I met 3 lads on Samui. They were builders. They saved money on the fly from their wifes. Said they were building a house for a mate who stayed there. He did not trust the local builders. Bought hard hats and yellow vests and took photos at a house getting built. The best part is they took money home to their wifes. They never laid a brick but had a good time.
its all gonna come out in the end sadly, women talk to each other and they will reach the info of what pattaya is about

great yarn Phil, super vlog. I was fortunate my work took me around the world and every year I'd have a trade show in Hong Kong, Las Vegas, Dubai, which are fun places. Only made it to Bangkok three times but then I did have to do some business. Also did a trade show at the NEC so Birmingham can be a fun place as well.

was good to see you again last week even though you were a little busy so no time to chat, i had a great time playing pool with Aee who is as sweet as a nut and my favourite lady in LePub, i have often seen a combo of your stories here, people going to play golf with 7 shirts and a photo with fresh shirt for the first 7 holes......one day on the course, seven days on the lash!!

I've been married 37 years to my Japanese wife and she knows full well when I go to Pattaya and what I get upto in Pattaya. We just don't talk about it,. We have a "don't ask don't tel"l policy about my trips. Means I do not need to invest in a set of golf clubs or pay airport storage fees
That seems like a great situation you have there. Do you worry about her having friends as well?

Yes, I was listening to the playback on that and I was shouting that at myself. Sometimes when you’re in a live situation, you say stupid things and that was definitely one of them.
I bloke I know, a friend of a friend, used to work away at various site around the UK for a major aeronautical company, so for many years took advantage of that by having 2 week holidays in Pattaya. Nearly got caught out when the Icelandic volcano blew up in 2011 but managed to get away with it at work and with the wife.

I know one story that involved a trip to the world cup in Japan and South Korea but was again in Pattaya, it didn't end well...
My mate flaky went to that.
My 1st trip to Thailand was in 2003 and I've made a total of 7 trips from then to now. Never lied about it at all! In fact, I moved here in June '23 and anyone who's anybody knows it!

I tell them i am out in Pattaya for the clubs and taking the girls home for money is deamining and beneath me combined with pictures of northern Thailand which i do actually enjoy as well

Early 2000s, I tried tearing out some passport pages once, and another time made up a story I was going to Thailand on a 'business trip' (because I didn't want to order another replacement passport!). Too bad I didn't think of any good details for the 'business' that went on there, because my girlfriend at the time never did believe that one.

Mate of mine told his wife he was going on a cycling tour for a week with a bike club. Off he went, about halfway through the trip his wife went into the shed and noticed his bike was in there! His wife rang around to find out none of the other cycling club members were away!!

Thank Buddha I only go to Thailand for the culture and erhmm a tiny world class beach destination formerly inside Bang Lamung 😇. Plenty of photo opportunities in and around the city of normal touristy stuff that most people back home wouldn't know is in Pattaya, as long as you don't show pictures from bars, bar sois, your hotel room at night or signs and logos that says Pattaya.

The problem is as soon as you mention Thailand 🇹🇭. People start thinking of red light districts and bar girls. And people look down on you. Sometimes it’s just easier to lie and say you going to Malaysia or Singapore or something instead. As you just can’t be bothered educating people that there’s more to Thailand than red light districts and bar girls.
That’s all I come for !!!

It's not on wrong,it's just a different make to the other tyre

Everybody’s life situation is different. For some people it’s not a good idea to reveal where they’re going on holiday and will only cause grief and tension.
