Jimin is the Black Swan! He is ethereal in this performance.
V wrote the song “blue and gray,” and the members liked it very much. They asked him to have the song be on BTS’s album and for all the members to sing it. It is truly a masterpiece
Like much of BE they all had songs that each contributed. "Blue and Grey" was primarily Tae's work but Suga also contributed. He had asked both RM and Suga for input and they each submitted ideas and Tae chose Suga's parts. RM kind of joked around about his not being picked but V loved a particular line Suga wrote so Suga was picked.
They are very cute talkng about it. I very much recommend watching where they all interview each other about the making of the album. In a video called "BE-hind Story" Interviews. I actually went through it several times because it got confusing at first... for example in one part talk about Telepathy being an idea from Namjoon... but then later Suga talking about writing it. The same happen with JK's "Stay" and JHope's Dis-ease.
But I really came to admire how they infuence each other's music in different ways at different times. V was so cute interviewing JHope about Dis-ease when he talks about JHope getting help from Jimin for the melody and Namjoon for the lyrics... and that if he needs help in the future to call him and even though he's busy he'll "stretch out his legs" and take the call to help. They are all so intertwined it is wonderful.

The members liked this song very much, and thanks to Taehyung because he agreed for everyone to sing it and have it on the album, and it was the best 💜 blue and gray that Taehyung wrote is really special ♥️

@bangtanniesIove7992 FACT and It is normal for the members to help each other and talk about songs together, but this will not change the fact that Taehyung wrote this beautiful song and the credit goes to him and it is in his name 💜 Blue and Gray by V 💜🤗🤗 It is the most successful song on Track B, and it is the best song on the album and one of BTS’s best songs 🥰🥰
I saw this performance twice, once in Las Angeles and again in Las Vegas. I am telling you it was phenomenal ,brilliant and breathtaking. I wouldn't trade the experience for anything. No one and I mean no one does a concert like BTS !!

I was there! I had incredible seats. The amazing part of watching Black Swan live is seeing them duck waking into place/around as not to be seen. Unbelievable! I was lucky to get some black "feathers" from the performance to bring home.
My daughter and I were blessed with seeing our first BTS concert in Las Vegas and FRONT ROW!! A BTS concert is like no other. None can compare.

Lucky you. The last time BTS had a concert in Brazil, I had never heard of them. I was a country girl, Blake Shelton fan. But my oldest son promised me that he is going to take me to a BTS concert in USA, Korea or Brazil. 56 years young Army. 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜

PTD in LA, day 3 was my first BTS concert. Had VIP souncgeck for map of the soul, Atlanta, which was canceled. Waited over 2years and flew 2 of my kids to LA from Florida. It was everything you think it would be. Seeing this performance and the Black Swan was just ...indescribable. I'm pretty sure I cried through most of the show just from the emotion of just being there. LOL. Salute to the stylist for these outfits. Love your reaction to this.
The harmonies in Blue and grey are ear candy. I love Hobie’s part, but all of them are JUST fantastic!
I told you. They take their hit songs and revamp them and rechoreograph them. The choreographed version you saw with Serena was different than this version. All the different versions are pure poetry with this song. It just lends itself to that. They performed this Live on a TV show. I forget which late night show it was. Also, they have a version filmed in a quaint church chapel. You Never get bored with BTS. I hope they do a revision for their comeback in 2025. We will all cry for sure. 😢

My daughter & I were fortunate to see this at the PTD last concert in Vegas. It was our 3rd BTS concert we attended. Not to mention Suga's solo concert last year. Being a single, recently divorced parent, and going from 2 income to 1, I had to save for these concerts & trips. However, it's truly worth it! I love the memories I have with my daughter & BTS.💜💜💜💜💜💜💜 We're (daughter & I) looking forward to BTS' return and their concert in 2025 or 2026.
Jin is currently in Paris for a special reason: BTS’ oldest member Jin has been chosen as the torchbearer for the 2024 Paris Olympics. According to the Paris 2024 Olympic Organizing Committee, Jin will appear as the first runner in the Louvre section of the torch relay in downtown Paris on Sunday, July 14th, 8.30PM CET/9.30PM CEST (Monday, July 15, 4.30AM KST). Blue and grey was the most successful b side by bts. A song V wrote due to feeling burned out. He wrote it for his mixtape but the others liked it and they asked to include it as a group song. He originally wrote it in English and had to convert it back to Korean for the group version. The rap line as usual wrote their own verses. It’s a shame that you didn’t have subtitled for such a moving song. The lyrics are a must.

Agree, it is a very emotional song born out of some very hard times Taehyung went through. He put all of that into creating this masterpiece and his 6 brothers were as supportive as ever. Blue and Grey is such a deep deep song. I suffered from depression since 2019 until last year that I can say I’ve been better, and this song never fails to make me cry and sob like a little girl. The lyrics are soooo touching and perfect and beautiful. “If one day you see me smile, it will mean that I did it” that message always hits me hard. I love this song, I love V and I love BTS! They are the best therapy ever 💜💜💜💜
I was able to see the performance in LA Day 3 and Las Vegas Days 1&2 and it was breathtaking every time watching from the top of the stadium or next to the stage. Their concerts are phenomenal & I hope all ARMY experience the purple ocean one day💜💜💜💜💜💜💜

PTD Las Vegas D1 was my first BTS concert. It was such an overwhelming wonderful experience. I didn't want it to end. I can't wait till they come back and tour.

PTD is an awesome concert after the pandemic. I saw them in PTD LA 1st and 2nd day. If I had more vacation days I would have saw them the full 4 days concert and their jingle ball performance too. 🤩 Same with PTD LV I saw them on the 1st and 2nd day. With BTS you have to watch their full concert shows coz each day is always like a new setlist always a new experience. 🥰 Thank you for your reaction I enjoy each and everyone of them. Discovered BTS in 2015 when I was sick but I was more into kdrama than kpop at that time. And became an official ARMY in 2016. I am a 54 year old single mom and a nurse from Mississippi. There's a close up video showing the transition of emotion in Tae's face from Blue and Grey to Black Swan. Man, the subtle change of his eyes and facial expression was everything. He's a great actor, I tell ya!
I couldn't listen to Blue and Grey w/o shedding tears. Tae wrote this song when he was having a deep depression back then. That's why the song speaks so much to our emotion, even when we don't understand the words fully.
Jimin is mesmerizing in live stages. He is called the STAGE COMMANDER, DANCE KING for a reason.
In addition to main dancer (JHope is the Dance Master) but Jimin is in charge of performance as in the small details that really sell things... such as how to hold their hands or make a turn; look; etc look better. He will often give tips on how to change something to look better if someone is center and doing something.
If JHope isn't available (Like when JHope had to be late to the Grammys) then Jimin filled in as dance master. JHope is just better at that as he has "the look" down pat. All of them look at JHope if they mess u

This performance was one of their firsts after pandemic, their idea during the recorded images " on the mirror" for Blue and Grey was kind of representing the time away from stage only getting in touch with Army through the screen, when they turn, finally watching Army live followed by the masterpiece transition to Black Swan💜

Find this channel...Enjoy BTS more. This woman has dedicated her channel to make sure there are English subtitles for most of BTS's songs. I didn't find this stage version of "Blue and Grey." But I did find the MTV performance of it. And yes. Look at the top of the video to find the CC box. And click on it for the English subtitles. So when others recommend a song and you can't find one with English subtitles. Check out her channel to see if she has one. She is a great resource. She does have the Live Performance of this "Black Swan" version. If you want to show it again for new Army that don't know this song. So you can do a redo of these 2 songs with English subtitles. You might consider doing that on your Live Stream. And watch "GoGo" the heart version with English subtitles. Again. At the top of the video click on the CC box.

Taehyung has an Angel which he talks to for help so when he sings, ‘Where’s my Angel, someone come and help me please,’ I feel he must have been feeling really lost thinking his angel had deserted him. They all found COVID very hard to cope with. They were living on their own by this time so felt very isolated as many people did. I wasn’t fortunate enough to watch one of the PTD concerts in a stadium but I did watch one live online and the transition from Blue and Grey to Black Swan gave me chills. The staging was amazing. The support dancers looked amazing in their wings and there was the sound of wings fluttering. It was very effective and Jin was stunning as the body of the swan.

V wrote Blue and Grey for his solo album, but decided it went well with BTS's album "Be." He wrote it when the world shut down during COVID. Actually, the whole BE album was written during that time.

This was the performance that got my Bestie. She was in Vegas with her daughter, not necessarily knowing much about BTS, and after Blue and Grey she was wrecked. And JK has been her bias from day one. They are powerful. She and I went to Los Angeles last month to the Festa party at the theater where Black Swan was filmed. It was surreal. 💜

1 - That one came out on the Be album...as others have stated, written by V. As soon the album dropped, we were all kicking ourselves. Back in 2020, when they filmed "In the SOOP", V can be heard randomly singing it. No one had a clue it was a new song then - let alone THEIR new song. With Tae's love for older music (English and Korean songs)...we just...didn't put two and two together fast enough. They are notorious for spoiling their own projects. Sometimes it's on purpose, sometimes by accident. A few months (maybe even a year?) before it dropped, they were playing around on the drums in a Bangtan Bomb and Hobi was playing the beat for his song "More" when he got a turn to take the drum sticks. They do stuff like that all the time. We know...but...we don't know, at least, not until an album drops. LOL
2 - Watching with no captions is proof that as long as you have an open mind, language is NOT a barrier. A good song is a good song! Though BTS does like to switch it up on us now and then. LOL That slow song that seems perfect for the "first song" for a wedding reception may be silly...the fast one you could picture jamming to in a club may have a powerful message. But, it doesn't matter in the grand scheme of things. A good song will have you feeling something.
Black Swan - you watched the choreography...with all of them barefoot. Both the MV and the live performances are always captivating. So good, yet so sad, it gets me every time.
2025 comeback world tour…around December. I really hope people/Army are ready to go to a venue closest to them. (From watching Suchwita, think they’re going to do a Bon Voyage Norway-watch the northern lights together, to strengthen their bond, chillax together before serious group activities.) I miss them so much, I miss them being together -just miss seeing their brotherly interactions and team work…

You are welcome =) When the duets are going on, JK and Jin grab their necks and Jimin and Tae reach out for each other. Tae did such a great job writing this. Its a song about Tae's depression and burn out. They did another Black Swan Jimmy Fallon performance also there was a Black Swan and Blue and Grey Music video.
Just a suggestion when you have no lyrics, find a lyric video to watch first, then the performance video...more impactful...love blue and grey...with black swan after, 😮😢so emotional.

I've joked that you know you're are a fully complete ARMY when you are watching any of the videos and don't even notice until halfway through that you don't have the subtitles on. Unfortunantly I couldn't really see the video here to see the reflections. I know you had to do it due to copyright but it's just not visible. If you are interested in a song try searching on BTS' CZcams channel Bangtan TV ... Those don't usually get hit. It will of course show up as a copyright but that it won't be blocked because BigHit is very generous and lets us do content.
