. The tail holds like an anchor on a reef, the power...oh the power is scary yet confidence inducing. The sound it makes when you hit full pitch is just unreal. I haven't seen anybody talk about the shape of the blades for the Goosky S2, yes, they are much like the m2 but the big difference is at the tips...the Goosky blades have hook shaped tips, which is what makes it sound so great. It is easier to fly than the M1. It feels like it floats in the air when you go easy on it. The canopy looks unreal in person...and then there's the battery system.., can you say Awesome!!! its so easy and quick to get the next pack in there. Put all that together with the fact that it has a bluthooth interface makes it the Winner in my humble opinion. I think if Jonas flew the Goosky he would agree. Please check out Tareqs video with this bird. And if you are on the fence about this bird...go for it..its worth it. Peace out pilots.

In full disclosure as we do on the radio, I am an OMP fan since the M2 Explore came out, but found it interesting that you didn't find even one thing that the M2 Evo is better than the S2 just to be less subjective... But like you said, we as the consumer make the decision as to which fits us and our flying style better. I do intend to try the S2 myself when there are more than one U.S. retailer to buy from for better parts availability.

@westhobbiesrc - Jeff I enjoy your videos, these are very interesting results. Would you be able to redo your tests with some additional criteria? Accurately measure the head speed of each heli. Then fly each heli using the lipo from the S2 and again each heli using the lipo from Evo. It would be interesting to know if this will help you draw further or possibly refine your conclusions.

Thank you I appreciate it! So I have put countless flights on both models over the last few months. Of course I don’t record every flight lol but I have probably gotten well over 200 flights on the S2 and over 100 on the Evo. I have done the batteries from each and power for the S2 no matter the battery is the same. But! I could definitely do eight more further test results with actual head speed numbers! The only way to properly measure your head speed would be with a tack so I will have to do some figuring on rigging the helicopters down to a board but! Don’t worry it will be done very soon! Because so many people say it is throttle percentage or curves but it is simply that the S2 just has more power!

I have tested both helis too.
M2 is a very good heli, S2 is better:
    Sfhss ready, no rx needed
More rigid (3 bearing stage on main shaft, frame stiffeners, metal case servo, full bearings washout arms)
    More power
    More agile
Better gyro ( better cyclic and tail response. it doesnt make scary full pirouettes when you reach the limits of the tail and the tail holds overspeed way better)
    Beautifull canopy
