The thing either the 2011 prequel or the john carpenter 1998 one
Jason x would be a good one to review its jason voorhees in space!!!
Gremlins 2: The New Batch. It’s really gotten a cult following in the past decade and it’s become one of my personal favorite movies. It’s really strange and divisive amongst people and I think it would be a great watch.
Steven .B old vs new of the thing would be interesting to see too
The Mummy Returns (2001) and the original with Boris Karloff
Let's be honest. Paul Giamatti would play Doug Walker in a film.
Black Hooded Ninja god your right is that is scary

Yes...?!
MastermindEpsilon Who is Doug Walker?
Al Gordo The critics real name
The Nostalgia Critic, his real name is Doug Walker when he's out of character.

None of them fatal though. Even when he's thrown from a helicopter, a professional is making sure he doesn't get seriously injured
You know a movie is good when the Nostalgia Critic doesn't actually criticize any of it and has to seek out stuff to mock
Or because this series is under "entertainment"
Maybe he should do the sequel. Plenty to work with there
Well, it's more of a remake. It's called "Bigger Fatter Liar"
Well alot of the thıngs he dıd poınt out dıdn't make the movıe less enjoyable, ıf anythıng they made ıt more enjoyable! :)

Write a fictional story?....That's something I've wanted to be assigned all through my school's english classes. I like writing fantasy and horror.
Don't know if you're still in school but 11th and 12th grade usually offer creative writing as an elective. If they dont at your school talk to the admin. I'm sure you could get one set up
Darek Baird Amen to that. It’s all research papers. And analysis of a text. I think I’ve only ever written fictional stories on standardized tests.
I like writing stories too! In-fact I'm doing some right now, when I get a chance.
@@robk5488 Been done for a bit now my man but thank you all the same.

This movie has a strangely good cast.
And when you mean strangely good, you mean it...
Just as goofy as I remembered. Ahh the good old days.
Just like Rapsittie Street Kids
And Paul Giamatti creates a strangely good villain
This movie makes me want to go to UNIVERSAL STUDIOS .
I legitimately had forgotten about this movie's existence, yet I remembered everything that happened as soon as I saw a blue Paul Giamatti

Gotta give the movie credit, creating a full movie and modern telling of The Boy Who Cried Wolf is pretty impressive. Even if the movie over all is just... okay.
Wait, really? Oh, that actually explains a lot.
@@charlirenner193 i didn’t catch that till I was like 19 lmao but I’m only 21 now so idk if that’s good on their writing or terrible for my media literacy lmao
At 7:19 , As an adult I get a chuckle out of how wholesome it is when the grandma meets the bully pretending to be her granddaughter. I like to think the grandma knew all along, but didn’t mind and just went along with it because he was pretty nice to her and she probably enjoyed his company
The fact he’s willingly hanging out with her still even after the ruse is over is honestly pretty sweet
Plot for the Chicken Cop movie: Jaleel White's partner was murdered at meth drug bust in a barn. His soul was transferred into a chicken. Now, it's up to Jaleel White and his new chicken buddy to solve the murder and uncover who is behind the massive meth dealing ring... It's a Family Picture!
That....actually makes sense.
I want this now!!
Can we have this ?
It'd be like Fluke... except as a buddy/cop movie.
It could be called a Coop.
"I'll be the judge of what you fondly remember" yeah that's the nostalgia critic in a nutshell
at least he's owning it now
Kyosukedono- I doubt you’ll ever see Nostalgia Critic walking around anywhere else but conventions. Otherwise, the person who you would see walking around is Doug Walker, who is a complete 180 of Critic and very nice and genuine human being. People tend to confuse the two very easily, so don’t sweat it.
Kyosukedono Relax, it is just a role he plays.
theres a difference between a character and himself

I think the plot for the cop n chicken movie goes something like this:
a chicken runs away from a farm, he eventually makes it to the big city and get's into the police office, he gets partnered up with a random dude and they have to bust some chicken nugget dealers. spoilers!: the chicken makes a delicious sacrifice
I’d watch that
Mmmm

This definitely gives me "Chicken boo: The Origin Story" vibes
Wait, a movie from the 2000s where the main guy and main girl DON'T hook up?! Jesus I had no idea those things could happen in movies at that time!
That's becuase they were already hooked up
@@keybladelovers weren't they just really good friends, like Brothers and sisters
guess 66 your actually right they are just good friends i looked it up on Wikipedia and imdb. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Big_Fat_Liar
What if a movie at that time had a brother-sister team as the main stars? In Spy Kids, it would be weird for Carmen and Juni to hook up.
Sean Wheeler True but the characters in this movie aren’t brother and sister right? Normally if you have two people of opposite genders in a movie who aren’t related Hollywood can’t resist having them hook up despite the fact 99% of the time it’s really unnecessary and the couple in question have little to no chemistry. To find a good example of how wrong this can go I’d recommend watching Valerian and the city of a thousand planets. Actually scratch that I don’t recommend watching that film cos it’s fucking terrible.
"... but I have your skateboard".
Nucular Can't argue with that.
I just found out this movie had Dan Schneider as one of the writers.

The Urkel/chicken cop movie needs to happen. Lets start a crowd fund for it
Can it be a prequel to the spaceship sketch of SNL ?

Well he really does hate the role. Even told people that if they seem him doing it again, put a bullet in his head.
Napalm Blaziken I know and that's sad part about it. The fact that Steve Urkel saved Family Matters from getting cancel in the beginning of first season but I think the show should have ended at season 5 and let the actors move on with their careers .

I laughed when I saw comments about the music at the start of this movie. At this time, every damn movie had a song in it that sounded like goddamned Smashmouth or actually HAD a Smashmouth song in it for some reason. That band made ALL their money through movie licensing, I think.
5:54 "It's got, er... tan lines?" Man that was a blast from the past!
Music in the 2000's was bad? Have you heard music from the 2010's? It's diabolical.
I agree completely. Granted, 2000s music really wasn't anything to write home about (the early 00s were okay, but the mid-late 2000s were mediocre at best), but the 2010s are a fucking disaster of a decade. It's honestly hard to find anything good about the 2010s. Movies, T.V. shows, mainstream music, fashion, and society in general just sucks in this decade. I guess the one good thing is that it's easier to find underground bands with the internet. But that's pretty much it.
They make music these days? I thought it was just people droning in the same monotone synced to nearly identical computer-generated tracts.
Are you kidding me? The 2000s was mostly NuMetal trash and other garbage. Terrible and almost no redeeming quality. Music in the 2010s isn't great but it's a fuckton better than the stale '90s-leftovers of the 2000s.
The 2010s have been better than the 2000s in every way. The early-mid 2000s are honestly embarrassing in retrospect outside of cartoons. This was a time when Austin Powers was considered the height of good comedy. CRINGE. There were good movies like LoTR but....it was mostly a deadzone, until superhero movies started getting pretty awesome with 'The Dark Knight Rises'. God that decade sucked. So. Hard. The 2010s has at least seen a revival of aviators.
Mainstream music has sucked for years. There is still good music coming out it’s just not on the radio.
@@ionbing2884 Absolutely fucking this. I even wrote a piece on how shitty the 2000s was for music recently (because I was bored).
"Oh, God, I just have to say this: music in the 2000s abysmal, not just because of mainstream music diminishing in quality from the 90s, but because it was an absolutely disgusting amalgamation of every single music stereotype of the 80s-90s. For instance, rap music became an ironic caricature of every gangsta hip hop trope of the 90s. MCs attempted to encapsulate the intensity of artists like Biggie, 'Pac and Wu Tang, but ended up conveying themselves as autistic ruffians with the sole purpose of degrading all progress African Americans worked so desperately hard to create since the end of slavery into oblivion. And the idiocy manifested even further when nearly everyone in the early '00s caught on with this behavior. Besides the more obvious offender (nu metal, I'll talk about that later), it seemed like every celebrity, in an attempt to stay hip and "with the times," clung onto that rope of being an urban street thug; they mastered the dialect of slang as it were their own native tongue. This was evident in MTV the most, when shows like Pimp My Ride, TRL and the VMAs perfectly showed how celebrities engaged in that lifestyle of hard drugs, partying and pretending to act in a superior manner to other celebrities. Even the rockstars of that time seemed milquetoast compared to the abundant drama between pop celebrities during that period. Speaking of which, rock music fell into the trap of self-lampooning their predecessors. Let's say that after Cobain's death, the destiny of rock basically split into three paths, each retaining and combining elements of their pioneers with traditional and trendy pop music. The first path spawned directly as a consequence of Cobain's death, named the dreaded post-grunge genre. Bands like Nickelback, Creed, Puddle of Mudd liberated elements of the big 4 of grunge (Nirvana, Soundgarden, Pearl Jam, and Alice in Chains) with a commercially mainstream sound, eschewing the raw, lo-fi atmosphere that made the original grunge movement so unique. Of course, it became popular amongst the casual music listeners, due to its predictable instrumentation of clean, yet pseudo-distorted guitars, forming catchy, yet depth-less pop melodies. Secondly, pop punk managed to coincide with post-grunge music in mainstream rock. The typical mallcore, prurient audience quickly related with its transgressive, angsty lyrics meshed into simple 3 power-chord melodies and such. Hot Topic exacerbated the culture; soon, teens dressed up in grungy/messed up apparel when their favorite boxers were too dirty to sag with. And finally, Nu Metal… do I really need to elaborate on this? Even indie rock perished in its own stereotypes. While it objectively accumulated almost every outstanding album of the '00s, the general public could not have tarnished its reputation any further. Remember when in TV shows or movies, innocent Modest Mouse, Arcade Fire or Radiohead fans received wedgies and swirlies from bravado jocks? Or how about in the stall nearby, where a pale, yet darkly dressed person spurted geysers from his wrists every day, while tears formed puddles into the ground? I think you get my point now, but music became so inside the box in the 2000s, it felt like an infinite prison of torture.
Also, to add, music cliques spawned more than ever AND became more ferocious than ever. In the Rock and Metal realm, if you didn't enjoy the “badassery” of crunchy guitars, or made music that wasn't as heavy as can be, you were shunned as a typical pop fanboy and were criticized for not making real music. On the other hand, if you weren't particularly fond of the overtly optimistic melodies or danceable beats of Pop, R&B and Hip Hop, and felt the people who made or enjoyed such music lived a vapid lifestyle, they would scrutinize you as a freak or hipster, and tell you promptly to listen to your screamo-goth music or whatever genre they made up that they were entirely ignorant of. It was a conflict between the abrasive manliness and edginess of Rock/Metal/ (and the pretentious drivel of Indie/Alternative/Emo) versus the urban, overly sexualized and glamorous Pop/Rap/R&B music. Anyone who didn't fit the mold of any of these were ostracized without question. They couldn't find a balance between such differing cliques, and when they clashed, it either became a perplexing mess or a catastrophe of stupidity.
1:50-2:03 , did Doug just literally insult Smash Mouth !!!
I'm pretty sure he's mentioned before he's not exactly fond of Smash Mouth

@SuperGoldstar127 I respectfully disagree
It’s a real shame what happened to Frankie Muniz. And Amanda Bynes too
1:55 That’s “Come On, Come On” by Smash Mouth
Fun fact: the scene at 2:15 actually makes sense since my old HS used to do the same, when the bell rings they locked every door to the outside (with a guard standing there to do it at first until they upgraded to electric locks that did it automatically) for reasons of “to stop anyone from just entering the school and causing trouble” but everyone knew they did it so they could effectively get the kids coming in late since the only door unlocked was the one that leads directly to the main office where a student was usually handed a detention slip and had to signed themselves in.

Blue was playing in the background in the car-taunting scene.
+The Buttonmasher I actually didn't know that to start with. But when I found the song online, I finally realized the joke behind that scene! Also, I often wondered why it sounded better in the movie than on it's own, but maybe that's because they increased the pitch for some reason. Just like what Johnny English did with 'A Man For All Seasons' by Robbie Williams.
"I'll be the judge of what you remember fondly."

I like this film a lot, but NO ONE wanted to see Paul Giamatti in a speedo. Eeeewww...
But that bully who was roped into posing as the girl is Taran Killem from SNL. And Kenan Thompson also makes an appearance...
I remember him more as that pop star, Jordan Cahill, from the Disney Channel movie "Stuck in the Suburbs".
@@rushmaverick1923 If you can believe it, he was on "MAD TV" briefly before SNL...
LaDracul - Wow! I did not know that.
He is also married to Colby Smaulders(Robin) from HIMYM
Monkiki do the sloppy swish...
Review the princess bride. I know it’s a super good movie, but it’s nostalgic and a lot of good jokes to make. Make it happen. Love your work.

It's named exactly what it should be named: Bigger Fatter Liar.
We need to start a Kickstarter for a 3rd movie, Biggest Fattest Liar.

I remember watching this movie all the time as a kid. When I was ten I finally saw Family Matters for the first time and the Urkel joke finally made sense.
Taran Killam was in Big Fat Liar huh the more you know lol.
Thank you, I thought I was the only one who noticed!
