If Henry wins then he probably walks away again which has to be why Dana doesn't want him to come back. If Henry loses then it was a waste of one of Volkanovski's contracted fights. Only the top few boxers make more than the UFC. Is Francis really planning on a title fight for his first boxing match? As a champion, he gets 18% of PPV money now. That isn't $500k, that's millions. He's getting the casuals to agree and say "yea he's the champ he should make more than $500k" but any real fan knows that champions make millions. But Francis is going to convince casuals, but lose his job making millions so he can go box. The average boxing match pays less than $2,000. Only the top few champs make big money, and he's not a top boxer, much less a champion. Let him go box and find out how it really works.

I have to agree with the point Francis made about him not being treated as a “champion”. The reason I think that is the UFC was trying to book him with Derrick Lewis right after he won the belt and didn’t want to reschedule when Francis said he wasn’t ready. Instead, they decided to book an interim title to add insult to the injury basically. This is just my opinion but it’s not like Francis was avoiding a fight at the time, it was more so the timing being inconvenient for him when he just returned from his homeland.

One of the youngest, most exciting fighters in the UFC- made a b line for the championship and took it from one of the all time greats in a stunning fashion. I think those fights with a EPOd up dillashaw really took something from him psychologically, and then the physical damage compounded his decline. Too much throwing caution to the wind, too many times he made fights personal. Hope to him come back to 135 and get in the right frame of mind, he's still very young- id love to see a fight down the line with O'Malley if he can get back up in the rankings. 125 mitigates the speed advantage he had at 135- everyone is fast af at 125.
