- The best way I've found to get a lot of items listed is to just spend a day where that is my #1 focus. In this video, I attempt to photograph and list 50 clothing items in one day to eBay, Poshmark, and Facebook Marketplace. Don’t worry about what the others listed, totally different dynamics in their homes 😊 I know Paul taking care of Paul is a big job, it’s not quite as demanding as a baby 😉 I got one kidding up while watching, but I kept dozing off due to a cough keeping me up at night. I’m super happy with tat 1 for now, nap time.
Man you’re good! I have a 1.5 year old who is literally running everywhere…and I do great to get just 4-5 items posted a day! This could definitely be some motivation for me…maybe I can do 10! At least for one day. Haha.

I had to work mostly at night when she was sleeping bc my baby wanted to nurse all day. It's hard having a business with a baby.

I am not sure I could do 50 listings in a day. You crushed it with listing 30 manually to 3 platforms. Do you list on your phone or computer? I list on my phone and use to crosslist manually. I switch to using vendoo and it’s been great. Great video Amber!

I understand the plastic bag reason, I kind of wish I could but the environmental impact worries me, so I wrap in tissue paper….I also think it’s nicer for the customers so I don’t wrap until something sells, I just label the containers.

Where do I get the spreadsheet for inventory?
Do I need to get a business license to sell on eBay and the other platforms?
Do I need to use any type of analytics software or app?
Do you offer any assistance or training tutorials on how to set up an e-by, poshmart, etc. platform? and if you do, how much do you charge for service,

@susy2731 I've been watching 'Amber Resells' channel sporadically for perhaps four years. When I started, Amber was working FT and doing extra studies to qualify as an Actuary. THIS is why she is so interested and skilled with data - like buy prices, sell prices, fees taken by EBay and Poshmark on each sale, shipping costs, costs of equipment and packaging supplies, and profit from each sale. Amber created her own Inventory Spreadsheets to suit her business and available time.
I believe the typical advice to you from established Resellers would be along the lines of:
1/ Start small but Just Start. For example - create a Poshmark Closet and list ten items
2/ Don't paralyse yourself by thinking you need to be an expert before you start
3/ Watch CZcams tutorials from other Resellers - especially if they are in your State or City. (Amber has learned that her business, based in Iowa, is quite different to one in TX or CA.)
4/ Buy and Sell stock that YOU enjoy - that makes the whole process more achievable. You know by now that some Resellers specialise (eg Plus Size Clothing, Outdoor Gear, Brand Name Trainers, Purses) while others have a Poshmark Closet stocked for all genders and sizes.
5/ Understand that there will be 'seasons' in reselling. Many talk about their businesses going quiet over the Holidays. Some resellers target seasonal changes with their Closets. For example - building up inventory of coats, boots, and sweaters ahead of Fall/Winter. And holiday clothing, sandals, bags, gym clothing etc ready for Spring/Summer, Resort and Cruise wear.
6/ Work out where you can securely store inventory and realistically how much room you have. You may have an item for 3 months, 6 months, or longer before it sells.
7/ Join a Reseller Facebook group operating in your area. This will provide you with a community to encourage, support and share advice and information
8/ Embrace the mindset early on that you are working in a way that fits with YOUR life. You are not in competition with other resellers
9/ My understanding is that you need to provide your personal and financial details to establish an EBay and Poshmark account. They operate a Payment Transfer, Refunds and Fee Deduction service on their platforms. You do not need a business licence. The well established, high volume Resellers are more likely to register a business when they reach an income threshold that requires them to pay tax.
Congratulations on your enterprise! and commitment to earn income while caring for your mother.
And the final words of advice - ALWAYS BUY LOW (that is pay low prices for inventory at garage sales and Outlets), CHECK COMPS (you may love an item, but if it's only reselling for $10-15 then it's not worth your time cleaning, photographing & listing) and BE PREPARED TO LEAVE AN ITEM IF IT'S PRICED TOO HIGH OR YOU ARE UNSURE. 🍀🍀🍀
