So let me get this straight. This was a hearing on government’s influence on big tech censorship and Ben was here to talk about the effects on his company. Swalwell decided to use his time to not talk about that issue and instead ask a bunch of random questions on Ben’s beliefs. Then he claims this whole hearing is theater. You can’t turn something into theater and then complain about it.
It's common for both parties to do this, but it's a stupid practice. Swalwell was just trying to get campaign material, especially by trying to get Ben to explicitly say that homosexual activity is a sin

That was my favorite part. Before this they were obviously digging for something on him, thought they found it to the extent of having it printed out on poster board which is no small effort. It almost felt like he had to bring it up because of that. I really wonder what the back room conversations were about all this, it’s like they didn’t understand anything about Ben at all.
Two possibilities
1) he didn’t expect Ben to actually be so open and say what he believes, since no one in his own professional circle behaves that way
2) it was an intern that prepared that slide and in a true Ron Burgundy moment, he started reading it without knowing what it said

Ben Shapiro is a PUBLICLY religious Jew, and he’s not a politician. Why would anyone try to pigeonhole him into a stance he is very open about during their limited time?
My favorite part was Swalwell's poster with Ben's quote stating exactly what Ben said he believed in like it would be some sort of gotcha. It was a self-own and was glorious.

To be honest it looked like Ben was sugar coating most of his statements and was not clear nor straight up about his own beliefs. Even though it may be irrelevant to the topic. I found it very strange that Ben was not able to provide a straight up answer about Homosexuality being a sin or the ban on abortion pills etc. Not judging his beliefs but I personally don't respect men that are shy of their beliefs because of public perception, very hypocritical.

There is so much I agree with Ben here, except the issue relating to immigration and immigrants. What actually denotes someone as an illegal.
