    Are you picking the $180 NobSound B100 or the $150 Aiyima T9 Pro???

      Ooooooh, nice Vu meters with a warm, welcoming glow beckoning me like a siren song to crash on the rocks. Hahaha! They're both gorgeous units; the Aiyima T9 Pro and the Nobsound B100. I can't decide. :)

      I'm picking the T9 Pro. When I stream, I have to adjust the volume for almost every song. I'm 66 and I don't feel like sitting next to the amp or getting up and down. LOL

    I'd like to publically apologize for my comment below. Ignore it. The host patiently pointed out that Nobsound had supplied a manual actually listing the power output as 250 watts. Thanks to the host for telling us about it - and correcting it. Secondly, the tubes - as the host carefully and correctly explained - may be hard to find and tricky to roll. I was wrong and out of line - and I stand corrected. Thanks again to the host for the fine reviews and wonderful approach to audio and music in this channel.

    Outstanding as always Aaron. I've never heard the T9 but I do own a B100 and it was the best $180 I've spent in a real long time. I use a WiiM Pro into an external DAC with the B100 so I can use the EQ in the WiiM app for tone controls. The B100 makes all my budgetphile speakers sound better than any of my solid state systems. You may want to look at the Dayton Audio HTA100. It's a little more expensive than the B100 but it has tone controls. Thank you and keep up the great work.

    • @ForeverAnalog
      @ForeverAnalog  Před 7 měsíci +2

      Using the WiiM's tone control settings in the app is a genius idea. Excellent. Thank you for the kind words!

    I would pick the Aiyima T9 Pro only because I would be worried about replacing the tubes in the NobSound. I find it off-putting that you would have to go back to the manufacturer to replace them.

    • @ForeverAnalog
      @ForeverAnalog  Před 7 měsíci

    I haven't seen the whole review yet so this might be addressed later, but USB-A input sockets on the back of a product in this price range usually means that it's for firmware updates and/or a memory stick only, and can't be used to connect asynchronous USB audio from a source such as a streamer.

  • @speedee7
    @speedee7 Před 4 měsíci +3

    Take it apart and show the components inside -- that's what really counts. Everybody can look at the pictures and see what are inputs, outputs and specs.

      Thank you for the kind words. I'll add your idea to my list. That's quite a complicated and detailed video to make, but maybe I can figure out how to do so in an interesting manner, lol.

  • @phen277
    @phen277 Před 7 měsíci +1

    The B100 resembles the Dayton Audio HTA50BT in chassis shape, number of tubes, lack of tone controls, power switch on the back and power output. The HTA50BT isn't a bad amp, but I handed it off to my son so he could listen to his video game soundtracks (?) with a little more clarity. I don't know how the B100 actually sounds, but I can bet it sounds a lot like the DA amp. I picked up the HTA100BT and am very happy I did so.

      tm11 is similar to gr11 but 'universal' sounding, enthusiasts can predict the sound easily, but its an earbud so yeah

    I am considering both, but wanted to ask which you may go with running a pair of Klipsch RP600M with an added Klipsch R120SW Sub for vinyl listening only. I will be using my SL1200MKII in a room that is 11 L, 15 W, 7 H

    • @ForeverAnalog
      @ForeverAnalog  Před 2 měsíci

      Those RP600Ms can sometimes benefit from a little tone control balancing depending on what style of music you're listening to. The T9 Pro will allow you to adjust bass/treble while the B100 will not. So for those speakers in particular, I think you might prefer the T9 Pro instead. The good news is, these are easy to return to Amazon if you should connect one or the other and find you do not like it at all for some reason.

    I have two fosi v3 amps that im happy with but i am looking now to get back into a AB amp for a small room 10x10 would you choose the B100 over the Gjallarhorn just based on sound not features i use a couple of Wiims up front.

    • @ForeverAnalog
      @ForeverAnalog  Před 7 měsíci +1

      What a great question! B100 is $180 and G-horn is $299 - I'll admit that I don't have time to do a proper A/B sound comparison between the two so I'm going to weigh in regards to features/reliability. I know Schiit has a 5 year warranty but I'm not sure about Nobsound. I think the G-horn has less room for faulty parts given there are not tubes involved, especially since the B100 tubes are hard to track down. Also Schiit usually maintains a good price on the second hand market should you want to sell and I'm not sure any of these budget class D amps will ever have much of a resale value. I think I would lean Schiit for peace of mind?

    What're you babbling about? Tube replacement's totally possible, and they even provide photographs for newbies showing how to do it. The only caveat's that they urge you to exercise caution when pulling the tubes out. Secondly, the specifications indicate that the 250 watts - that's power consumption - NOT power output. Engage brain first. Finally, you prefer a one dimensional sounding, el-cheapo, class D bird droppings amp to one that actually reproduces soundstage, but has no remote control? Rock on, lo-fi champion.

    • @ForeverAnalog
      @ForeverAnalog  Před 7 měsíci +3

      Thank you for watching. In the manual sent to me, it lists Output Power as 250W+250W and when I asked Nobsound about this rating, they said there was a misprint and it should be 25W instead and future manuals have been corrected. Regarding the tubes, it's not that they cannot be replaced but rather that the tubes themselves are hard to find in the event one goes bad. The Amazon listing for the product confirms this by Nobsound themselves. I was simply pointing out these issues for anyone interested in buying this product.
