How to Apply Kinesiology Tape for Breast and Chest Swelling and Lymphedema

- Chest swelling can be caused by Lymphedema after Breast Cancer Surgery. It can also be caused by hormones. Breast and Chest pain may also be present due to swelling after surgery or even with breastfeeding.
In this video, I show step-by-step how to apply kinesiology tape (also known as KT tape and Kinesio Tape) to the chest and breast for swelling, edema, pain, and lymphedema.
I show TWO different variations.
1. One for those who have had lymph nodes removed after cancer surgery
2. One for those who have a healthy lymphatic system.

Omg! It works! I’ve been in pain for what seems like forever since my reconstruction surgery. The pain is on the side with no treatment but I had a dmx. Anyway, I’ve tried everything including PT and the pain was endless. I put the tape on the left breast and it instantly stopped hurting! Thank you!

How soon after surgery can we/should we do this?
I'm curious where I would anchor the tape if I've had lymph nodes removed from both sides but swelling only on one breast.

I'm confused, do you place the tape away from the breast that is swollen? My left breast is swollen, so do I place the anchor at my right arm pit? I've wasted half a roll trying to understand.
Based on the way she’s talking about it and gesturing, I think she’s saying to put the anchor on the unaffected side and the strands go toward the swollen areas on the affected side. I imagine is as the strands are straws pulling liquid from the affected side and dropping it in a bucket (the large anchor point) on the unaffected side. Hope this helps!
Just to confirm- for my lymphedema in my right breast, do I place the Ktape from the right with the strips towards my left vs vice versus? Thanks 😊
