Depends on how the contract is written up by the lawyers protecting the interests of the schools and whether it is reasonable and enforceable. I'm hoping students will be able to sue the schools that suspend them over such a tiny indiscretion, indeed if there even is one.
@theshadow5800 they're expressing nothing more than their own opinion on a divisive issue that has been around longer than most of us were born. There are many people, including other people on those campuses who don't agree with them. Maybe some people would prefer to not take any side and just live their lives. No matter how strongly you feel about something, it's still just your opinion. And no amount of self righteousness grants you the right to abandon all valid regulations of protest and do whatever you want.

Our university, colleges and schools leadership should recognize freedom of expression, freedom from oppressive systems, and freedom to challenge authority are exactly what we teach our students are the basic tenets of our representative democracy. Use of excessive force in form of private security forces, campus police, state troops, etc., against students is not a good look for our state and country!
