  • We sit down with Dr. Shabir Ally to get his thoughts on the book, Structure and Quranic Interpretation - A Study of Symmetry and Coherence in Islam’s Holy Text by Raymond Farrin. This book aims to provide a study of the Quran through a literary analysis, highlighting how all of the chapters and verses in the Quran are linked to larger, contextual messages in the Quran.

this is even better than the miracle of number 19. Haven't heard Shabir Ally talk about the 19 for a while now, is it no longer fashionable, there was a time when he just would not shut up about it.

Shabbir Ally is ignorant of the fact that the author merely presented Mawlana Hamid Ud Deen Farahi's theory of the Coherence of the Quran in the English language. Farahi's work is already in Arabic, so why would Shabbir Ally wants Raymon'ds work to be also in Arabic. Raymond only exploited the lack of materials on the subject in the English language, doesn't mean he has pioneered nor adds anything substantial to the discussion. Such is the weak mindset of the likes of Ally, who seem to think lately that only Western intellectuals and revisionists offer any kind of meaningful perspective of Quran and Islam in the 21st cetury, when the theory of structural coherence in the Quran was already developed by Muslims, such as Farahi and Islahi in the 19th and 20th century. So what's so groundbreaking?
