Today I talk about this little cube sized integrated amp from Nobsound called the B100. It's $180 and comes with four tubes, a class D amp, DAC, five inputs and enough power to drive most speakers. Is this little amp any good? I test it with some price relative speakers as well as my reference system!

This is not a class D, but hybrid class AB amp.
I'm thinking of this for in my work shop. Thinking of grabbing out of my storage in the basement a pair of bookshelfs with bipolar tweeters I have. Plus I have other audio gear in the Dark union to hook it up.

Great review. Affordable options in the vast world of audio equipment is a welcome sight. Just look at the Eversolo streaming DAC. From most recent reviews, it is a winner and competes with other streaming DAC’s in it price range.

Great honest review, I like the comparisons to your more traditional/exotic integrated amps. You also demonstrate once again how unimportant WPC is and how great 25 watts can sound. I have a little integrated tube and class D amp (Aiyima T9) that sounds wonderful playing a streamer feed into some Sony SSCS5’s. I have 4 other systems that cost many multiples of this little system but dont sound multiples better. I believe we are just beginning to explore the potential of class D combined with tube tech to produce true audiophile sound from any source.
I was also an Aiyima T9 user and recently upgraded to DOUK's ST-01 PRO. If you also like the T9, I think you faithfully recommend the ST-01 PRO, which is a perfect upgrade.

@@rahliE777 watched his review and others, and decided that the T9 and SSCS5s would pair well together. I use the WiiM streamer and rolled the tubes on the T9 to smooth it out and open it up a bit. All in for well under $300 (got the speakers for $99 on sale…) hard to beat!

This is the Best looking of these small amps, though ideally the vu bigger and two of them would be great, I'm about to buy one but will have to get a sticker to cover the nobsound name it will only do my head in.
It'd be Nice if you could try the Juson Audio Jta35. Seems like an upgraded version of this. Jta50 even better.

Tube pre with class D amplification is the future.
I've heard Weiss 502 which is amazing. Not sure if you have tried Mola Mola Tambaqui and how do you compare the sound to other Hi-end DACs
improvements in every area but can be not worth depending on price, the signature is what great abt it
We are definitely in the golden age of Hi-Fi, the value you can get for under £500 is great.
I’m sure though most who invest in a unit such as this will be bit by the bug and will eventually upgrade :)

It is clearly down on power... give these more power and it will go head to head with those exotic amps. Current is the name of the game here and how well an amp handles heavy loads. Its also tube based so expect harmonic distortion to be injected into the music you are listening to, definitely not the last say when it comes to transparency.

all tube amps today are Hybrid. nobody sells a fully TUBED amplifier. most companies use the tubes for the pre-amp section
