    "If you're truly a motorsport enthusiasm you'll respect all forms of it" you could not of said it any better although, "karts are 2 stroke and outrun most of your favourite cars" the love of racing has nothing to do with the 'class' you are driving in which took me a lot of thought when i asked myself whats better JGTC racing or Touge racing or F1 every argument has a counter one. its the love of; the engine, the noise, the feel, the 'zone' that makes it all.. equal.

    Either the R31 Nissan Skylines or the VL Holden Commodores (as they ran Nissan engines in the late 80s), rebuild the bottom end with turbo pistons, rings, bearings, pumps etc then bolt an R32 RB25DE head onto it, custom front facing plenum and high mounted T70 or similar. They make monstrous torque for what they are, great for drift, drag, street, whatever youre doing really. RIPS in New Zealand build the best 30DETs in the world, check their site or youtube them

    @somerandomaussie actually no your wrong there, the fastest RB is reece mcgregors GTR from new zealand, he was their main competion and they are yet to beat his records. and the RB26 is the best engine, anyone who knows anything about RBs knows that the RB30 is the best of the bunch by a long shot. JZs are great engines, i wouldve used one myself in one of my cars but they dont rev as high and RBs offer more bang for buck, especially 30s, easy prey for a 2JZ

  • @somerandomaussie
    @somerandomaussie Před 14 lety

    @25det if u build these engines u would know u would have to modify the rb30 block to fit the rb26 head...the motor with forgies is gonna cost u 6-10k with parts and labour to build now for 4-5k i could buy a 2jz motor from the wreckers and those things can handle 800hp with plenty of torque

    just google SUPERKART and READ!!! they can sustain more then 3g of lateral force, they have more then 100hp, 0-60 in less then 3 seconds, 250cc engine, they often are the fastest vehicule on certain circuits, but of course you can pass it in the straight if you have 1000hp

    @25det actually the hks 180sx has done 7.1 down the quarter and no one has come close....2jz are making alot more power than any rb and are alot more reliable doin as for bang for ur buck a 800hp 2jz is alot cheaper than a 800rb motor..2jz is alot stronger than a rb standard and if u wanna build em for the money u spend making a 3 ltr stroker rb u could have a build 2jz that can handle twice the power

    @25det Před 14 lety

    @somerandomaussie do you even know how to build these engines? because i do, i have been for many years now & you dont stroke an RB30 from a 26, you rebuild the $200 bottom end of the RB30e with forgies & aftermarket oil pumps etc & use the 26s head with a massive turbo setup to make unbelievable amounts of torque, i love JZs but they are expensive to build, i think you need to go look at all of the videos of RIPS built RB30s (world leaders) and also reece mcgregors GTR, the fastest in the world

    Hachiroku and all you driftmania. I know a bunch of you didn't know that real karting competition karts are 2 stroke and outrun most of your favorite cars. (2.5 G-force and 0-100km/h in around 4 seconds. Even all touring car drivers that have tried it admits that it is much more difficult to drive than cars. Yes kids drive karts and the pro ones are much better driver than you and can beat you anytime. If you're truly a motorsport enthusiasm you'll respect all forms of it. Don't stay blind.

  • @xxbulletx
    @xxbulletx Před 14 lety

    the only thing that makes the rb26 great is the atessa awd system that is in the gtr,the rb26 is only good as a stock engine because of the oil restriction problems associated with it in higher horse power examples i would have an rb25 or even an rb30 over a rb26 any day

    all of you posting here don't realize the difference between drifting and grip racing -_-.... the ariel atom is designed to be a grip racer... grip cars are designed to be the fastest in turns and straights so they won't get the highest G's. the AE86 needs to be tuned to get those high G's, drifting yields the higher G's because of the driving techniques used such as "feint" drifting and "power-off" drifting.... lrn2racetechnique before you start flaming each other

  • @somerandomaussie
    @somerandomaussie Před 14 lety

    @25det rb26s not so great? i dont really like the rbs myself but there better than every other rb motor...all the quickest skylines use rb26s and the fastest rb in the world is a 2.8l rb stroker built by hks....but i would rather a jz over any rb...

    Yeah, and besides, if you crash on a touge road with a superkart, the result is very ugly. XD If a drifting car crashes, there's a high chance of survival.
    I mean, aren't superkarts extremely lightweight? XD They look like somebody used a shrinking beam on an F1.

  • @donriko666
    @donriko666 Před 15 lety

    Haha, ok. I don't talk with half the pretentiousness you do, only common sense. But hey, what do I know, I'm only a Motorsport Engineering student right? Unless you can substantiate your claim, you'll just look like a fool - and I dunno, but a Formula 1 car weighs like, what, 600kg, fully wet and with driver? And a kart is around 100kg for the same as above? Power difference? Tyre surface area? DOWNFORCE? Any differences? Just try to think before you post, a claim without proof is just worthless
