- We continue our WWII Small Arms Series. Jeremiah and Mike Venturino discuss the history, care, loading and shooting these old WWII small arms. This episode is on the Soviet SVT 40. Mike and Jeremiah will discuss the features, care and loading for these firearms. Then it is off to the range.
Awesome video and great conversation to. Thank you Jeremiah and Mike.
Nice I enjoyed this.
Never seen one in person before good job as always.
Great information. Thanks for the video.
Good watching there, fellows..quite like both your and Mr Venturinos' work and articles. I may add, without criticism-there is a way to clean the SVT series from the breach-at the rear of the reciever is a pivoting little cover. Once you remove the guts (bolt, carrier, etc) a long cleaning road can be passed thru. Having said that, not sure about the sniper mount being in the way or no...would have to check my made-up sniper before being confident.
Great Stuff guys
I understand that the SVT40 was also issued to Naval battalions because sailors were accustomed to working with machinery whereas conscripts from unmechanised farms or hunter-gatherer backgrounds tended to have problems with looking after self-loading firearms. As anyone who has taught people how to shoot, can attest … it is much easier to teach girls and women how to use and maintain firearms😁!
Thanks for an entertaining video. Cheers from NZ🇳🇿.
My svt sniper shoots the S&B 180 grain factory loads pretty good.
I REMBER MIKE WHEN HE WAS A BLACK POWDER SHARPS GUY
Same powder charge for 150 to 250 grain bullet, don't want him loading for me
Pretty sure he said 150-155 grain bullets
@@dyouden yep what's it again he did say to a 155 grain I was wrong
@@jeffreywilson690 I had to listen to it 3 times to make sure that’s what he said lol
Thanks I enjoyed the content
