i painted a room that was painted many years ago, and it had all sorts of low quality paint, even in some places no paint at all, i had to use primer where there was no paint and then i undercoated the whole room, and the next day i painted it. it turned out great

What's best as a base coat for new internal wall filler/repaired cracks etc... before top coat of emulsion?
just painted a wall and it has bubbled in places I am of to rub all the places that has bubbled what should I use before painting it again

Very helpful, I used to be confused about the difference, To be fair, these days many undercoats, sealers and primers come as one. Wherever I can, I use Dulux One Step. As far as I can tell, it is the best on the market, although a little pricier. Have you produced an episode on oil based undercoat, or pigmented sealer. Cheers

Using Dulux 1 step undercoat on well sanded panel board and clear finish timber but despite trying Zinesser paint booster (Rustoleum product) and thinning with water I can't avoid a terrible ropey finish. Going nuts. Wish I had used oil based paint. What's wrong?
Thanks for explaining. I have a newly laid concrete surface of 276m² which will be the floor of a duck house. They wee and poo a lot! I'm doing my best to explain to these Thai builders that they need to sweep the base, use PVA solution to first seal it. I was confused if we can just top coat with red paint or do I still need a primer, then top coat. Trying to save money. Should top coat be specifically garage floor paint and should it be water or oil based? Would love some advice! 😬

Hi mate. What you said is bible. I was just doing today a bathroom. With dulux 1 step prep oil based i saved 3 different coats in 1. And it’s a really good sealer to sand afterwards. Where are you based?
will the sealer work if applied over the primer? so the primer wont peel off?

Hello Sir. Could you tell me would this three in one be good for a Chicken Brooder? Or would One of the others bee best. It would be painted directly on wood so that it would be easier to clean up the chick brooder. Thank you :)

I want to paint a plastic bottle but i think i've purchased the wrong thing (undercoat) ...instead of primer ....do you think the undercoat will at least as good if not better than primer to paint new surface of the bottle ? I wanted to buy a primer but all the confusion lead me to undercoat...now that i found your video i think i am dead wrong :D

well,sealer only for new surfaces that never been paint before..sealer sesuai untuk contohnya seperti rumah yg bru siap dan semata mata simen sahaja dan belum di sapu cat.klu cikgu nk cat yg bahagian yg dh di cat xpayah sealer xpayah primer dh,cuma beli undercoat sahaja dan cat warna yg cikgu nak cat selepas setel undercoat tu...

Dude, every time I paint dark green, it looks like dogsh-t. I tried grey primer, different nap roller covers, tried my finish stroke all in one direction, and it dries with "stripes" 100% of the time. All other dark colors dry perfectly. Wtf am I doing wrong?
