I love how Firefly is the sole survivor (?) of her planet due to Giant Sting, and Ruan Mei is trying to replicate Giant Sting however they're both best together as a team 😂

What's crazy is that she was trying to make something WORST than a giant sting, an emenator of propagation that blows up stars

Her skill name is very interesting because in Chinese it’s called 慢捻抹复挑, which is a reference to a Tang Dynasty poem called 琵琶行 (‘song of the pipa’ or ‘ballad of the lute’ in English; sourced from Wikipedia). This is my first time seeing it in English… the localisers cooked for this one
you only need to build 160% break effect from substat and lightcone because her trace (the 20% BE to all allies one) also applies to her, so in battle you'll have 180% BE
If only her speed would apply to her also. Lol
Had me cackling, love your guides dude. As a Ruan Mei main heres some extra tips (and correct me if im wrong on any of these):
-Despite her sig lightcone saying that she replenishes a skill point once her break effect exceeds 150%, it actually just gives you the point even if her BE increases at a point above 150%. I'm unsure of how this pairs with Harmony TB but if you're using the 4pc watchmaker set then you literallt get an sp on each of her ults.
-Another reason she's amazing with Xueyi is because the increased toughness reduction buff allows Xueyi to build more stack for her FUA when she skills on quantum enemies and ults (on any enemy). Unsure about the exact numbers but its nice since Xueyi has the slickest fua animation (imo).
-You should run one of the planar sets that increase ER along with an ER rope for a 3 turn ult rotation

Ah yes her eidolons, her E6 is so much better then super breaks like not even as a joke she insta kills the bosses with how much break dmg she alone deals.
About the relics I agree mostly and the part about ornaments didn't really think of using penacony or fleet, maybe will give it a try later.
You can forsake regen rope, if you are running her with her lightcone and have an energy regen character such as houhou or maybe the penacony set.
Cause she only needs a very tiny boost of regen to have 100% uptime for her ult atleast from personal experience.
So you can make the argument of running break effect rope if you want more dmg which is like why when she already murders everyone.

Cool video but it'd be even coller if I didn't lose 50/50 to bailu but it's fine (it's not fine). It's not like I waited for 6 months for her banner or anything (I did) 🙂 I'm sure E2 bailu is just as good I'm not crying in a corner (I am) 🙂

Forgot to mentiom how good she is in DoT teams not just break.
Isn't Watchmaker better on HTB than Ruan Mei, because they charge their ult faster? My Ruan Mei has 4pc Messenger for speed, and Sprightly Vonwacq to use her skill before Firefly's first turn.

Because of her Technique activating her skill at the start of battle; you don’t need her to go first, so Vonvacq‘s action advance is not very useful
120SPD Ruan Mei + Vonwacq lets you cast ult on her first turn before your other characters act, prolongs the ult duration due to slow speed, let's you focus substats on BE instead of SPD, and lets you activate Kafka's FUA without needing to build a character faster than Kafka.
It's especially good on carries that go fast af such as Firefly who want and can destroy the enemy before her buff runs out and benefits heavily from Ruan Mei having more BE.
But this is heavy min-maxing and is only suggested if you kbow what you're doing.

Can anyone explain what a res pen is?
Res Pen (short for Resistance Penetration) ignores a percentage of the enemy’s elemental resistance.
It‘s a different stat from Defense.
For example, some enemies like Cocolia have Ice Resistance, reducing the dmaage taken from Ice Damage.
Res Pen breaks through that and basically means your units deal a percentage more damage against enemies with Resistances.
