Flip Top Tool Stand

- I recently bought my Ridgid Spindle Sander and already had a Porter Cable PC305TP thickness planer. Both tools were not easily accessible because I had to move them around to different locations. This made the Flip Top Tool Stand all the more appealing. A great idea! I followed Brad Rodriguez's plans over at www.fixthisbuildthat.com. Go grab yourself these plans. Basically you can't really beat an already good design. However I did modify it a little. I reinforced the latch notches and reversed the bolts in the table instead of using lag screws. Enjoy!

Great job, one of the best builds I've seen
Very kind sir, thank you.
Im not a huge fan of videos that people dont talk during them but I have to point out one thing Iove about this video. This exact cart is built SOOO many times on youtube and its a great design. I was leaning toward doing a different version of the flip top because the bigger channels used a dado blade on their table saw to cut the groove for the eyelet and I dont have a dado blade. It is so stinking obvious to use the router table like you did but I didnt even think about it. That was a genius move! Thanks.
Thank you for being kind and encouraging.
Great job! To those that gave a thumbs down why don't you post why? When anyone can make something that serves a purpose I always applaud them! And if you can't make it yourself it's not his fault!
Thank you! There are always going to be haters. Take for example my nightstand build. So far I have 5 haters and 88 awesome people! You can't win them all.....
I didn't thumb down, but I'd venture to guess it was the music. It's kinda annoying.
Good build. Like that your tools aren't 5 miles up in the air like so many builds on here that I've watched.
Thank you sir! I'm trying!
Thanks for sharing
Thanks for watching!
Great video and design! Glad you shared it as I need to rebuild my own. This gives me some great ideas. Appreciate the reference to the 'Fix This Build That' video too. Happy to see the community share and collaborate! Thanks!

Don't know if it will hold up.... you should add some more pocket holes and screws to sturdy it up...:)
I’m going to drill another screw on it just for you......
@@SCWD_US ..thank goodness for that so it won't fall apart and hurt someone...

What thickness ply did you use.? Also what was the rod/pipe you used to rotate table around?
tobor1957 - hey! I used 3/4” ply and a 3’ steel pipe which was 3/4” thick. Did you give me a like?
Nice work, you could've used a couple more screws though :-)
mrangry65 - lol you think? Thanks!
Haha
bien, les vis, vous êtes sûr que ça va tenir?? :) :)
Eric Bloss - Je voulais utiliser plus :) Je vous remercie!
