Thx man! Buying my neighbors 95 GMC and it needs a water pump. Confident I can do it myself now.

Where you left the studs in the old pump. I left one of the water pump bolts in the old pump. Luckily after watching your video, I asked my son in law to bring the old pump back to me. I got the bolt out of the pump. I pulled another bolt out of my other blazer and put it in the bottom left but had a leak in that spot. It is the next morning and I am going to RTV the bolt that came out of that spot and put it back in to see if that fixes my leak. I will update for those reading the comments. I am wondering if this bolt is different from 2 of the other 4 as the top right bolt is different from all of the other bolts.

Also on taking the studs out of the water pump. I put the piece the fan bolts to in a bench vise. I put one of the nuts on upside down, ran it on about 3/4 of an inch. I ran another nut on correctly until they hit against one another. I put a wrench on the one closest to the pump, held it so it would not turn, took a socket and tightened the outside nut against it. I then loosened the stud by turning the nut closest to the pump counter clockwise. Once it was loosened I used the socket and wrench to break the two nuts loose and repeated on the remaining 3 studs. I took out two studs, rotated the plate in the vise and took out the remaining two studs and put them in the new pump.

Re: Torquing the water pump bolts. Is that *click* the torque wrench or your elderly elbow?
