man, I can tell you the secret why Youichi's car looks slower that Ueo's - the suspension is the key. Youichi's suspension is F6kg R5.1kg, while Ueo's is F9kg and R6kg - hard suspension setting is very important in low hp drifting, as harder springs will make the engine spin easier on bumps as they would rebound quicker than on soft ones. That's the secret.
it's cool seeing the difference b/t Youichi's and Ueo's driving style with their AE86. i'm sorry but i have to give it to Ueo, he really goes in full throttle and way faster than that.
@jdsim the diff is also in hte engine....immamura makes more power than ueo cuz of the bigger cams but has to keep the engine revvin high to keep it in the powerband unlike ueo who opted to sacrifice a few ponies with smaller cams to have a more balanced engine.....
Ueo is more used 2 driving lower horsepower cars. he is able to maximise the use of the engine better..... U can see that immamura is slightly struggling 2 keep the angle there due 2 low horsepower.
haha yeah explains why he went with the RX7 when D1 was still fresh =p but i don't understand it, why not floor it? Ueo dropped the power once and he didn't seem happy haha then he kicked the clutch and went at it. Youichi here kinda just keeps it steady... by my observation, Ueo hardly ever jams on the brake too.
