I got kicked out of h.s. band for biting on the reed of my Alto sax for squealing out high notes. Then ten years later I was playing lead trumpet and hanging over on a double C in Memphis State, Dr. McKay asked me not too this again. lol
Born in 47 and by 1970 we were steppin out. We went through our teen years in the 60s. Watch an early Beatles crowd. The Boomers will never be forgotten.

I remember i was 10 years old back in 1973 born and raised in Richmond California, and i used to hear this song on the radio in my mothers car and i begged her to get me this album "Long Train Runnin". Well finally one day it payed off we stopped off into a record store in Berkley and she got it for me. Turns out that whole album is freakin amazing. One of my all time favorite albums.
One of if not the best American band of my generation. First concert I ever saw when I was about 14 and my sister took me to see them at the International Amphitheater in Chicago as they were touring in support of the first big hit Listen To The Music at which time I thought was one of the greatest songs I had ever heard. Loved them ever since the first time I heard it on the radio. 🐢 and here I am still loving them in April of 2023

Micheal Ullman--I saw them when I was 18-years-old. It was a great concert & I would love to see them again. I still have my ticket stub from that concert. I would guess the tickets won't be $8.50 now.

You know...Tom has been back for some 30+ years. When they toured as the Cycles album came out, it was such a rush to have basically the original band back. They are fine artists and craftsmen now. Better than ever. I’m 59.
Still amazing after all these years, they sound and look as good as ever. They should be extremely proud of what they have given to fans all these years. Very deserving of the Rock N Roll Hall Of Fame and should have been in much sooner.

50 years ago now in one of the most memorable summers ever, this classic song (my favorite from the Doobies) was burning our radios at home and in our cars up. It spent three weeks in the top 10 and peaked at #8 on June 30, 1973. Tom Johnston has changed very little over the years. He obviously loves his work performing. Love how the crowd jumps in on the "my love" refrain.

50 years ago now in one of the most memorable summers ever, this classic song (my favorite from the Doobies) was burning our radios at home and in our cars up. It spent three weeks in the top 10 and peaked at #8 on June 30, 1973.
Tom Johnston has changed very little over the years. He obviously loves his work performing. Love how the crowd jumps in on the "my love" refrain.
