To a degree, I feel like it’s “damned if you do, damned if you don’t” for refs. Everybody’s always saying early or late. I do think that Bobby’s stoppage was late, but if he popped back up immediately after, people would’ve called it late
Dana will make Leon clear his division and if Ian wins he will at least have to settle that recent beef before moving up but I can see Dana dangling that carrot and still not ever letting him attempt double champ status. This Nina and Sean thing is just the best GTA story ever

Contrary to popular belief and recency bias, Gilbert is a BJJ fighter, not a striker. Maybe you didnt know, now you do. Leon is a wrestler too, he just has world class striking and power, something Colby lacks. After eating all those shots from Usman you really think Colby has a chance on the feet? After stuffing so many of Kamaru takedowns and taking down Kamaru who had a 100% defense rate for most of his career, you can forget that aspect of Colby's game. The only thing Colby can do is pray that Leon is out of shape.

What is funny is that people are complaining about greens late stoppage. But EVERYTIME a ref stops a fight they complain it's to early. This is why it's better to stop it a little earlier. Like everyone was complaining that jiri was stopped to soon. When jiri himself said he was knocked out.

Leon shouldn’t get the double champ opportunity, gotta stop normalizing just switching weights and becoming double champ it should be for the greatest fighters of all time, clean out your division, exciting or not. If you want to switch divisions then do it, but not an immediate title shot. At least 1 contender fight for Leon at 185 but tbh it should be 2/3 so that ranking can move along as intended.

You could tell he was playing nice cos they’re in the same gym but it was the first time I remember seeing Chandler genuinely holding back a dislike for someone.
