  • In this episode we tackle the following Home Decor question from one of the Houzz Forums:
"We are building a modern farmhouse. We're doing white house with white trim. The doors and the windows are both black. My question is this...Normally you would paint the house in a satin finish and the trim in a glossy finish. But if I'm doing white on white, and using the exact same color, would that look funny? Should I just do both trim and house in satin? I'm looking at photos, but the finish of the paint is tough to discern."
    Let's do this!

I can understand the semi-gloss on the trim work, but what the heck is a "low-sheen"?? A Yank here I'm maybe not understanding your lingo? Is "Lo-Sheen" another way of saying FLAT WHITE paint? ??

G'day buddy and apologies for the very late reply. Low Sheen has different meanings in different parts of the world it seems. But in my neck of the woods it means a gloss level in between flat and semi-gloss (about 8-12 in gloss level). A good choice for interior and exterior walls in other words :)
