I am genuinely sorry for the people who seem fixated on trying to tear you down in the comments. Aside from this, thank you for sharing! It's a pretty rare opportunity to hear about someone's inner world this way.
I really appreciate this video. You rarely see videos on sociopaths and narcissists admitting that they are actually narcissistic so the fact that you openly accept and acknowledge your diagnosis is huge. Thank you for educating us on how you perceive things.
This was an extremely analytical, on-point and useful breakdown. I've never seen anyone self-analyse their ASPD this way and people (including mental health and psychiatry professionals) would gain much from viewing it. Amazing work.
I know someone who was diagnosed with this at 19, then showed no more sociopathic behaviors (criminality, impulsiveness, disregard for others) for decades and was eventually diagnosed with something else (major depression, PTSD). She's putting in the work and exhibiting self-awareness. These diagnoses are fluid in the young, have some grace.
I really appreciate these videos. I've known a couple sociopaths in my life, and have watched videos describing the condition, but there's nothing like hearing about what it's like, first hand, to help me understand the behaviour and mindset of those people I knew. Thank you.

Like in the sense it seems it’s often stated that the apathy and or mind numbing boredom of aspd is one of the most challenging aspects of it as it’s pretty much always present?.. So in that case, it seems often times someone struggling with that experience will eventually also struggle with impulse control specifically in regard to making an attempt (or feeling an urge) to break out of that feeling, even if only for a while. How do you handle this post getting help??
Do you *want* to feel more joy/happiness? Like is it something you feel is missing, or long to experience more of? Or does the apathy mean it doesn't matter to you exactly how you feel (as long as it's not particularly unpleasant)?
Is this numbness and low prosocial emotions the result of trauma? Since you have been able to bond with safe people e.g. fiance seems like a defensive response to feel apathetic or low care for others rather than pure low arousal antisocial traits. Those kinds never feel any bond with others and would never even when young have anxiety or shame
Probably. CPTSD has a chronic impact, if not treated since childhood years. I'm not a psychologist, but I do know people with CPTSD that could struggle within the same categories.
