Great review Bruce. Bought the B100 last week. Extremely pleased and surprised at its performance. Keep up the reviews. Looking forward to your next one.

Nifty little unit. I bought a Fosi P1 tube pre amp and put in my tape monitor loop as a tube buffer and with my remote control I could switch back and forth instantly. I honestly could not hear the difference. It has tone controls so I can boost the bass and use it for an instant tone control. On my vintage units I use a remote power switch and I use headphone amps with remote volume controls so I don't even have to get up. LOL

Nice review. Would a set of B&W CM5 speakers be a be decent matching for this amplifier?

Thank you for your review on this device. Very much appreciated. Replacement tubes for this unit is very very hard to find. For that reason, this device is a pass for me. If you ever need to replace the tubes and can't find a replacement, is the same as having a dead unit that is worthless. I'll stick with tube amps, and preamps that carry common easy to find replacement tubes. The best audio equipment in the world worth hundreds of thousands of dollars means nothing if you can't get it to work. Just my humble opinion. Most likely a great product when it works.

Outstanding as always Bruce. I'm a budgetphile and I picked up a B100 after Steve Huff gave it a nice review not too long ago. After watching your review, I couldn't agree more with you. It was the best $180 I've spent in a very long time. I stream from an old iPhone or PC into a WiiM Pro and I use an external DAC (Soncoz QXD1) into the B100. This set up is unbelievable for near field or a small to medium sized room. It makes all my budget speakers (JBL, Wharfedale, QAcoustics, Elac, Polk & Sony) sound better than they ever have on any of my solid state systems. The lack of tone controls can be overcome with the WiiM Pro's EQ if you need to. I also picked up a Dayton Audio HTA100 which is another budget friendly hybrid tube amp. It's a little more expensive & powerful than the B100 and it has tone controls. Like the B100, the HTA100 gives me outstanding sound for the money. My conundrum now is, which unit do I keep. Thank you and keep up the great work.

Fantastic review! I will build active system based on this amp and another china wonder for the woofers: AIYIMA A07 MAX

It'd be Nice if you could try the Juson Audio Jta35. Seems like an upgraded version of this. Jta50 even better.

The B100 I received from Amazon was a disaster. Loud humming sound from all the inputs, including the BT. I don't trust the engineering from this company. I got an Ayima T9 Pro instead and it's been a problem-free unit for months now.

The early version uses 12J1S pentode tube. The last version uses 6P16A pentode tubes. My early version was a total disaster like yours humming and quit working after 15hr. Quality control was not their "Forté" back then! I replace all Chinese electrolytic capacitors with low ESR Japanese one. I replace some wiring, I repair the horrible soldering job they did and now he performs very well up to half volume, not bad for a cheap switching power supply. I need to try few Soviet 12Ж1Л pentode vacuum tubes (eBay), the Metal shield "Can" need to be removed otherwise they don't fit apparently.

@@fredcailloux2526 Unfortunately, I'm not capable of replacing internal parts, switching tubes is all I can do. I still got the Aiyima T9 Pro, but I switched to a pure D-class amp, the Aiyima D03, and it works like a charm with my Klipsch RB-75's (20 years old and still going strong). For my desktop setup I'm, using the small Fosi Audio BT20Pro, which also works nicely with a pair of Q Acoustics 3030i's.

Even for $180, it needs a balance knob, if it’s going to be an “integrated” amplifier.

@@pinky6863 Blah blah blah. I’ve been playing records since 1965. My mother was Lead Quality Supervisor for Columbia Records at their largest pressing plants in Santa Ana and Santa Maria, 1954-1967. Father was a NASA/DoD guidance engineer and very into HiFi. Yeah, I’ve got every Pink Floyd original pressing, bought when they came out. So?? I never stopped playing vinyl, even when CDs came out. I stream music on occasion. But records are still my first choice in music, with over 5,000 in my collection.
