- Been pretty impressed with these Speedpaints! probably stick with the Skin Tones kit for most projects, but a quick, diverse skin tone option for speed painting is pretty rad to have. Check them out at www.thearmypainter.com

They definitely look solid, I know painting human skin tones was always my biggest tripping point prior to contrast/speed paints
Same! ... I would usually just do a skin tone and wash with flesh wash ... This does it in one go which is nice! I can save the more advanced techniques for more key models 🙂
Underpaint with a coloured zenithal, then drybrush for ultimate results. You'll get ambient light from the zenithal but the squash/stretch hue variations of flesh.
The skin looks... Like a Bantha!
dark wood lol
Have you tried mixing any of the speedpaints to get a different skin tone? I just got my starter set and want a slightly darker shade of the Crusader Skin do you think adding in a tiny bit of Hardened Leather into it would have a good result?
I have not tried it myself, so I cannot attest to whether it will work at all, but it's certainly worth a try! I would try it on a spare part you prime the same way before putting it on your model just to make sure it looks how you want 🙂
Where can get those army painter speed paints ? Is there a specific primer for them or any primer is fine ?
They are currently on preorder over at the Army Painter webstore! I just used the regular Army Painter Matt White color primer so I think any primer would be fine!
