Aljomain Sterling: “Bro buttscooting in BJJ is so fucking lame dude”
Also Aljomain Sterling: **puts hands on the mat after failing his 27th single leg attempt**
The fight with Henry is so fucking atrocious especially since Henry was at the perfect height to blast Aljo into the next dimension. UFC is gonna lose alot of viewers to ONE if they dont get more lenient with the rules (also #freethe12to6)
Aljo was the most boring champ ever, Belal will take that mantle if he beats Leon who is also incredibly boring 😂😂 glad we've got Aspinall because Leon's a terrible champion
Sterling never earned it
@@davidtawse6765I agree with all of your points 100% 👏🏻 I think Aspinall will one day be regarded as the best British MMA fighter ever if he continues, barring further injuries.
@@wadesullivan5623😂 nobody takes One seriously. They got some crazy strikers because there's basically no drug testing
That where One Championship is coming. You can knee on the ground. More entertainment, no drama and the fighters were paid well.
And one fc is already on the verge of being bankrupt..LOL ,they burning cash and also they absolutely dont pay fighters more..LOL thats a complete myth ,Adriano moraes got paid 50k total in the 3rd dj fight and thats the biggest mma fight in ones history..LOL ,Ufc pays that much on bonuses..Honestly UFc gets too much hate ,u have no mma if ufc doesnt exist and thats fact ,literally no company has been able to last for long ,strikeforce ,pride ,dream, bellator all gone ..Only UFc is thriving and thats cox they are paying the fighters what they deserve and not what they want..Stop whining
One's rules are better but still not good enough. You can knee but can't headkick a grounded opponent + their mma in the ring is not a good idea in present times.
I'm not sure about the pay, maybe top dogs earn ok money, but you can't even compare it to ufc earrings.
no fighter is paid well in ONE..LOL ,moraes got paid 50k purse for the 3rd demetrious johnson fight and thats the biggest mma fight in their history..
@@GK_Imagimotion Headkicking a grounded opponent is much different then kneeing. That can literally mess someone up for life, its a still sport, not a fight to the death
@AbdulAli786o Are you serious? Even punching can f someone up for life.
Only in UFC not all MMA
Pinay
The 12-6 elbow rule is worse
Nah, this ones even worse because it blatantly favours grapplers as they aren't even needed to properly set up a takedown, they can just shoot from the outside, fail and then just get on their knees and not recieve any punishment because of that
On the feet if you fail you are punished, if you don't set up a punch or a kick properly you can either get counterpunched or taken down
But for this mfs they can just keep spamming takedowns and not worry about punishment if they just get on their knees, or even just touch the ground, people like Movsar Evloev and Aljamain Sterling wouldn't have half the success they have (Movsar would have lost against Arnold Allen and Aljamain would have never been champion or even managed to defend it, as their whole strategy relies upon the fact they cannot be punished if they fail a takedown)
For the 12-6 elbow, the only thing that does is give people another angle from which to attack, it doesn't completely change the dynamic of a fight in favour of a particular fighting style
No
@@thirtythreeyears why not bro
@@matierk637nice book you wrote
@@antonpoulsen7111 Indeed, it's what argumenting my points has, can't always make it short, but I prefer it that way, it's always better to give a well argumented opinion than just saying something without context, because even a child can do that
If this rule didn’t exist, Henry would’ve beat Sterling 100%, hell he wouldn’t even have been champ
*Wrestlers have left the chat*
Have fun doing a technical get up if a wrestler can knee you in the face. Some wrestlers abuse the current rules but it would help grapplers too
Wrestler actualy love knee on the ground bro
Making grounded knees legal would only make grapplers more effective
@@Jujitard69420yes and no, islam uses his knees to hold you down, if he was able to knee to the head then he wouldn’t be able to trap your arm, and fighters would get up much quicker, plus you realize it benefits strikers more because they have a chance to throw the knee as they sprawl where as wrestlers will have to get the takedown in order to get a knee off
Wrestlers profit most from strikes to the back of the head being illegal. If they were legal, single leg take downs would become much more difficult.
😂😂😂 almost every example was Aljo
Is why I prefer 1 champion
what the fuck does this mean?
@@copbutcher1312 1 champion mma. The Asian version of ufc...get on the ground like that and they will kick the living crap out of you
@@coreygardner1371 oh ur talkin about onefc...not 1 champion💀💀💀also i think soccer kicks are still illegal in one, its only knees to a grounded opponent which are legal
@@copbutcher1312it’s actually one championship, they haven’t been one fc for almost 10 years.
@@iamthagreatone4041 both are correct, theyre known as onefc and One Championship.
don’t hate the player, hate the game
although, Aljo hated the game in BJJ when his opponents started from their back but didn’t hate the game in UFC when he won the belt lol
He's quite an hypocrite for that ngl, I agree with him on that statement, but when he's used the equivalent of that strategy this guard pullers in BJJ do for MMA (the using a favorable position to minimize the risks taken) he can't really talk about it annoying him
Pulling guard is different than getting illegally kneed to the head and getting neck surgery for it
@@Goatbaggiemma there are risks in fight, if you aren't ready to face it , just don't fight
@@chaithanyagowda3130 Ik. But it’s not his fault it happened 💀 and what happened in the rematch?
@@chaithanyagowda3130he took the risk, and even after getting illegally striked he gave Yan the rematch and beat him
Watch ONE
I was just about to say the same💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼.
One is house of the martial arts.
They are very good to watch
Id rather watch flies fuck then watch a obscure one mma event..Kickboxing and muay thai is good..but mma?? LOL nah its ufc or nothing
Ufc used to be pretty much street fight simulator. The best fighters from their own respective martial arts (Which are effectively sports with their own rule sets), going at each other as if they saw each other on the street. Now MMA is its own sport with its own set of rules that people exploit.
I agree knees to grounded opponent's gead should be legal but 12-6 elbow rule is the worst.
True fighting has no rules. To fight and adhere to rules is absolute control of your aggression! Facts and respect!
Bring back Pride rules!
Should be allowed
You have less force jumping up as opposed to falling down. Simple physics.
Headbutts have entered the chat.
these aren't warriors. this isn't war. this is a game. it's basically children's point sparring but with different rules.
Pride rules with kicks and knees plus UFC elbows and 12-6 elbow. Just like ONE FC.
Rematch in the street back yard boxing
Apparently you can't even hit someone in the spine as per the unified rules.
It's weird because I and my friends hammer each others back just for fun.
Dude the safe areas are bigger than yall realize. Wrestling is so dominant because of it. Their faces are in dangerous areas all the time that would be illegal to take advantage of
Lol imagine in a street fight goin hey my hands are on the ground
Do you think pro fighter would follow the rules in a street fight?
Thats a bad comparison tho a street fight vs sport isn't the same technically there's no rules in a street fight you can use weapons it can be 5 on 1 u can hit after some1 is unconscious it may look bad but theres no DQ in a street fight.
I've always had this argument with others. It's nonsensical to the highest degree to *not allow* knees or kicks to a grounded opponent.
I the Elite fights in Pride having the rule-set allowing those attacks for a more pure fight. (Regardless of the outlawed elbows b/c the Japanese were weird about cuts & blood)
Jon Jones front knee kick n eye pokes need to be illegal taking someone's vision is just as bad as a nut shot in regards to be able to continue to fight afterwards
*Jon Jones at the beginning of the fight*
Agree 💯
I hate sterling
That's not healthy
If deliberately done, that fighter gives a point to escape that position if done twice it's the round 3 times over, surrender. Peace ✌️ 😎.
Adopt Lethwei striking rules and stop limiting the art of combat 👊🏽
This is why i say mma is a joke , ufc suits wrestlers more then anyone
Also all these wrestlers would have trouble too because you stuff and take down and they’re still in position you can meet him in the head lol.
Did One changed their rules when they made their event in the US?
I don't know how obvious this needs to be before they actually sack up and change the rules. One of the worst ideas imo is the notion that the rule set is perfect and locked in. The rules are not perfect imo. There does still need to be some changes and tweaks. Stop being weak and dumb, UFC/mma rule people! Whoever makes or decides the rules, we want knees and kicks to head of downed opponent. It's not complicated.
This rule was put in place by the Gracie’s when you look at one fc where this rule is used there is never gonna be a Bjj based world champ!
Makes ground fighting obsolete as with soccer kicks and 12 - 6 elbows and head butts!
I want to argue a little because you are right, but there is more to it. Folks lobbying on behalf of the corporate interest that owned the UFC(the Zuffa Brothers, I believe at the time), for complicated interests that were supporting to varying degrees primary stakeholders like Boxing that didn't want competition (John McCain and, "Human cock fighting")... I don't know-- I'm not an insider... I was just payingattention, but it seems like the gambling lobby really got the UFC out of Alabama Puerto Rico, and the Rez's.
I can say that I have read interviews of Dana White talking about what sounds like a gambling addiction that seemed to glorify it in what reads like an advertisement thereafter... maybe that's a coincidence, but if so-- what other lobby was it, because they had to get congressional support
@@TreyYork1 the boxing lobby prevented sanctioning in many states but t
Rorion Gracie very smartly implemented five rules to protect ground fighter! The side effect was Bjj success and Gracie schools everywhere
So glad sterling is not the champ anymore
Could you kick in that situation? Even if it's to a different part of the body?
My problem with him is he said he didn’t want to win the title that way but then celebrated his win. F’ing 🤡
UFC was started by grapplers (Gracies) to favour grapplers and still does to this day.
Does it ?
Starts on the feet, after every round you get a free get up.
Stopping someone kneeing to the head allows someone to get up against the cage much easier
@@skindred1888Control time being such a big factor helps grapplers a lot
@@EganCraft everyone is a grappler.
It's MMA.
Control time isn't nearly as good for scoring as it used to be.
@@skindred1888 I mean yea every UFC fighter is a competent grappler (to drastically varying degrees) but some people will abuse the control time scoring to just lay on top of their opponents without going for a submission
Not grapplers specifically. Just bjj practitioners. Knees to the head of a downed opponent would completely change the game for wrestlers.
Lets bring Pride rules to the UFC
Why are upkicks legal, but you cant headkick a downed opponent? Upkicks have resulted in vicious knockouts and the person who fought for the takedown can't return the favor
Dana make it happen
Aljamain the biggest fraud in mma pretending to get koed from an illegal shot he constantly put himself in position to take. Not only that but baiting other guys into it while fighting the safest, stall style of wrestling that even Jake Shields would find offensive lol
ANY rule that stipulates what kind of hit your allowed to do to a “downed” opponent is a bad one
Nah bro it’s a sport we not trying to kill each other even tho they are joe just wants to see a mad ring
ppl can go unconscious standing? but got forbid they go sleep on the ground
The entire sport is watching 2 men trying to kill each other
It's a sport and not combat. Rules in sport are all part of the entertainment.
Are you not entertained
its an arbitrary rule when you can do the exact some move when the fighter is standing, either ban all knees to the head or let them all be legal
Staying safe by doing nothing, and not engaging isn't entertainment, in a fight if you can't entertain the audience just leave
I watch the sport because I want people to do combat, not play by rules. If I wanted to watch people play a sport fighting each other, I’d watch boxing or judoka competitions.
@@beefofboyin another organisation, they allowed head kicks whilst grounded when the ref says it was okay...which...was obviously dumb as fuck 😂
Dunno how you could regulate it, but being on the ground for saying 5-10 seconds then allowing kicks/knees could be good.
Stops the obvious soccer kicks after they've been knocked down/knocked out, but potentially weeds out the gameplan of having their hand on the ground
