As someone that has done both..... I have to disagree haha. Being a missionary was one of the most incredible things I've ever done, because of how much I grew personally because of it. It grew my relationship with my Heavenly Father greatly. But now I'm in college, and that is a good thing too!
I was an honorable missionary who strived to obey all the rules. I was very successful in my conversion efforts and made it the whole two years. Even became a zone leader. I highly recommend not going on a mission. It is indeed a waste of time and is not what you think it will be.
