Now, I'll not have you diss Sandsend. We used to visit my grandparents house right on the cliffs at the North End of Whitby at 31 Mulgrave Road and walk down to the Beach, buying some sweeties from the little Kiosk and spend many happy hours swimming in the Sea, collecting Mussels, or walking further on the cliffs where you could pick Blackberries. Sandsend was the posh end of the Beach then. Aaah happy memories. 😉
It was. I loved it as a kid but sometimes you’d queue so long in traffic that the weather would have changed by the time you got there
Those old Citroen w/ the hydraulic suspension I still classic being that I had sides skirts in the rear. The suspension would actually lift the car off the ground to change a tire tire. The car was known to be far ahead of its time. My favorite car was when you first entered the mini that had no nose that was powered by the monster drink, love that car. Love you boys take care thanks again.
Yes they are wonderful but must be crazy difficult to get into multi story car parks etc now

I could smell the burning tires through the screen in the last part. Just to make the other competitors not look that bad, one must say that you were in a huge advantage - you know all of this area like the back of your hand 🤣🤣 and the technology of Elton is 20 years younger than the youngest of the other cars....

Wow! that was maybe the most eclectic assemblage of autos I've ever seen. And riding along with the only unlicensed driver to win the La Rade Classique was something you can only see on Me and Mon Ami! Thanks for taking us along!

LOL, the only car race in which you can make a sandwich stop in Èze le Village,, with possible success. Great race against all those slower cars though.🙂

Agree with you Tim fast cars in this day and age dont matter , good example on Friday i had a very angry man undertake me on a dual carriageway at Bagshot in the UK , I was doing the 60mph speed limit and when i caught up to his BMW M8 at the lights he was so rude to me , said my Fiat 500 was a crap car and i held him and others up ! I said to him i was doing the speed limit and your driving a BMW because you couldn't afford a Mercedes LOL he was not a happy man and sped off haha
They only make sense on autoroutes/motorways. Most times around town they get there in the same time we do.

It's definitely not the speed, just the style, food, and wine you have en route. The E-Type all the way for us. The air-suspension Renault is next for sheer comfort and ride.

Interestingly the battery is a simple 48v 14S lifepo4 holding just 5.4KW - it would be easy enough to build an Eve type of 1kw which would give a range of some 200 km
The problem is it then ceases to be a ‘light quad’ and would therefore need a licence to drive like any conventional car in France which would cut out masses of their market
