  • Burkina Faso and Mali have warned that any military intervention in Niger would be considered a “declaration of war” against their nations. The warning came a day after West African leaders threatened to use "force" to reinstate the Niger’s deposed President Mohamed Bazoum.
The West African regional grouping called ECOWAS also slapped financial sanctions on Niger’s coup leaders. The two countries, which are both ruled by military-backed govts, issued the warning in joint statements released on July 31.

if other African countries also supported Niger, Mali and Burkina... Africa united would be a superpower, hopefully Africans realize this is the time of their lives to finally gain independence, and they gotta fight for it, peaceful independence is never real independence, ask the CFA countries of they are really independent compared to Algeria, Vietnam, or Latin American countries that actually fought and won independence. Also the and neighboring countries, as well as others affected, cannot simply do nothing, as it also causes them problems, most such civil wars, terror, arms smuggling and instability, spread to border regions.
No matter where you look, even China, India, Russia, Usa act preemptively, because you can not just let a fire burn at those neighboring house, because it can (usually will) spread to yours.
In addition, depending on the crimes the new government commits, other states are obliged to intervene, e.g. in serious breaches of universal human rights, genocide, chemical/biological, etc. Weapons construction.

Today, as in the past, the West does not offer African partners any form of cooperation based on real equality, but only the extension of a model of relations that are unenviable post-colonial experiences for all African nations. The relationship of the "flowering garden" and the "jungle" (J. Borrel).
Russia offers a real dialogue that is equal and mutually beneficial in practice, not just in words. One of the pillars of Russia’s foreign policy towards the African continent is that Africa must address its systemic problems on the basis of its own financial and political structures and practices, adapted to the socio-cultural context of the African continent. With the collapse of colonial rule and independence, political and financial structures, international networks, and European-style and de facto Western control of the latter were imposed on the continent. Structures, networks and methods are highly insecure to African specificities. More than half a century of modern history has shown their absolute failure.
Of course, economically speaking, Russia on the African continent weighs far less than the United States, the European Union, or China. But Russia has something to offer. And its proposals are existential for the future country of Africa. On the one hand, it is participation in strengthening and stabilizing security on the continent - including financial and food security - and, on the other, technology transfer. Technology transfer in various fields. As, for example, in nuclear energy, in which Russia is the world leader and what is able to change the face of Africa.

@@tuinbuddy3385 HISTORIA EST MAGISTRA VITAE - history is the mentor of life (Cicero).
I am well aware of world history and Russia’s role in it. You seem to have studied on the basis of modern textbooks of Ukraine, written by supporters of "Ukraincentrism", Naziogenesis, radical and very primitive current in modern Ukrainian history, historiography. Ukraine turned the national historical science into a laughingstock.
There is no point in discussing the fantastic abomination of the Ukrainian state historiography, all these "Holodomores", "Ukrainian phobia" and "Tsarisms". History punishes Ukrainians for this abomination.
"Ojczyzna to ziemia i groby - narody tracąc pamięć tracą życie" - Homeland is the land and tombs - peoples, losing memory, losing life.
Ukraine had betrayed the memory of its ancestors, and history punished it for that.

Well said! But the western puppets of African leaders refuse to work with Russia!! The people want the relationship with Russia a d the will of the people will prevail this time around! The puppets will die and then we can be free! The real problem is our traitors and thieves of leaders, and from what the young military president Burkina Faso said, we are tired of them!

Only by commerce they should unite, not by being puppets for the West, China or Russia. It will change nothing this way. For me only the late Colonel Kadafi and the president of Ruwanda know how to resolve this. All others are just the same, even this young guy in Burkino Faso will learn the hard way by being put down by his own. Start insisting in getting paid as you should for the riches of the continent instead of taking bargains for weapons and private riches. And this is from a white guy living in Cameroon since 27 years. As long the leaders accept those deals it will not chance. Stop blaming the West, everybody does the same
