    the same happened to me but I had no warning lights at all. no low oil pressure or no stop engine light. it just started by making a real loud noise. so I shut it down. my engine gave out. it had 1400345 miles.

    These new trucks are shit with all the sensors on it you would think it has a sensor that would shut it off if the oil pressure gets low.

    I had one do that but no check engine light came on. Just truck shutdown and it was locked

    I had my engine rebuilt 8 months ago is replaced my enjectors 3 days ago and this happened to me today is that possible

    Buen video brother yo tuve un cascadia con DD15 a hora tengo un Cummins cuando tenia el DD15 me gusta preguntar y hablar con los mecánicos pedir consejos que opinan del eso motores todos decían lo mismo eso motores se amarran a hora que te esta corriendo déjalo ir en ese tiempo tenia 931,000 milla ...la verdad con este Cummins llego ala yarda apago y para mi casa no meda problemas tiene fuerza con el otro DD15 me quitaba todo el tiempo que le dedico a hora a mi familia todas la semana o era un check engine light ...a hora con eso motores te vuelve casi Mecanico por que es la única manera de poner dinero extra en el bolsillo ...yo mismo cambié muchas piezas gracias amaya tengo el DDDL software de Detroit y esa era la única manera de poner diagnósticar yo no digo que son malos pero de mi parte no compró otro DD15

    Had my truck rebuilt drove it 200mls shut down only to realise it has no oil was full when I picked it topped off like 5gallons and took back to mechanic,only 700k mls

    Dd15 made to be broken quick after warranty end , oil suction made from cheap plastic , there are companies can make custom oil suction from aluminum

    I heard of people installing a pre oiler pump system on their truck so they have good oil pressure before the engine starts. If someone installs one of those on their trucks and sets a controller to instantly turn it on when the oil pressure drops that could save their engine.

      Sounds like a legit idea. Today I started my dd15 with 740k and noticed that oil pressure was at 0 for like 2 seconds and then jumped up to 50 with 36f outside. That thing kinda creeped me out.

      @@cryptochannel5754 As long as the engine didn’t sound like it was missing oil pressure you’re fine. That’s either the sensor starting to fail or the computer took a second to remember it has a job to do.

      Of course after 500k or after warranty miles , German makers like Mercedes or BMW or Audi the mean goal for them is making money from parts or sell new vehicles , DD15 is junk engine

    Its not good to let diesel engines run at idle at 600 rpm, is always good to put the fast idle at 900 rpm or above, engine gets more lubrication.

    Hear that alarm, that's low air pressure. My Cascadia only gives that audible alarm for low air pressure, there is no audible alarm for engine shutdown. Only a red light on the dash which the driver will not notice until they scan the dashboard. Which should be about every 30 seconds. Then you have to get the truck off the highway. So three minutes of active low oil pressure is not a surprise. I wouldn't put so much of the blame on the driver.

      Especially in California where the trucks drive slow and there usually isn’t a shoulder to safely stop. Francisco is a very good mechanic but he hasn’t driven a truck very much.

      Isn’t the low oil pressure giving the dashboard red stop engine light? If it does then those make the same noise as low air pressure. Might be wrong.

      @@cryptochannel5754 On these older Cascadias both of the check engine lights and the oil pressure and fuel level doesn’t make any noise. Only the air pressure and coolant gauge. I’m not sure about the rest but I doubt they make noise.
