We are going to compare it to the Toyota Rav4 Hybrid, Kia Sportage Hybrid, and the Hyundai Tucson Hybrid to see where it stacks up. And if you were wondering if it is different from the 2023 model we will go over that too. Check out all the specs we are going to compare the CRV Sport-L Hybrid to here.

    This is an absolutely great way to get a comparison between models with a listing of the features. No one else is doing this to this level. Thanks very much.

    OK.... I own the '23 Sport Touring Hybrid. This would be my 3rd CR-V. Honda makes a great vehicle in theory, and that's why I've owned so many. However, there are always things Honda conveniently leaves out, that twist up the loyal Honda customers. No Homelink garage door opener ($350, took 4 months to get the new mirror that has it). No cargo cover. (They were included with all my other CR-V's. I don't know where yours came from!) The dealership swears that the seats are leather. The screen is less than most other competitors, and firmware updates are all but non existent. The charging pad for the phone is wonky, at best. Wireless CarPlay has glitchy software that at times, needs a restart. It's good to have the onboard GPS (actually uses satellites), because the mobile phone people are not always that reliable, and towers are sometimes sparse. This thing has paddle shifters!! What the hell do I need with paddle shifters??!! (and, I did confirm that they are paddle shifters, and not some way to just invoke the charging system. The braking does that) This is a hybrid, not a Ferrari! And finally, there is NO SPARE TIRE!! I didn't find this out until I I watched another CZcams video that concerned this. I have achieved 42.5 MPG during the summer, playing with it. In the colder weather, you will get more like 34-36 MPG. Thanks for the video! Well done!

    This is the best informational review video for a car that I have ever seen. I love the written information pop-ups and all of the comparisons. Thank you so much!

    It's my understanding that the hybrid gets a 4cyl engine with NO turbo (that's a GOOD thing). But the engine comes with GDI injection only (not a good thing).
    Rav4 has GDI with port injection. This keeps the intake valves clean, avoids extra hassle.
    I could be wrong on this stuff. Check before spending $$$$$

      @user-wz1ri5gw2m Před měsícem +1

      You are correct. For whatever reason why they add GDI for the 2023/2024 CRV Hybrid, I do not know why. I’ve a 2022 CRV Hybrid Touring and it doesn’t have it.

    Phenomenal review as always… can you do the 2024 Honda ridgeline soon?

    Not worth going to a lower trim and losing so much, with a new car. Why buy a new car, if it's going to be stripped down? You will probably keep it for 10+ yrs and I doubt you will regret paying a few more Gs, to enjoy a lot more from the car. I'd rather buy a loaded used one, than a base new one any day.

    I've had one for about three months. 2024 AWD Sport L and I'm averaging 35.2 MPG mostly city driving in normal mode.

    Just bought one, Incredible however missing homelink and spare tire. Positive note you don't need to plug it in to charge it like the competition. Hands down better that way

    Great review, thanks! Still deciding between this, the rav 4, crosstrek or Solterra.

    • @CalgaryGuy71
      @CalgaryGuy71 Před 2 měsíci

      Crosstrek is slooow. If you don't mind that, test drive it first. I test drove the 2.5L and it felt terrible and sluggish. It's a cool car though.

    • @CalgaryGuy71
      @CalgaryGuy71 Před 2 měsíci +1

      I shouldn't say terrible...the suspension is great....everything is great except for that dang cvt.

  • @CalgaryGuy71
    @CalgaryGuy71 Před 2 měsíci

    I actually sat in this vehicle at my local dealership and I'm a tall guy with long legs. It fit me well! I was impressed. I'm curious how that measurment is done for front legroom as typically 41.3" of legroom wouldn't work for me. I like to be able to stretch my left leg out past the brake pedal (old guy hip tendinitis). Several vehicles won't let me do that due to lack of space beside the brake pedal. The CRV does. It's a shame about the non-flat folding back seat. Now I need to test drive it to see if the CVT will drive me crazy. Subaru's is too slow.

    Justin and CRV owners...i have the Rav 4 hybrid, is it worth switching to a crv hybrid . (2 of the main gripes are no spare nr homelink,something the rav4 has.)

    The Honda CRV Sport Hybrids do not have spare tires or donut spare tires. There is no place to store one except in the cargo area, taking up most of the space.

    • @tylerrainey3305

      It's EVT and it does a great job simulating gear shifts. There is actually a mechanical gear shift (low/high gearing) too.

    Dude what did you take before you started talking so fast and why would you buy a car without a spare tire go figure what Honda was thinking 😂

    • @dannybryant6873
      @dannybryant6873 Před měsícem

      To add insult to injury when they delete the spare tire they often delete the jack and wrench.
      If I kill a tire I would want to be removing it while a friend is on the way to take me and the tire to a tire shop.
