A lot of people also don't understand that bodybuilders don't have great stamina. The weight of their muscles (muscle is heavier than fat) takes a lot of energy to move quickly and for extended periods of time. I only support what Pattinson did because it was healthier for him and I value human life over comic book accuracy.
A common misunderstanding of the Batman character however is that he was ever intended to be "realistic".
Historically throughout the comics the character has been mainly portrayed as peak human (by comic book standards not real world standards) and peak human is the same as what Captain America is supposed to be. The difference was always that Bruce reached that level through ridiculous training and will power. Think about how silly it would be to have Batman be held to a standard of realism while existing in a completely unrealistic world where no other character is held to the same standard. A realistic Batman would have a crime fighting career of 1 week tops. Corrupt cops and the mob out to get him. No way he doesn't get shot dead. Rooms full of goons with fully automatic weapons. Dead. Bane lands one punch on him while juiced. Dead. Deathstroke lands a punch. Dead. Killer Croc, Grundy, Clayface, Man Bat etc. Batman would have to execute every single fight to absolute perfection every night or be dead after one hit lands and perfect execution would be a more ridiculously unrealistic way to portray him than giving him incredible but less than super strength.
A truly realistic Batman story would involve a very short lived career. Super powered beings would not exist in his world. A cop killer like Joker would not be a long time rival as he would be mercilessly killed by police especially the corrupt police of Gotham for all that he has done. A real Batman would use guns and most of the legend surrounding him would just be ppl telling ever changing stories about his short lived career before he was killed, disappeared or arrested.

I think part of what makes his physique work too is looking at how much bigger he gets when the suit is on. In the movie we see him take consecutive mags of SMG fire to the chest and walk through like it's nothing. Setting aside the comic book element, to do that I'm sure his suit has a crazy amount of padding and plating in it, thus the size increase. To wear and fight in that you honestly wouldn't want to be boddy builder size cause it'd just make it harder to move, but you would want the upper strength and leg strength and cardio to carry it all and fight in it all for lengths of time.

Robert Pattinson is probably the best live-action Batman that we're going to get, also probably the best acting one. Christian Bale was good, but in comparison he just feels too... tryhardy, I guess (which Will Arnett *wonderfully* capitalized on using it for his portrayal in the Lego movies)? And while I agree that it has some of the same problems that plague Superhero and Star Wars movies regarding its length, the cast make it work for the most part.

Honestly, I thought Pattinson's physique was fantastic for the grounded and realistic world they're portraying in this movie, and also for following a story about a Batman who's still early in his career and trying to find his footing. It's very much a "fighter's body", as you said, because the human body LOVES efficiency, so when you train to DO a specific thing, it will prioritize the muscles which are best FOR that specific thing; like the upper back/shoulders for punching, etc. In terms of my favourite big-screen Batman, Pattinson honestly takes that mantle as well; it's mostly the writing in this movie that does it for me, but his version of the character just felt so authentic to his comic book origins in a way that no other Batman ever really has (save MAYBE Bale, but I have some issues with his movies that keep him out of the top spot for me) and it just felt so validating and refreshing to finally see that, as a long-time comic book fan. In My Honest Opinion If you want to be a Better Fighter While Also Gaining Strength & Size and having a Day Job. You should split it up where you have days for Lifting & Days for Skill Work with MMA. IMHO I think if you try to lift like 5-6 days a week thatll be too much when you actively get stronger with around 2-3 days of Lifting & then the other times focus on Martial Arts Skill, Sparring & all that. With a 9-5 job that requires more dedication cause its on you to set up the times for yourself & making sure you REFUEL and get enough rest so take care of yourself.

Not gonna lie, my favorite live action Batman film next to The Dark Knight. This was a totally different Batman and it seems that it works very well when he has his own stand alone series. The physique Pattison had definitely fit the role and I can never look at Riddler the same way again wow.
Would definitely like to see where this goes.

I felt like Pattinson just being a legit 6’1” did the role justice. He was taller than most of the people on screen and just felt intimidating. He looked like a prime Nate Diaz physique-wise.

He wore boots to so he's probably atleast 6,3 or 6,4 as Batman in the movie and 6,2 without the suit

Battinson Gainz. Love to see the cardio video for fighting fitness. Trying to get into natural building so that would be an awesome tandem routine to pick up!!

The movie felt kind of like a mini series. I walked out feeling like I binged watched a Netflix series or something. There are so many suspenseful moments I was like you can stop the episode here and here.

He looks like an MMA fighter. I think it looks realistic compared to a bodybuilder physique.

Battinson Gainz! Bro ngl while some scenes did run a bit long, it was great. His physique is definitely within the realm of my goals, not my dream bod but still somewhere I'd like to get. Great video Jordan.

So it’s mentioned in I think the prequel novel that Robert’s Batman weight training and overall training in general was for speed, not necessarily power. Which is also probably why he has much more armor plating

As you learn how to change your body, your body also learns how to change. As a young batman, his physique is fine. For the Batman, a man who holds himself on the edge of physical perfection, Pattinson has a journey ahead of him to achieve this evolution. The future of: Battinson Gainz

It’s nice Robert decided to not take steroids like other celebrities. You don’t need to be insanely jacked all the time and it’s nice to set a natural physique to strive for. Battinsongains
