hey buddy just to give you some advice when you crank that thing up and it is cold like that it's not good to start wrapping it up while the old is still ice cold and making the oil pressure shoot over to 75 pounds
Ya, exactly. When the pedal is to the floor it activates the clutch brake. Let it out and back in it finds it home. It's not because the truck is old, it's the way it's designed.
I've seen those little windows on the lower parts of the doors & at first I didn't know what they were for & now I know they're for the lower side mirrors to help the drivers see if there are any other vehicles that are right beside the cab while out on the road.
That engine needs a valve job! You notice the water temp gauge needle was off the pin; he'd already warmed it up and yet you can still hear it is one tired dog. Need to flip the PDL to 'out' and try rocking the tractor back and forth; might go out.
the light is on because the PDL is on which is rear end when you have an Engaged it's for torque in in low range if you go on the highway with that like that you will blow your rear end and you'll be stuck in neutral no matter what gear you put it in you will be going nowhere and it will cost you a couple thousand of dollars to fix
It’s definitely has a cool nostalgic value, but damn I wouldn’t want to drive old equipment like this. That’s just my personal preference, but a really cool truck.
a buddy of mine has one. that bunk space is actually good enough to twin mattress with with storage under it. but it looks cheap the way he has a mini fridge, microwave and tv/dvd stacked ....good truck for regional..but long haul ? hell no....also,on a good day he only gets about 6 mpg...he is happy pulling cartage out of a rail yard..i guess that is all that matters
I have seen the same , we will just call the company X for obvious reasons , I think they say they won't take a truck over 5 years or 500k , I know the years are right , anyways a good friend of mine is running a 1974 pete cabover with them , his dad bought it new , but according to him there was 2 main reasons they did , one was condition , and the other was the fact the truck has never been off the road , last I knew this truck was over 5 million miles on the frame , everything else has been rebuilt or replaced
I drove alot of trucks for walmart those cabovers were some of my favorite
Always love the IH Cabovers
I have a 95 as well from Walmart as well. Love the cabover...hope to get her back on the road soon. Porter Dude of Ohio.

Let the clutch out a little while trying to swap cogs when you’re stationary 👍👌✌️

It’s going to have excessive smoke if you continue to rev it cold

I would love to find one of these and turn it into a custom rv
the reason the pdl is because you had the switch flipped to in i think they it stuck sometimes try to flip it to out and see if the light goes out
VERY NICE TRUCK😏
if you operate that truck make sure the PDL is locked out 4 NE Highway use otherwise you will blow your rear end

Walmart only kept those trucks between 550k to 600 k as soon as we hit 600 k we got a new one
Used to drive one with longer wheelbase delivering produce daily. It had a cat in its guts though
thats a 9670 c/o ...I drove one of them it had a self loading log knuck boom ,
Yo we got the same exact model in the Walmart! We’re fixing her up this summer so check out our playlist if anyone is interested!

Trucks to old to get hired by any carrier in North America, Maybe Mexico? A farmer might buy truck to haul grain, It's perfect for that, Good Luck!
