  • Our John Deere 5055 tractor started acting up during second hay cutting this summer while Jessi was using the small square baler. It seems to only act up under a load and using the pto. Trent has changed out the fuel filter, but with no improvement. Join us today as Trent finds another filter and see how it goes.
    Thanks for joining us!

To strain the fuel just get some metsl screen and make a cone out of it and put that inside a funnel.
    Great find, brother!
    Thanks.
It's 10 pm- but I'm gonna go have a look at mine.
Need the tractor to get stuff done !

Thanks for your video. I have a 5045e. Had exactly the same problem. Looked in the owners manual, and mine did not look like that one. After watching your video, i pulled the line and filter. Same problem. Cleaned it about and all good now!!! Thanks.

If you do again flush a gallon through to clean crap of tank bottom, place a filler screen, good video TY

You d man Rustic. I. Was searching CZcams for an answer to a loss of power issue with my JD 5055 tractor and watched your video. That was the problem. Thanks. Btw i went ahead and removed the fuel tank screen and installed an inline secondary filter.

It's getting in there from your storage tank or jugs where you get your fuel from.

Well, looks like I need to repeat this procedure again. Anyone figure out a way to clean out the bottom of the tank? I saw he flushed through a gallon but still got to be a lot of gunk still in there..

Leave that little filter out of it. Let your main filter catch it and drain it when needed.
