Nice video I went to a school in Dorset and would have loved it if they had some older films of it as well. There was no CZcams in 1989 so no one could upload any videos that would be of interest to people in the present day
Was there in eerly 1970s till 1976. Amberley house. Was at Andrew Cairnes before it became a comprehensive. Maude Allen girls across field. Live Timberleys. Great school, used to hang out in the outdoor theatre pit at break times. Anyone from those times??
all of my family came here my dad was here from 1981 till 1986 my auntie was here from 1983 till 1988 my uncle was here from 1987 till 1992 and my brother was here from 2014 till 2019 my dad got in to a lot of fights here lol

I had spent 4 years in that school from year 7 to 10, and am now spending year 11 in the new TLA school, it's sad to see this, as at the moment, the old school (the one in this vid) is currently being knocked down! But hopefully, in 20 years time, people will watch the vids of the new school, and wonder about how much ot has changed! So... Fingers crossed for class 2033!
Hi Drew, remember them all. I was in Amberley 1971/2 till 1976, lived on Timberleys. Great times. Used to hang out in the outside tgeatre area at breaks, loadzz green spaces as well. Was at Andrew Caines boys first. Girls was Masude Allen. Then they had a competition for the new school tie was an LS entined on a green tie... Fab days😊
Wow, Hi Drew, didnt think would get a reply or would have to wait a while. Have been looking up some youtube video on the areas around, such fab memories, am 63 now, international pastry chef and senior lecturer, moved around quite a lot for career. However, school did a great job, even though left with few CSE quals. Went to Worthing College chef traing then London etc. Have been back down a few times to area, yes times change but memories are there... How aboit you, are ex LS and from area...

Went to Uni in Brighton after LS and moved around Sussex and South East during my working life in the Police. Now live in East Sussex Weald but some family live locally to Little dick :) It was sad to see the school had gone when I was down that way last summer :(
Hi Drew. Yes, have just seen a video of Maude Allen empty saying it was going to be demolished. Did they do that to upper school as well and then complrtly rebuild for TLA wow youve stayed in area mostly then.. ive kept in touch with one school friend due to her working with my parents years ago. Beverly Gravesham now. My bedt mate was Nigel Chatfield, killed in a car crash and a guy called Martin ?? I remember a Mr John Richards teaching science and Mr Etherington deputy head telling great stories at asembly. Are you still in touch with anyone or remember anyone..
I had this idea for a film a bout a guy who is desperate for a pee and has runs through the school trying to find a place to go but keeps getting held up! I think it is fun that where the boys toilets used be is now the hill road reception office!
this is exactly as i remember it - wish you had gone in the 6th form - many hours hanging around there waiting for older boys to come out !!! lol

Yes it has! It changed quite a lot during the 80's too!
