My Mom was my garage sale buddy also for many years. My husband was awesome about taking care of our son on Saturday mornings so that we could go to the sales. Mom and Dad both passed away this year just 2 weeks apart. Enjoy those precious times together.

Hi I am new to your channel and really love your content. I am also need to reselling. I started in February 2024. I think my frustrations in a nutshell are how many items do I have to have in my store to start making between three and $500 a month. Right now I only have about 120 items in my store and I work on it full-time. You’ve helped me with pricing my items, I tend to price a little high and I’ve been learning how to use comps. Thanks for your top 10 lists really enjoy them. Briefly about myself, I am a retired RN in my 70s and enjoy Thrifting and finding those unicorns.
@@paulettekelley6219 I generally make about 300-500 a month. I don’t think the key is how many items are in your store. The key is listing enough new items each month that are desirable and at good prices! If I list 30 desirable items each month at good prices, that’s enough for me to maintain $300-$500 profit each month
Hi Amber, I’ve enjoyed watching your YT videos since you originally had some type of a challenge with Courtney years ago. I’m a part time reseller and now retired, I was a children’s book publisher and children’s musical program publisher (including children’s instrument creation/manufacturing for several different companies for over 25 years and unfortunately suffered a stroke in 2017 which I decided to permanently retire since a large part of my business was international and it would be very difficult to travel after my stroke. I love that you enjoy the time thrifting with your mom! I grew up thrifting with mine and still enjoy taking her out from time to time (she's more frail now). Great video and as always you have really well researched information, we love having an actuary to check those numbers for us!
I'm employed full time in a law firm as a Legal Assistant/Office Manager. It will be 34 years this year that I've worked there. I've been reselling part-time since 2017 and really love it. I've been following you on CZcams for quite a few years now and really enjoy your content.
As much as i woukd love to be FT reselling i cant right now. I am a caregiver for my dad who has had several heart related issues, he also has dementia and will be 80 next month. He consumes alot of my “spare” time. I also took on being a full time caregiver for a special needs senior. She has lived with me for over a year. PLUS I also watch my 2 year old grandson full time. And now i took on 2 more dementia clients 2 days a week.
Soooo my reselling income pretty much is what pays my bills even though its not a great income. I am getting better at it and blocking out days and making my schedule more consistent and profitable for me.
I also grew up on a farm but in Southern California my dad raised pigs and cows to sell and slaughter. Chickens and goats for eggs and milk, Horses, mini horses & ponies for fun.
My mom passed away from cancer when i was 11 and my dad had to sell the farm to take care of 3 kids! Never did he complain & that’s exactly why i care for him now!
Anyways… I’m so glad you get to spend time with your mom, that makes me happy!

Fellow Iowan here! I resell part time and am also a mom to 2 kids. At my full time job I oversee the digitization of paper based materials for our special collections & archives. I like old stuff!
OMG can't wait for those community yard sales to start up. I also can skip all thrift stores in favour of bins and yard sales. We do have sporadic yard sales all year long. Beautiful doggie!

@@Elahnah.Reseller Nothing too exciting. 5 or 6 $20-$30 items. I did find a really nice north face coat for my niece and really nice pans set for one of my sisters. Those are my more exciting finds 😆 The coat and the pan set both retailed for about $140, resold for about $70, and the garage sales were asking $40. So great deal for my sister/niece.

I am a Community Resource Manager at a Senior Living Community.Stumbled into reselling during pandemic. It really eased my mind and provided much needed distraction. Currently sell P/T on EBay & Posh. Would like to continue as I am hoping to retire in the next year or so!

Happy Easter! Regarding items in my closet that have been listed 3 - 4 - 5 years. While I have pulled a few items over the years because I found some sort of flaw or damage to throw away, (I never re donate anything with flaws); For the most part I leave the older, less expensive items at the bottom of my Closet and only share those items one time per week. They sell! I give them little to no attention yet there seems to always be someone out there looking for those exact pieces. I know some CZcams resellers delight in weeding out listings they're tired of looking at. If it works for them, great! I don't understand why I would want to delete a listing that I've already invested time in processing when I've found that it all sells eventually when the right buyer comes along. Its interesting to me that you call reselling a hobby. If it brings income i see it as more of a side hustle. Im also a part-time reseller.
I work full-time in our local government office. I've been reselling part-time for about 5 years. With retirement approaching, I see this as a nice income stream.

It’s actually crazy how similar you and I are - I think we both had our babies around the same time, I love selling shoes above all else, outdoor shed for my stuff too 😂 the only difference is I don’t work outside of the house 😊

I work Full time and do Inventory For a Cabinet company and resell part time. I wrote my last post before the end of the video. I plan on going full time when I retire in about 3 years. 🥰😅
