“There were never a Grand Prix in Dewsbury” Classic❗️
No Grand Prix in Dewsbury??!
Ecki thump !
I'll go to the foot of ower stairs.
Hello Gentle Men, I thank you all heartedly for this 'Me and Mon Ami' e-Prix sponsored reportage, which I thoroughly appreciated as you both have become my favourite 'Riviera' Reporters. Much love to you both, Jean-Louis
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed!
How clever of Twiggy to have stayed in a warm home and watched it on Tv! 🙂
I went to the first ever e-F1 in MC just because it was offered for free. 😎
I’m saying nowt!
Given the stratospheric Monaco shop prices, me thinks that t he bods that go into UK shops and clear the shelves, without paying,.. should, according to good monetarist principles, be re-locating.
"There's an SC flag up Mr Boo,.. What does it mean ?" Mr Boo. "Sh*tty Conditions" ..
Spot-on Mr Boo, thanks for the best laugh of the week
New Music Hall joke...... What is the prix de l'electric.? .. About 26.8 pence per kilowatt hour.
(A worthy successor to "How much does a Greek earn (urn).?)
Thanks soldiering through to take us along. How many can say, "I have friends in Monaco who took us to the e-Grand Prix?"
True!;
Where you were sitting was the part of the track where the cars run over some sensors in the road to activate their 'attack mode'. Unfortunately the grandstand is on the wrong side of the track and you can't see them actually doing it. That was why the cars were cornering to the outside of the Casino corner.
When the Monaco e-prix first started, the batteries were so naff that each driver had two cars and stopped halfway through the race to jump in the charged car. Also the track was much shorter as the cars would use so much power getting up the hill from St Devote that they would be chugging along like electric milk floats!
Twiggy had the right idea!
Interesting! Yes we figured eventually it was the attack bit. I can’t tell you how bored the crowd were in our stand!
Fab vlog 👍 thanks
“Giant Scalextric”…….😂 Wonder what Murray Walker would have thought!
I wonder!
I always liked Mick Hucknell’s quote when he called Monaco “ Alcatraz for the rich”. You got out through the escape tunnel.😂Awesome day out though.
I’m saying nowt!
Great to see it all guys thanks for taking us all along on another interesting adventure 🎉
A very interesting dabble into the arena of e-prix and seeing Monaco from the perspective
of the traveller fighting their way through the crowded streets.
It was a great relief to hear a mention of "Le Gash" once again and in connection to a badly made
ham sandwich, which added a certain degree of relatable realism.
Drive safely.👍🏼🥪
It was a behind the scenes!;
I was in Monaco yesterday after stopping in. Villefranche to look for you two! lol! I did not know that the Grand Prix was taking place and I was able to watch a bit of it for free! The noise is unbelievable especially in the middle of a city! Great last day on the Côte d’Azur.
We were in town yesterday. Parked in the car park and swimming!
We need Citroen Ami races!
Watch this space we have something coming!
Definitely the best car racing coverage that I've ever seen !
We are naturals!
I was at the first Monaco Formula E Grand Prix, which was held on the day before my birthday in 2015. I watched it from Grandstand K at Port Hercule, which has views from the Tabac corner through to the first swimming pool chicane. Those GEN1 cars had limited range - the track was shorter than the regular grand prix Monaco circuit (though much of it was the same), and there was a mid-race car swap because the GEN1 cars didn't have the range to complete the course on a single charge.
Now that one sounded fun!
Well that was different! That guy who kept on getting up so you couldn't see a thing! Good to see familiar places in Monte Carlo but really your lovely sandwiches were more exciting than the race. Good to see Jaguar were 1 and 2 though
Yes jags win apparently!
It's something different and as always fun to watch!
Pretty cool! And here I thought the electric Grand Prix would be boring. For the price you guys paid, you caught some of the excitement the marque event will bring in its wake to Monaco. Only real downsides are the crowds and the unpredictable weather! That said, its a welcome chance of pace from the Mountain Village Challenge. The Monasques really like to let their hair down and enjoy life and the famous casino there is home to more than just gambling. Thanks for the video! 😊
Yes though we are longing for a bit of pastoral!
Chester zoo..we had a school trip there in the mid 1970s, the ancient ex Liverpool corporation bus caught fire on the way home. You unlocked a forgotten memory! ❤
That sounds a cracking day out! Everyone went to Chester Zoo then didn’t they!?
Thanks for showing us, very entertaining as always.
Thanks Janet
Thanks for sharing another great video Tim and Mr Boo, we loved your outing to Monaco E Grand Prix can’t believe the speed they can go, ask them if they happy to put that power into Elton 🤣
Myself my wife and our dog are finally subscribed to your channel, stay charged and next time take Elton no crash helmet needed 😅
Thanks for subscribing. They don’t make it easy! And yes they do motor!
We will be us Three living Huge 🎉
Monoprix!!! 😂😂😂😂
A Highly Chargecard day. Amazing sometime how republic Monaco is. Deo Juvante. Another Buzzing Video.
Glad you enjoyed it
Thank you so much for this video. I've been curious about it for a long time. In 2019, I was in Nice, and could have attended the Grand Prix with some friends of friends. But I was concerned that it would be frightfully expensive and overly long. I didn't want to get roasted in the sun. Races in the US go for hours and hours, so I was concerned about that. And I would have been among strangers. But I've always been curious about the process! In the end, I did visit Monaco a few days later and rode a bus around the track while they were taking down the stands. I appreciate your perspective!
Well thank you both, now I am sure I can miss this excitement..... ;)
Our pleasure!
No helmet? A helmet is NOT on your head unless its done up.... I've picked up several dead motorcyclists with no helmet after it came off on impact. I used to work as an instructor...
I was concentrating on filming!;
Sorry Tim your life is more important than a video .
Whatever tf
I was about to say the same. If you fall off, chances are the helmet will hit the ground followed by your skull. The outcome is rarely a happy one. As the other person commented, I was also a riding instructor with Star Rider (remember them?) plus I was a copper back in the day.
The tickets were only €35 last year opposite the pits in a grandstand but we went down early to watch the practice and then round to the fan park where there was music and entertainment. It’s not expensive if you make a day of it but I guess expensive for one race. I recommend being nearer the harbour (if anybody fancies going) as it was a short hop to the fanpark.
Good tip. We couldn’t find any mention of fan park (at the e prix or Grand Prix?)
It still feels like some something is missing without petrol engines in racing.
I know what you mean although I’m not a formula one fan either.
Enjoyed the video, they did remind me of scalextrix cars,I live a few miles from Chester, the zoo not too far away from me.funny watching twiggy at home, watching to.unfortunately didn’t get to nice, ourselves missed flight first time then second time wife was ill,so booked again now for 22nd of may.3rd time lucky hopefully.looking forward to it.
Hope you have a great time
Coolio! And you're right, a bit strange without a lot of sound coming from those vehicles. I wonder what their top speeds were? By the by, I have that black bluetooth speaker you looked at in my own Ami. It's called the Megaboom. Sounds good. Works great. I keep it behind the seat where it amplifies a bit. (Don't keep a lot of other junk there). Then I can just cover it up with a little blanket while I shop, etc.
Yes we wanted it but the problem is it’s Bluetooth only and we need to hardwire it from the CarPlay
Would love to hear the Shirley Bassey story.
So fun guys!! Thank you 💕
Our pleasure!
Very, very enjoyable Episode. Keep up the Great Work my Friends.🧸🧸🐶🚙
Thanks Jamie!
Awesome video, great insight into monaco at race time!
thanks very much. I enjoyed the behind the scenes as I’d no idea!
Hi Tim and Mr Boo we are sitting in very wet la vienne watching your latest instalment in stitches of laughter over your egg mayo sandwich story made our day
I still have flashbacks when I hear the words Chester Zoo!
Very interesting video. Thanks! Best bit was Twiggy watching the TV (hilarious) 🤣🤗
She was very wise£
Looked like a council house in Dewsbury with tv’s that size!👍
They must have very big council houses!
Great editing! I love this channel!
Thank you so much!
Nice seats at the Casino
Yes good seats!
Electric content, guys!
Happen!
Great vlog Tim & mr boo 🫡
Thanks!
this will be fun.. also eat pastrami..
Measuring app. That sounds so useful
Wow I absolutely enjoyed this and the videography is stunning as always. I’ll definitely visit when I could.
Thanks Sean
Nice video Mr Boos first Booprix, until next time stay charged, Byyyeee
Boo prix!
You guys just get better it's become our must watch on a Sunday evening after tea. The photography is amazing and you really get the feeling you are part of it . We love how you drop in sayings form West Yorkshire as we are in Cleckheaton. I've recommended your channel to all my colleagues and hopefully they will start to enjoy your content. Can't wait for the next adventure.
Thanks very much for spreading the word it really helps us
And Twiggs xo
It's been weirdly cold everywhere in Europe, North Africa too 😮
Yup very odd!
Excellent fun and thank you Both! Big question is where you found a pastrami baguette?? If it was any good then let me know please!
Lagache. They do great bread but I’d say the pastrami was ok!
I'm convinced. Why bother with the IC version any more?
I guess I’m not a fan of either really
Using the Collecting Cars podcast/CZcams channel intro music was a stroke of genius and a great cheeky steal!
It was an accident I confess I’ve never listened to it!
super votre vidéo comme d habitude un grand merci
Merci beaucoup
I buy Wolford clothing their Tights are the best and not that expensive here £25 a pair and are very good quality , Also the Monaco GP has provided so many special memories for me , My late dad used to be F1 Mad and i vividly remember him on the edge of his seat hoping Senna would beat Mansell in the 92 Monaco GP Senna was in a much slower car Mansell was right up his bumper but somehow Senna won ! it was amazing
I’d never heard of them!
@@MeandMonAmi lol 🤣 👍 they are a big brand
Oh my...soo cool
A tad portrait mini vlog style though 😢
Up to you usual fun
The Dewsbury Grand Prix is a must imho.
Love the Bourne Trilogy tribute music too...
And Mr Boo in a Monaco Grand Prix race marshal jump suit
Irresistible❤
I need the Sal Volatile...
He he. Can’t vlog on the secret spex in landscape!
@@MeandMonAmi AHH...I see ...secret images are sideways images...
I didn't know that !
Makes sense.
Still, Mr. Boo in the safety car with his pepperoni baguette would be a giggle...
😱
Mister Me and Mister Boo and Elton and Twiggy 🐶🐕❤ is this just a bigger version of Scalectrix 🤔🤣🤣 surely there should be some sort of engine sound on a racing car 😮😮 as for the prices in the shops😮😮😮 rich people can easily be parted with their money Tim 💰 😊 interesting vlog with ya both, stay safe and well and obviously stay charged 😊🎉
I think it kind of is, sadly! Thanks David
Sh*tty conditions had me creased up! 😅
We need to see more of Tim & Mr Boo shopping in posh shops. Absolutely hilarious 😂
We do it often. Well, look in the winders!
@@MeandMonAmi it made me laugh with the crash helmet on the tortoise !
Tim and Mr. Boo:
How much were tickets to sit where you were sitting ? When the security guard scanned your phone, was that to validate your tickets ? Excellent film, Gentlemen. :)
Antoine
Thanks. €45 each
@@MeandMonAmi We were there last year during this event. As you know, 80 % of the Principality was closed off for the E.V. Formula 1. We were quite "taken aback" at the OVER $ 1,000 ticket prices to sit near Albert and his family. The place was ALWAYS about "tourist money". :) Nice job. :)
Wow! What. Great ride! Tim- I think you are looking particularly dapper - where did you get your green jumper? Very becoming on you! ❤❤❤
Scotch and soda closed down in Cap 3000 on the day we were there. 70% off!
🎉
Love FNAC ...some great tech there!
Yes though Boulanger lays it out better for my money
I've never seen a clippie on the Villefranche - Monaco train. It's always packed!
Oh I know of at least five people who been dipped
Monaco stay passionate... 2024
great vid!,,,, its just a pain in the azz to get to your seat,,, ya i well never be going through all that security just to watch a race,,,:(
I hate all the security stuff but to be fair here that wasn’t too bad and very friendly
Thanks for the experience of watching the electric Grand Prix . Maybe take a cushion next time ? Not good for your “ Bernard miles “ ? I went to see the play of boys from the black stuff at the royal court Liverpool yesterday , it was brilliant, only to read today ( Sunday ) Bernard hill has died the original “ yosser hughes “ . Stay charged.
Indeed sad about bernard (hill) not miles!
Excellent, once again. I have heard you mention keyrings and stickers, are they still available? I can’t see them on your site.
No, sadly, but there’s other merch.
You two are like me, all excited about the spectacular but once their your wondering why :) cars , zoomy , em . Thanks for sharing , would be very exciting to go thou.
All gong and no dinner as someone once said!
@@MeandMonAmi hahaha , I've never heard that one before :)
Hi lads from Spain. At least it was much quieter! I can't stand all that noise from the gas guzzlers, it offends me because my ears are sensitive ever since Adolf tried to kill me with a V2 and then I was working around heavy guns then around jet aircraft. Now I live in a nice quiet village.
Very wise. I hate the noise too!
A great video of Monaco and the eprix - not really my cup of tea but interesting all the same and worth doing just the once 👍🏻
I think you are right !
From here on SC = Shitty Conditions 🤣
It made me laugh too though I didn’t let on!;
Hi Tim, can you tell me which measuring app you use, it looks very impressive. Great video as always. Cheers guys.👍
I think it’s called, boringly, measure!
@@MeandMonAmi Thanks Tim 👍
Did Mr Boo really say the race was 56,000 miles long? That's more than the circumference of the Earth... Think of the recharges...
He did I think he got a bit confused! Only 29 laps too!
Interesting. Thanks for taking us along! Will you be doing this every year? Did you enjoy it despite all of the faff of train travel, crowds and the cold? Twigs was wise to stay home, n'est pas? lol
No I think once is enough for me!
@@MeandMonAmi That's what I thought! LOL! By the by, what does 'cold' mean in the South of France? 18C? 20C? I was just thinking to myself how warm it is out today, and it's 18C...in shorts and T...windows wide open...but I thought that might be cold for you guys! lol
Today was 18 and cloudy and that’s a nice temp. Spring is weird here. Tee-shirts and shorts with sun out. Jumpers and coats when it’s in and the wind blows down from the alps. It’s quite hard to explain!
@@MeandMonAmi Same here on the Canadian prairies....today it's blowing a hoolie and rain. So much for me taking out my new e bike! (First time on a bike in decades!!) We get strange weather lows blowing up from Colorado, and from the west off the Rockies. Spring has been cool, wet and foggy (and bloody windy!!)...
Never seen an e-grandprix. Something different. I still prefer the real thing. Guess I'm an old fashioned petrol head. Great video as always. 😅
I don’t think I like either!
@MeandMonAmi grand prixs are not the same today. I remember going to Silverstone and Monza in 1989 in the days of Nigel Mansell, Alain Prost, Ayrton Senna. Real fine racing at its best.
@@470danadidas It all seems more akin to a computer game now..
There should be a Twiggyprix.
More fun!
Do you think I have been watching to much French stuff? I have been listing to Vicky Leandros for the last week. I can remember her winning Eurovision for Luxembourg with Apre Toi? I think she is the same age as me? Just googled her she is Greek!
It cannot be special every week, can it? I guess it can!
56000 miles & 5l laps??? That’s like a thousand miles a lap. Maybe 29 laps and 59 miles 🤣
I think Mr Boo’s fax machine broke!
@@MeandMonAmi 😂🤣😂
Quite a bit of security control, perhaps even too much, but in today's world, it's sadly necessary, anyway, it was a really good day overall, but that last part on the way back was just ridiculous. Such poor organization, it's unbelievable!
Hopefully their new AI system will sort it. They only have a few platforms in that station but they are enormous
Boo seems to be wearing an arseless hat?!?
Battery powered racing cars are boring, boring, boring. I would go as far as to say, they are very boring. If you want electric car racing, get a Scalextric set.
I agree but I think formula one is just as boring!
Shitty conditions 😂
Sorry boys but I'd rather watch paint dry than watching crap electric cars.
We're being forced into something that's not going to happen.
