When a military or constitutional coup in Africa serves imperialist interest the west and their African cronies turn a blind eye to it . For example Chad , Cameroon and recently Nigeria ( were the people's mandate was stolen and the US was quick to send congratulatory messages to tinubu)
When the same thing happens in a country that opposes western influence and hegemony, such leaders are called dictators and any illegitimate change of government is termed the people's revolution like the case of Libya . Western imperialism is the main reason for Africa's poverty and underdevelopment and not the form of government. African countries have been practicing democracy for decades , yet conditions haven't improved.
Shame to hear ECOWAS that has many unconditional leaders in power and whose unified currency initiative was hijacked by imperialist France , want to impose it's will on the people of Niger .
