But writers aren’t necessarily forced to follow them. And often times they don’t, because usually, the enjoyment of comics come from the story, not so much the professional power scaling.
It’s just an unnecessary amount of detail.

You just can’t really argue with it, except if Superman’s authors would argue against it. I mean they could just say that the whole verse is just generally stronger. For example if even normal humans in this verse were as strong as Captain America. It just doesn’t seem like it since physics work different and everything is much heavier and more durable. I think if Kirkman says Mark is stronger. He should've actually displayed that when telling the story. Him just saying so isn't enough. He can say Mark is stronger... cool, Superman's writers can say Supes is stronger... Now what? We go by what's written and established. Mark has 0 feats that can take on prime Supes.
Couldn't have said it better myself. There's a reason why fans who debate this kind of stuff don't take word of god seriously unless they've worked on both characters AND what they're saying doesn't contradict what happens in the actual story they created.
But the thing is, none of superman’s writers has said anything. Therefore, right now invincible beats superman. Not yellow suit, kirkman has said this, but he said blue suit beats him. So right now, blue suits wins in a 1 on 1.

No version of Invincible has destroyed entire solar systems by sneezing, contributed to 1/5th of the energy required to make a universe 1e+63 times larger then out own observable universe, dragged an entire galaxies worth of planets to the edge of the universe, produce 10 billion decibels of sound by screaming (Enough energy to destroy the observable universe 1e+999999890 times over), or shake the infinite-sized Phantom Zone with shockwaves from his punches during his fight with Zod. The best feats you could scale Invincible to would be Omnipotus off-screening a universe and MAYBE scaling Mark to Suprema lifting the observable universe via that one time Omni-Man fought Mean Supreme in a crossover comic. But even those feats are orders of magnitude weaker then anything the mainline comic Supes has done. Oh, and keep in mind all of these feats are just BASE SUPERMAN. I didn't even bring up any feats he did when he sundips, like him punching the World Forager, for instance. I do agree that Invincible could probably beat a lot of versions of Superman like his various animated versions or some of the live-action versions, but I'm sorry, anyone who unironically thinks Omni-Man or Mark wouldn't get washed in a femtosecond by the mainline comics Supes JUST because Rob said so (And even then, I doubt he was actually being serious about it) ... We only see him at his worst mainly because Batman is the protagonist.
