No one needs dating tips. Being single is the better option in this day and age. Today's romantic relationships fail to meet a cost benefit analysis because many millennials have unrealistic expectations for relationships which they wouldn't even be willing to compromise for if push came to shove; most current 'relationships' will inevitably result in wasted money and broken hearts. This is a lesson that I have learned from witnessing so many of my once confident friends being rendered into mere shells of their former selves. I've been single for my entire life by choice and thus, have avoided similar consequences.

To answer your questions, I ended up on this site because these videos keep getting recommended to me (I don't know why) and I am not unhappy with myself or unable to offer anything to a date. I just don't think that it is worth it anymore.

I do live in the US and you are correct in that many people do not value relationships and they glorify money. However, this is not an inherently American quality, as many people from westernized countries are more likely to value affluence over romantic relationships because they simply aren't needed. I am also put off by exactly what you said about the greed among so many people in the dating scene. Even though women are now in the workforce and have equal opportunities (and tremendous favor in the court system) due to the advent of feminism, they do not want to lose the benefits of being women, which include male chivalry and free dinners among other things. For many men in the US, the rewards of dating have decreased but the responsibilities remain the same. At any moment, a woman can decide that an encounter with a man was ''assault' and then the innocent man will be treated as guilty until proven innocent. If you've ever noticed that American men are becoming less and less interested in romantic relationships, its because many of the benefits of such relationships have been taken away from them. I would rather be single than be treated as a disposable utility in a gynocentric world. There isn't really a point in me trying to describe all of this because it will likely fall on deaf ears. However, now that birth rates in the western world are decreasing from lack of incentives to start families and more children are growing up in broken, single-parent households, people are just beginning to realize that men need more reasons to form committed relationships. Women are supposed to work with men, not compete against them.

I know these comments are playful but please be respectful to Matthew as sometimes they are little creepy bordering on harassment (talk with your clothes off?). If genders were switched, your comments would have been flagged for sure. At the end of the day he's a professional giving dating advice, not some bloke trying to land a date with you ladies. Please show him some respect.

You're right, but I don't think people are being very serious. They're jokes.
That's not a good way to justify sexually charged comments/compliments as they can still be unwanted from either men or women. Making open observations on how sexually attractive you find someone you don't even know whether 'serious' or a 'joke' (I doubt they're joking about finding Matthew hot) is basically the cat-calling and wolf-whistling of the text world (which a lot of guys do BECAUSE they think it's funny and like to impress their friends and is less about impressing the girl because let's admit it, NO girl is impressed by that stuff). That's what becks56 is getting at. If we say it's funny and cute when girls say this stuff about guys then how do you say it can't be the other way around. Respect should be universal in the way we talk to and treat each other. If he was your brother certain comments here would get your protective side up I bet!
