Shavkat rakhmonov beat Wonderboy who got beat by Belal not that long ago. They’re isn’t any justification for a rakhmonov fighting for a title. Colby already lost to the champion. Usman moved up in weight and his last 2 losses are in both weight divisions, can’t fight for a title coming off from a loss when you got fighters on a WINNING STREAK.

He will make the fight dirty, like he did with Burns and Brady. I as a Belal fan didn’t see clear paths to victory by striking with those two, but he used the mental aspect of the game (strategy and mental strength) to dominate both despite them having on paper better skills and talent.
GSP was never the best at anything, He was the GOAT at mixing it up though.
Belal and his team are pretty good at game planning, it’ll be an interesting match up

Belal practically won those fights against by out toughing(defending well, putting pace and pressure on them, taking the strikes they landed and walking through them, throwing high volume, basically being more active and aggressive the whole fight)Brady and Burns even though there really wasn’t a simple answer like against guys like Maia or wonderboy( make Maia strike, make wonderboy grapple). It’s easy to game plan and execute like that because there’s a huge margin for error but against guys with no major weaknesses for Belal to capitalize on, he has to make it a mental battle and he’s shown that before as well as Leon has shown the tendency to rely and lean his skillset and technical ability and get complacent during the course of the fight ( Diaz, Usman 2nd fight until the end) His coaches knew this, that’s why they said the famous tagline “don’t let him bully you” basically don’t let him dictate and do what he wants.

Edwards would have just continued to dominate, that would be the most likely outcome that night. And I remember Leon winning the first round in their rematch, so Usman didn’t really dominate anything until about round 3. And when they rematched a 3rd time under regular elevation levels, Usman got worked.

As much as I appreciate Usmans take. Leon has ascended almost like Charles ever since he has got the belt his confidence in his abilities have become apparent. Belal hasnt had tough fights of lately timing and luck of injury has played a huge role the biggest test will be for Belal.

I understand that belal offers a different wrestling style,however one thing you guys didn’t mention is that in Leon’s last 3 fights has been training for wrestlers so I feel he will have a more fresh understanding of his wrestling skills and defensive I do believe now is the wrong time to fight Leon because of this reason. I hear what they're both saying... but when Leon is on the ascendency, he's difficult to handle because you don't really know what he's going to do next and that's what makes him dangerous. With Belal, you kind of always know what to expect from him which makes him easier to prepare for, which is why he was able to handle himself against Covington.
To be fair Usman, Edwards was actively calling for a quick turnaround at UFC 300 and that didn't happen for some reason, so kinda goes against the theory that he didn't want to fight

Henry it's Belal not Leon who needs to make more adjustments. Leon just fought 2 heavy wrestlers/grapplers in 3 consecutive fights & came out on top. During those training camps & prep, his wrestling/grappling has gotten better both defensively & offensively. On the feet, Leon is the better striker & on the ground Leon is benefiting from fighting Belal right after Usman & Colby. Belal needs to make more adjustments & surprise Leon, with some unexpected things.
