What episode
He was in construction you should have been more worried
What you mean, wasn't he an actor before police academy? I recall cops making fun of him and asking questions about his beach house or something
@@stefanmijatovic5837 he was a contractor with his own construction company, he moved to LA to become a cop and has a millionare friend and lives in his guest house during the first season
A couple of days ago, I applied to my counties' sheriffs office, and I'm leaving construction after 3 years. Construction is far more dangerous than law enforcement, with 13 deaths per 100,000 compared to 38.5 deaths per 100,000. I've had enough close calls to know its time to move on, I have about 5 years involved in the fire service as well so maybe if hired I'll be able to apply that knowledge to become a more well rounded officer and be able to communicate with other agencies more fluidly seeing as how I have their same training. An emergency scene is the last place to butt heads together.
As a carpenters wife I agree.
@@alphacode5 Yeah, that's what happens when I watch series through shorts :'D Thanks!
Its really sweet that henry cares so much about nolan
Yeah because unlike daughters , sons actually care about their old man.

Reasonable worries from the family. At least he didn't leave his father's life for no reason
Not reasonable tbh
Being a cop isn't even in the top 10 most dangerous jobs but propaganda works well.đ
@@carlee5432Iâm sure youâre a well adjusted person who most people love being around.
It's more dangerous to be a delivery driver or a construction worker than to be a cop. It's not nearly as dangerous as people think.
@@carlee5432 And the majority of the deaths with cops are Auto Accidents and Self Harm(except during the height of Covid when it was the leading cause of death among police and first responders in general).
Wasn't Nolan a construction worker before? The ironic part about this is that I'm pretty sure some construction worker positions are more dangerous then being a cop statistically
He wasnât a worker. He owned his own construction company
Also as a cop Nolan had the worse luck
@@LjuboCupic1912 He had to be a worker to get to the owning. However, I get the feeling he worked on houses, so less dangerous I'm sure.
@@LjuboCupic1912owner operators do all the dumb shit so they donât get sued by their guys
@@ashwinsnmv thats called being one of the main character, everything that can happen, will happen to them XD
The show is called âThe Rookie!â
Henry(young boy)= Nolanâs son(oldest rookie)
Girl= Sargentâs daughter
And a small bit of backstory:
The Sargent normally doesnât go out on the streets but he is that day and the girl doesnât like it because of the near death occurrences that can happen and sheâs afraid to loose her dad. Also she ended up scaring Henry so thatâs why he talked to his dad about the whole thing.
S?ep?
The Rookie. Also..that girl was great in izombie
What season(s) of izombie?
"you're covered in blood"
"Let me tell you about the time i got covered in shit while helping an emt treat a guy off his meds."
"Somebody else's blood" đđđ
I canât hear Nathan fillion without hearing âyour my favoriteâ
I got that reference! đ„čđ«Ą
He will be missed but not forgotten (and hopefully bungie doesnât bring him back again, as much as weâd like it, it would lessen the impact each time)
Statistically his old jon was more dangerous
My dad was a cop and as a kid I didnât understand why he was always gone and as a teen I stopped caring, then I became an angry teen and hated him but we have a better relationship now
Sounds like a bad father
@@BOOMDIGGER he was but he eventually actually learned about autism and adhd and got a lot better
What's funny was that Grey didn't kick the door down the first try
Sacrifices matters for our Families â€
john noland is the main character he has plot armor
Less dangerous than garbage man
I get the kid's "every time the phone rings" thing.
As a solution with modern technology, wouldn't it be possible to set certain numbers to a unique ringtone? Give families the number(s) that would contact them in case something happens and they can give it a unique ringtone. Both reduces a little bit of stress of every time the phone rings and gives you the immediate "oh shit, something is wrong" when you do hear it.
Bro really said "dont worry it's not my blood"
And a son becomes a father, kids man
He once called someone rookie in halo. Now he is the rookie. Nathan Fillion is a fantastic actor
My father is marines ,we grew up wout him and we turn out allright ,no issues , ,by the way we are four boys
Cops, it's not what they do, it's who they are.
Everybody's always trying to make it seem like policing is the most dangerous job in the world, the reality is in his former profession as a contractor, he probably had as great or greater chance of dying on the job.
Sad reality is life is dangerous and believe it or not majority of the jobs men and women work are dangerous we just do our best to survive and make it home
I read enjoy Nathan Fillion, seems like an all around good dude.
As a child of a policeman, I totally resonate with his worry. I would wait at the front door after school just so I can be the first person my dad sees when return. When he was hospitalised from shooting incidents I was in absolute wreck. And these happened before Uber, grab and video calls exists
Get the best advice from my...... Son!
Nowadays my just being at work is dangerous notwithstanding being a police officer teacher or other first responder
And the son becomes the father. This is so true no matter the age or job or family situation. There comes a time in our lives that we become the parent to our parents.
Quick question is this how a healhty dad and son relationship is ? Like how nolan and his son talk
Nolan's son's lines sound like something a fed-up wife would say. Not sounding much like a teenage boy at all.
Yea.
Honestly construction is just as dangerous , and usually more deadly. You can survive a bullet, you can't survive a 8 ton steel beam landing on you though. Unless he was just a foreman , idk what he did as construction worker. Many different jobs in it
I used to be a marine and then a cop, then I became a dad. I left cause being a dad was more important, can't dedicate yourself a hundred percent to being a dad and a cop, or a marine. I work hospital security now in a hospital that specializes in psych and drug rehab. I've gotten hurt more here than I did as either. Stabbed 3 times, had a gun pulled on me(were unarmed) luckily it was a revolver and the cylinder didn't index properly. Been beaten on and had my collar bone broken by a door jam. Had to have this talk with all 2 of my kids, once the third is old enough to worry I'm sure I'll have it again
John: And the son becomes the father.
Me: Youâre Green Lantern. Not Superman.
Ok ima say it where kate at cuz ik damn well dats dey son đ
For what itâs worth the shows writing was really good Iâve watched the whole thing twice now and loved it.
It might not be the most realistic but thatâs what makes it entertaining if it was just average days it would be boring
Yes, but he also got stabbed in a swordfight.......
This kid reminds me of clay
The fact he wasnât worried for his dad when he was in construction means he never knew what THAT entailed either.
He only worked on houses AFAIK and he was also the owner of the company.
despite what the T.V says, pizza delivery drivers are more likely to die on the job.
Called
The rookie I think
The rookie my dude
darude sandstorm
My dads a cop too and i actually have the same exact fear his son does
My father was killed in the line of duty
What's funny to me is that the sun didn't think about any of that until the chick talked to him about her dad. So no I don't think he's been worrying every time the phone rang That is dad might be dead.
Being a cop isn't even in the top 10 most dangerous jobs.
Very true.
Not really the point is it
Yes, itâs fiction. But in a real Blue family, this is true. Every day. You say âI love youâ every day. Because you know your worst nightmare is possible. And that phone call or knock on the door can happen.
It is a dangerous job but more because of bad cops and cops who violate our rights.
I still donât understand that scene. Did they do it on purpose to trick the cops or are they actually fighting? Can someone tell me?
Nolan is a cop because he chose to be a cop. Although Henry is still his son, he is not a little boy anymore. He needs to drop some nuts and man up.
What is this ahow caleed
The rookies
The rookie
The boys

There are no American rookie cops of this caliber in real life. This show is a fantasy.
OMG, NO. God how could i have been so foolish. Youâre telling me the tv show with actors and a writing team isnât a documentary. Damn
A fictional show is a fantasy? Just like fast and furious, Chicago fire, and Paw Patrol?? Omg
Dude, take fiction for what it is. Good or bad, it's still fiction
This show has great moments, but damn is the episode to episode just trash.
"I never had to worry"
Apparently Henry doesn't know how dangerous Construction can be
The kid's a snowflake.
Get over yourself, kid!
I have to admit, that was some pretty bad acting from what I know to be a pretty decent actor.
lame
This show was great for the first one and a half seasons after that it became generic left-wing propaganda bullshit.
W ow
Rubbish đ
Cops aren't even in the top 20 of most dangerous jobs.
Lumberjack is 1#
Being a cop is not even close to a dangerous job. Copaganda shows are annoying as hell.
Ahh is someone mad that cops are human and face societies worst every day while getting shit pay
What a poor little thing you are
Imagine your upset because of a over dramatic, unrealistic, written TV Show
So, you think being a cop is not dangerous? Wow, you are brainwashed.
I compared some public data:
In 2020, in USA there were *5.547.576* workers employed in transportation.
Transportation incidents killed 1,778 workers in 2020.
In 2021 there were *660.228* full-time law enforcement officers employed in the United States. As reported by FBI, *129* law enforcement officers were killed in line-of-duty incidents in 2021.
Every *3199th* worker and every *5118th* police officer died at work *in a year* .
Yes, these numbers are different, it just seems like you hate cops
â@@leereredone9418 Those numbers seem to suggest working in transport is almost twice as dangerous as being a cop. That's interesting! I've heard that farming, landscaping, and fishing are also a good deal more statiaticslly dangerous, at least in the USA.
