I was ARMY for a couple of years before I found out what the "El Mariachi" part was about. There's a 1992 film called that, in which the title character is a traveling musician, but gets mistaken for a crime lord who also dresses in black and carries his gun in a guitar case. So this poor guy just rolls into town to play some guitar, but suddenly everyone is shooting at him. BTS identify with that character - "We just wanted to make music, but people keep attacking us out of nowhere." Now, how these wonderful nerds knew about that semi-obscure movie? I'm not sure, but I love them. 😄

You need to check out J Hopes record breaking Lollapalooza concert and his mini behind the scenes documentary when he meets J Cole. He was worried not many would attend and it was the opposite. 100,000 ppl showed up and sold out a Sunday performance in record breaking time. 15 million watched live on Weverse and 4 million in the US watched on Hulu live. Many ppl that go to that concert fly back home on the Sunday so ARMY really showed up for him.
It was awesome! I especially loved the behind the scenes. It was the first time for one of them to do something so big all on their own. He didn't even have the logistical support of Bang Si Hyuk. PD Bang asked him ahead of time if he would be okay without him as he had other commitments then. But our JHope jumped (literally) in feet first. I was SOOOOO freaking proud of him. However, it was also the one time I think I ever saw him so mad when he got there, and the dancers didn't have it more together yet. But he put on that dance master hat and got them into shape! 💜 I really thought he was going to pass out from nerves for a bit... but Jimin got there to support him, and you could see him just relax all over. It was the sweetest thing.

Personally, I will eternally be grateful for Army showing up for JHope that day. At that time I hadn't become Army, hadn't fallen into the BTS universe yet. But his voice was the first I heard before I knew who BTS was. I just thought that he was a new metal singer breaking through (the song was "More"). Before I even realized it the piper had taken me & I was never so happy. He has been my bias from the moment I heard "More". I love all of them & it would never be BTS without all of the members. 💜

PD Bang came to support... but usually, he would have been deeply involved in all the planning as well... usually serving as the musical director... and this was the first time EVER that something major was happening with a BTS member that he didn't play a big part in. But once the hiatus fully started, he had committed to working on helping to develop some of Hybe's newer groups. He had faith in Hobi, though. Hobi is probably the most professional; by the book; member. He always has a plan. Right now, he has already developed a 6 month plan for when he gets out of the military. Where some struggle with deadlines... JHope is always the first to finish up his part of a project. I think it also gave Yoongi a lot of inspiration and courage in planning his tour.
Airplane Pt 2 is a continuation, of sorts, of JHope's single 'Airplane' from his Hope World mixtape. A great song. IMO, when V's in a playful mood, he tends to gravitate to JHope, who'll usually go along with whatever V wants to do. RM in a rare form of being the main source of chaos in the pool video.😂😂 You should watch again to see all the funny stuff he does in the background. If you ever get a chance to watch them do JHope's Chicken Noodle Soup single at BTS's Sowoozoo online concert, RM and Jimin are killin' it on performing Becky G's Spanish parts. Jimin rapping in Spanish was awesome. And Spanish speakers say RM's & Jimin's Spanish pronunciation was on point.

I was one of many ARMYs , who watch Jhope at lollapalooza on HULU, I signed up for HULU just to watch both Jhope and TXT at lollapalooza.
