I just realized that rather than saying "Fantastic Voyage", Ethan says "Incredible Journey" - The 1961 Disney movie about two dogs and a cat making their way home 200 miles across the Canadian wilderness. I guess depending on the era Beast could be Tao the cat.
The thing im most impressed with about this book is thst the other writers managed to keep Waid from turning this into another of his terrible Kang stories.

@@Bizarrejoe I like to imagine that the whole story was typed on a single typewriter in a locked room at marvel, amd each writer got a half hour a day. The others would come in and have to spend most of there time whiting out and rewriting all of waids stuff. Then they all take turms sleeping in front of the door to make sure waid didnt break in and redo the whole thing with Kang.

Why'd you have to go on and remind me of yet another Marvel animated show that had a catchy theme, was actually good, and taken from us too soon (the first show being Spectacular Spider-Man)?
First the dumbest daredevil storyline and now this
I love how Ben just tries to end the show when they get to the "Seeing memories" part. It's just so stupid he can't continue.
Honestly, that made me hit my head on the nearest hard surface over how dumb that was.
Hulk has weird awareness of being in a comic book. In Fall of the Hulks, his powers were taken away, and he immediately planned on getting his powers back. People asked how and why he was going to get them back and he would just go, "I don't know, but every time I lose my powers I get them back shortly afterwards. So I'll probably have them back in a couple of months."
The part where Beast shrunk small enough to read Jarvis' mind, and Ben threw the book down and was ready to leave, I lost it. XD

Immortal Hulk brought me back, can't stop the back issues when on a good binge [until I have to leave for work of course]
Big Mood. Just finished Immortal Hulk, and realized that I really like Back Issues, particularly the episodes with plenty laughs to go around. I'm off today, and prepared myself into Binge Mode. Any suggestions for any really stand out episodes of Back Issues, or should I just work my way backwards?

Or i meant to get back to you and just forgot. my playlists should be viewable and i have one called Best Back Issues albiet they are VERY random and in no type of order. for older back issues i love what i call the Trilogy of Terrible: Zero Hour, Convergence, and Darkseid War. But man 2020 had some of the best back issues if you haven't kept up, Bendis' Superman / Man of Steel, Heroes in Crisis, DCeased, Dark Nights Metal, etc. All the star wars episodes are a must too. Hope this helps and if you didn't get into back then maybe this will help ya now. or not. to each their own and all that jazz. better to reply late than never at all ;-)

So it’s not mentioned but living lightings greatest moment is actually the biggest bluff ever because when the grandmaster asked him what cards he had that he was so confident in. And he responds “I don’t even play cards” and tosses them away.

You're talking about Bendis, continuity isn't exactly his forte. That being said I'll give him a pass on not using Toni Ho. She was created less than a year before Riri's first appearance and was heavily used in both New Avengers & U.S.Avengers which didn't allow for much wiggle room for her own side stuff as well. Lila Rhodes on the other hand... The young African American genius tech wizard who's the niece of James Rhodes could have and should have been used instead of Riri. They have the exact same character and physical traits only Lila has the benefit of already being established to both Rhodey and Tony and having a direct relationship to Tony's best friend who at the time just died. The story potential of them working out his death by building suits together writes itself then after building their relationship and Tony going into a coma that Stark AI mentor thing to take his place would have a lot more meaning to it.
....but nah Bendis be Bendis and had to recreate the character minus the potential.

All of y’alls summary of part 8 (red Wolf and Hawkeye) has me DYING😂 41:50 seriously it’s my favorite issue but y’all s commentary is so perfect “dude hawkeye you just helped red Wolf kill himself!” “Nah dude said it’s cool” “First the hulk now Red Wolf!?” “*thunk* oh falcon said he wanted to get shot” you guys got a sub from me!!!! I’m in the small minority that really enjoyed occupy strictly for Wolf and Hawkeye so seeing them (mainly Wolf) get such a big moment was awesome for me (even though it literally played out exactly as you guys said xD it’s great)

Hey, if he’s got the classic suit & is hanging out with Red Wolf, that’s better than getting erased from existence or having sex with Doombots (Avengers: Children’s Crusade). - Allegedly.

I absolutely loved this story, and I really enjoyed that it came out weekly. It turned me into a huge Jim Zub fan as well. His Champions run has had a very similar feel to this.

Hey Ben, I haven't finished the episode, but I didn't want to forget to comment. I wanted to say that as a person who's only been reading comics for five years or so and hasn't delved too deeply into the classic books, I totally thought I had somehow missed Valerie (Vector) and bought the fake retcon right away. The reveal didn't make me angry though; it was a genuine surprise that I enjoyed.

I was super iffy on this back when it was announced but I ended up enjoying it a ton, it got a bit tiring as it went on and on but at a certain point it clicked that that fatigue was shared by the characters in the story and so when the tables finally turned it was really satisfying
