I really like this episode tying olympicomics together
They all have their height and weight define by their creators. Captan america have The same size and weight of peak Arnold, 6'2 and 112kg. Batman is also 6'2 but 95kg.
rob Lie field 😂
The ones I find funny is when they try to draw strikers with wrestler bodies
RIGHT!?
Man I know that happens often, I've noticednit too but I can't think of any specific examples
Every modern day fighting game.
Especially tekken
Bruce is canonically only 5lb heavier than the maximum weight of the UFC light heavyweight division, so you're absolutely right.
I think batman should look like neal adams Drawings, i think his physique there is a combination of leanness and muscle mass. For Superman i think he should look like a silver age body builder specifically steve reeves, tbh steve reeves himself looks like superman.
Bruce also dedicated his life to being imperfect shape. He spent 20 years traveling the world getting jacked studying every known martial art, and learning the arts of the assassin with Ra’s Al Ghul, and others, before coming back to Gotham as Batman.
Later on he even was trained by lady shiva, the best martial artist on earth in DC, he was then trained by the very man who trained Ra’s Al Ghul (so obviously a very powerful, old, tough dude). By all accounts Batman has no equal in the real world. Bruce Lee would be the only thing close to Batman and he lacked the mass Bruce Wayne has. Bruce Lee was like %3-4 body fat in his later years and near his death. He was short Bruce Wayne is too. If I recall Bruce Wayne is roughly 5’9”-5’11” or so in height but absolutely ripped and bulked. Honestly to have that physique would require steroids in humans. Unfortunately. The idea anyone would naturally look like Batman even with the hardest of work is delusional. Batman is fictional. There’s no real replication in life. That’s why he’s the goat.
@peteschweddy4263 isnt the average male height 5'9? wouldn't 5'9 - 5'11 put a man at average to slightly above average height?
@@peteschweddy4263 batman is 6'2. Also there could be a replication for him and bruce lee is not it. we still haven't found it yet. A muscle mass than is 200lbs to 215 while still being agile and fast is possible and that's probably the one to gun for.
@@peteschweddy4263 Hed be a mix of George St Pierre, Alexander Karelin and Rocky Marciano 😂😂
I think batmans physique would be like Scott Adkin’s when he plays Boyka
Doc Ock was JACKED, in both the 90s Spiderman cartoon AND Ultimate Spiderman comics...for no reason
The reason is cause it looks cool. 😂
Everyone was jacked in the cartoon, hell even aunt May 😂
I just imagine Batman as like a taller version of Tom Hardy’s character in The Warrior
BROS Traps in that film were like COBRAS
I was thinking a light heavyweight version of George St Pierre
New headcannon: schools in the 90s marvel animated shows took the presidential fitness challenge SUPER seriously
Wonder Woman is basically a demigoddess. She should be imposing. One of the things I love about the way Darwyn Cooke drew her was she was taller than Superman. Standing toe to toe he had to look up to look her in the eye and that is rad as hell.
This has actually given me ideas for OC’s. One grappler OC is known as the king of sleeper builds and he’s got beef with a wrestler who knows it’s the open weight division and intentionally fights at his athletic maximum, and then there’s a guy who, like Julius from Kengan, can handle more secret sauce than any other cheater in the sport
Oooh nice
Hey JB! Have you ever read this Manga Called Batuque? Its about a girl that becomes a martial artist thanks to a seemingly homeless brazilian man that makes her feel freedom after feeling oppressed by her mom and dad, but when trouble strikes, to save her loved ones, she has to use her newly acquired martial arts to beat a bunch of other high level martial artists. Its like Kenichi in a way, except its a bit more grounded. You can most likely find it for free online
Ooo nice I’ll add to my read later list!
I think that Scott Adkins in the undisputed movies has the perfect Batman physique
I would say Winter Soldier is my favorite. He is a smaller version of Cap. He is muscular without the noticeable bulk. He just looks like a normal dude in civvies until you see his arm(s).
Well done! The effort and passion are evident.
Thanks Mrs Bot
Olympicomics.
Canonically, Batman is about the same size of a heavyweight boxer. I mean, one of his early stories had him substitute for the heavyweight champ and CRUSH the #1 contender...
Def makes sense
@@JaxBlade It was a funny story, the kind you could only get in the 1930s. The #1 contender had poisoned the champ to win by no context and steal the belt thanks to a bribed referee, but Batman found out and, with the crowd's approval, defended the title in the champion's place... And did the contender what Mike Tyson in his prime did to most of his challengers, all without a single foul.
I don't want to fight Batman, he's large, made himself large the best possible way (the first story flat-out said "Trains his body to physical perfection until he is able to perform amazing athletic feats"), and knows how to use that size.
Though Superman and Thor are larger... And have superpowers on top of that. That's even scarier.
Batman could carry in the Olympics 😂.
Rocky Marciano😂😂
Would you ever do videos on recovering from injury? Just very recently tore my miniscus
I think he did some a while back. just look around in his channel!
Oooh I would immediately go to a doctor or physical therapist as soon as possible tbh, Ive had Bad injuries before and I held off initially going to them but then I finally did and it made the injury clear up way faster. Just ask some questions to a physical therapist for your needs specifically cause they can analyze it on the spot and also help the area in person
@@JaxBlade just a quick follow up since you were so nice to comment back. I have been to a doctor just waiting for the MRI to get back, very frustrating lol. Been watching you for years, thank you sir.
Yea as a kid I was really into muscles but as an adult I like that lean athletic physique like edward Elric from fullmetal or robin or Spider-Man. It’s cool because it’s like they have a sleeper build and you underestimate them till they surprise you and I just love that in my age right now Lml I like that concept of a fighters build over a body builder build
Sleeper Builds are the same as Hiding your power level in DBZ, Great for playing on Smurf Mode and then surprising people haha
@@JaxBlade Lml word I can imagen goku embarrassing Nappa lol good times lmao
I always love the comic book content from Jaxblade! You should do actor character comparison videos sometime seeing how close they get to the character's look would be dope
As a writer this is actually giving me a bit of insight into how some characters should look. Nice. I was looking for one of these types of vids
Damn, I have a lot to say about this, sorry this is bout to be a college essay. First of, I think even though Superman doesn’t lift nor does he need to, I like the idea that the sunlight he gets his powers from is why he would and should be so big since it’s literally his nourishment. Though I’m not entirely sure if he would be bigger than Thor so you have a point there. Your 100% right that the 90’s marvel cartoons and maybe comic books too would make certain characters way to jacked for no reason. Not just civilian characters but even heroes or villains who aren’t very physical. My mind goes to Bruce Banner in the 90’s Hulk cartoon looking more like Bruce Wayne (puny banner my ass). And maybe it’s just me, but I do think that same issue sometimes carries over to the comics with Bruce and other characters. It’s definitely fun to see sometimes, a character like Doc Ock being built like a linebacker. But it just doesn’t really make any sense.😂 Also agree that Wonder Women should probably be drawn bigger than she usually is, and I think that applies to She Hulk too, NGL. And lastly 6:54 I love Goth rogue.
Just wanna say. Your channel always inspires me to workout. I love that you can put superheroes to fitness so my nerdy ass can have a way to motivate myself to look like my favorite character.
Hard thing is, ADHD won't let me maintain it. I can work out for 3 solid months and then just stop and its really hard to start again.
One day i will be fit like captain America.
Thanks Jax, a long time viewer ( since my freshman high school days in 2014)
Flash was jacked in the cartoon as was everybody else due the toys. It was cheaper to make them share body type and recycle models.
As for the rest, I do agree with all your placements. Cheers!
As a big Thor fan, I've always thought he should resemble pro Strongman
In Norse mythology he does. He is also a redhead.
@@kristiannoel4866 Yea God of war got that right like a world strongest man competitor
MCU Thor was always more like a silver or golden era bodybuilder 😂😂
Hey jax, you have been a huge boost of motivation, and knowledge for me recently in my fitness journey and just wanted to say, keep up the great work!
Hey thanks for the kind words and I am very happy to hear it! Hope you keep improving King :)
great video my guy
Appreciate it my guy
NEW JAXBLADE VIDEO LETS GOOOOO!!!!!
Olypicomics. Caps physique, specifically the panel when he returns to fight Hydra Cap, is goals
Olympic comics love your videos Jax have a great day
haven't watched your videos for a few years and you do be looking way more buff then I remember
I saw another video somewhere that Batman would be described as a pro CrossFit athlete
Olympicomics!!!! Good video Jax!!!
Great Vid! You doing Superhero content is always really fun, and surprisingly informative. I have a personal question though: would you potentially be interested in making a Video about Jamie and/or DeeJay from Street Fighter 6, and how to achieve their physique? It's been on my mind for a while now because I love the game and these 2 are genuinely PEAK HUMAN PERFORMANCE!
Oooh I’ll look into it I have an idea bubbling anyway :D
I love this video!!!
Booyah and thank you :D
Olympicomics.
Getting to hear someone exclaim "Why are you jacked?!" is low-key one of my training motivations.
No one ever expects a ripped journalist...
Damn Jax u lookin good bro 💪
I always thought that Spider-Man's physique would be more like a professional calisthenics athlete. 🤔
To be fair there’s a lot of crossover in calisthenics when it comes to gymnastics training. The primary difference is the flipping & explosiveness gymnasts develop but everything Calisthenics are great at Gymnasts can be great at too for the superb body control they have
@@JaxBlade fair and very informative point 👉
will you ever do anime/show deep dives outside of just workout and related stuff because icl i kinda want to see a video essay on random topics by you, i think you can cook
I will from time to time :)
I don't necessarily have a favorite comic physique but if we're talking manga then i'd say my favorite is "Kitano Ken" from "Sun Ken Rock"
Huh, I never thought you’d be an MMA fan. I saw Paulo Costa on the thumbnail and was like, “huh, interesting”.
This vid actually breaks down perfectly how I imagined the different archetypes of physiques on superhero’s if that makes any sense.
Are there any mainstream “strongman “characters off the top of your head? Because I think it’d be interesting seeing that on more characters.
Thor from God of war & Sig Curtis from FMA def come to mind for Strongman characters
Definitely interested in a part 2 of this or with Villans
yo Jax I haven’t been on this channel for hecka long bro, u look HUGE (no diddy)
lol thanks
My favorite physique in comics is Luffy, because his rubber body smooths out most of his pre-timeskip muscles, but post-timeskip, even with a scarred hole burned into his stomach, he gets absolutely RIPPED in time for the following arcs.
Luffy GOATed👑
Luffy's Physique is one of the many things that One Piece can only really pull off because of its length, and pulls off really well. You don't really even notice it changing, but he's been gradually getting more ripped since the beginning. A lot of heroes just get shredded in a time skip but Luffy's been putting on mass since day one, at a gradual and fairly realistic rate.
Olympicomics
I love this so much and how it gets a better prospective on athlete builds
Olympicomics, love the vids.
OlympicComics
I see Black Panther(Tchalla) as the ideal, gymnast/martial artist.
Dude i completely agree.
Super awesome video
Thanks for the support King
OLYMPICOMICS
pls make a part 2 with comic characters, eg miles morales, invincible and other comic characters
Or one with anime, both would be great
Love your vids mate keep it up 💯
I’ll add them to the list!
You should do work out video on how to get mash burnedead physique
I'd agree with your assessment. I would have classed Spiderman as an acrobat and The Flash as a marathon runner (although in the series with John Wesley Shipp he's built like a rugby player, see Leigh Halfpenny)
Olympicomics the Nightwing physique has always been my ideal
Grayson def has that peak aesthetic!
This is very thought provoking. I never thought of what a super heroine would actually look like in real life
I think the point the Spider-Man series tried to make is that some characters may look like they're in good shape but, unlike the Superpowered or even combat trained people have no way of using their muscles in a practical sense.
Can you do a how to work out like akuma from street fighter
I love the fact that the word MILF is used to describe an appearance/body type. 😅😆😏😁
Olympics- Always loved Capcom’s version of SpiderMan. Always crouched ready to spring. Muscular quads from jumping, made sense.
I agree. Real bodies come in all kinds of shapes and it really breaks the immersion for me when all the guys look like Arnold and the girls look like Gal Gadot (but with Penthouse bosom). It's not just the absurdly swelling muscles and 3% body fat (which for females is still somehow combined with swelling boobage). A lot of artist draw the exact same frame on everybody. Why does all the women have the exact same hip, waist and shoulder measurements? It bugs me.
Kitty was always short and petite. But all the X-men have a crazy training schedule with gymnastics as a base and then a lot of "danger room" parkour evasion madness. I think NinjaWarriors competitions make very X-men-ish body types. In addition to that, Kitty has done a lot of budo and regularly worked on her martial arts with Logan, so somebody with a karate background in women's mma would also make sense.
WonderWoman is big presence, tall and jacked but not super bulky. I would look at heptathlon athletes for her body type.
Whereas She-Hulk is obviously modelled on some absurd bodybuilder.
Sue Storm has no reason to be jacked at all. She would look like a middleage housewife who has a personal trainer.
Hey jax can you make a guide on how to get Shinjuku Gojo's physique im same height as him
Off topic but could u do a review of the Strength Training Anatomy books so ik which one i should buy
Olympicomics. Definitely nailed it on the physiques. Some characters in those old shows didn’t need to be jacked. 😂
I love that you have Goku flexing in the background 😅
Gotta have the GOAT inspiring me to do my Best haha
That makes me wonder where does rank in this chart? Throughout his growth I know his size changes
Hey Jax I got an idea the art of the bat of fist of the Batman
Oooh Ill save that for a later one
@@JaxBlade thanks dude and great video
Olympicomics. I think between Batman and Nightwing has the physique that are my favorites. Which would early go to say that a Psylocke had my attention too. Also, additionally to you, Autumn Ivy is an inspiration.
This is a fun one. Thor would be a strongman type, not a bodybuilder. Most of them I see having a WWE attitude era physique. Spider-Man, I could see being slightly more muscular than Bruce Lee.
Will you make a video about Nightwing?
Hey Jaxblade what do you think about training for strength using overcoming isometrics, like Bruce Lee used to do? Is there any isometric excercises that can be done at home with no equipment that you recommend?
It's funny that Batman lost his parents, and to gain his strength he had to train absurdly, while Superman simply exists alongside a family having a healthy life 🗿🍷.
OlympiComics Definitely Agree with your list and it is a shame that many comic book characters have similar body types. It really does put more depth to them if their bodies were shaped as a physical manifestation of their lifestyles.
Olympicomics. Big W vid man.
I think batman should look like neal adams Drawings, i think his physique there is a combination of leanness and muscle mass. For Superman i think he should look like a silver age body builder specifically steve reeves, tbh steve reeves himself looks like superman.
Depends on what you're talking about. Is it discussion body building and being a good fighter? Or is it more of a how to video about being jacked and athletic
Batman is supposed to be built like a fighter. 😊
A Bit of both tbh
@@dylan4865So, he's supposed to look like D.C. or Sean O'Malley? 😂
I've become a big fan of Omniman and Invincible's physiques. To me I love the idea the viltrumites get jacked because even flying is a workout for them. Miguel from Spiderverse is goals for me because dude is just menacing. She Hulk has always been my queen when it comes to superheroine physiques and obviously a more jacked Wonder woman needs to be normalized. Love the content dude!
I watched the Monkey Man movie not to long ago and I was wondering if you could do a video on his physique and how to achieve it?
Oh and as a former marine, Captain America physique comparison is accurate.
I love the bodytype of korra
Jake Kim Lookism ToughLikeTheToonz please. Really good shredded physique.
Olympicomics. An amine one would be awesome 👊
I think the best physique for Batman is Leon Edwards not because of his aesthetic physique but for his height, they are both the same height, mixed martial arts, leon is usually around 84 kg, that lets him have good muscles and strength but also speed for his striking
now I'd like to ask: how would each character fight? like, who would they emulate?
I can see wolverine having a brutal style Mike tyson-style
spiderman like prince naseem hamed
wonderwoman, more like a MMA, wrestling type (I don't know any specific athlete)
any ideas?
OLYMPICOMICS - "When everyone's super... no one will be."
“I’m something of a nerd myself.”
I’ll try to keep these short, but just some ideas based on how these characters were trained and inspired. For most of these I agree, but here are some things that stood out to me.
Batman: 10+ years of crazy obsessive training in parkour and martial arts.
Nightwing: Was a pro gymnast before getting obsessive self defense and martial arts training.
Spider-Man: superhuman flexibility and constant brachiation. Should be top heavy.
Superman: actually based off of 50s era bodybuilder, should have a George Reeve muscle dad bod.
Thor: Farmhand/ancient warrior build; Fat Thor is probably not far outside the range; this would have been hot 1500 years ago.
She Hulk: powerlifter/bodybuilder, the bigger the better (the tighter the sweater).
Wonder Woman: literally statuesque; sculpted and blessed with beauty by Aphrodite.
Power Girl and Supergirl should have identical bodies as noted.
Psylocke: tiny Asian martial artist or British lady; it depends.
Catwoman: pro climber.
Captain America: peak human all rounder efficiency provided by the serum.
Okay, stopping there. Have fun!
8:00 I see that you too are a man of culture
Watching that video make me thonk that cyclops would have a really big muscular neck because of how his power works😂 😂😂
Spiderman. I see him as a 20 something regular dude that works out in calesthenics to light hybrid
you should talk about the webtoons viral hit and the anime
you mentioned in the Pattinson vid, that comicbook batman looked like a line backer , while in this video sups looked like a quarterback, what if flash looked like a wide receiver or a running back? heck can you make a DC v.s Marvel if they were american football players?
If there is someone who is not ripped it would be Punisher's friend Microchip.
Olympicomics. I always thought it was rlly interesting how Nightwing had had so many shifts in build. Being rlly big, then moving to a more all around physique, then at times he’s almost Spider-Man esque in how slender he is.
Check out Jaime Hernandez's drawing of Catwoman for a rendering that looks like a character-an individual-and not a copycat cartoon.
how about villains next? Bane, Hush etc.
Wonder woman, a tall gymnast. See was Greek and Greek women, especially in Sparta, were gymnasts. Her power comes from the Greek gods. So, like Superman, she doesn't need to be overly muscled.
Now, Supergirl is a perfectly proposition cheerleader. She is just a niece Kriptoinian. Her powers from the sun. No need for muscles.
@jaxblades with the sponsor!
I think the Flash would have to be bigger than a sprinter. He doesn't just run. He still needs to fight and be strong enough to carry people while running. Other speedsters would also cancel out his speed in a battle and he would need something else to overtake them. Probably would be built like a football player, were running is important but strength also comes into play.
Batman and cap should be pretty similar although Batman might be slightly bigger in appearance cause of his overall size. His frame is bigger than cap's. Spiderman should have kind of a lanky athletic build. Flash shouldn't look like Usain Bolt. Bolt's frame doesn't fit flash. He's really tall and appears smaller than he actually is, but he really has a decent size to him. A lot of runners actually have fairly muscular frames. Nothing like Football or anything like that, but they can have some decent muscle on them so I'd say he should actually be bigger than the flash on CW. Flash should be around Spidey's size if not slightly bigger. Doesn't make sense to have him look like a skater when he's not a skater. Nightwing is pretty much exactly like a gymnast. Same build and everything. In fact his character was a gymnast so thats how he should be modeled. Namor is a jacked swimmer build. Superman should have a pretty muscular frame. Something close to Alan Ritchson on the Reacher. He's one of the closest to a body builder physique but not quite. He still needs to look like he can move and move fast. So I'd say a really jacked football player. Thor is the biggest of them and he should have the physique of a really big buff dude. Like a tall jacked lumberjack or something. I would say he's close to body builder physique but most bodybuilders aren't his size. No one here really fits body builder level tbh. I mean I guess some body builders in terms of jackedness, but all of these guys should still look like they can move and like they're fighters.
i vastly prefer when different superheroes in a lineup have noticeably different physiques that reflect their different backgrounds. This is one of the main reasons I don't like Bruce Timm's style. All his figures look the same height and size, even those who should be far smaller. Kyle Rayner is a great exanple of a massively inflated physique on a character that really has no business having such a large frame.
Olympicomics:
Ma favorite would be Daredevil, who I would see as an MMA fighter who does acrobatics, like GSP.
Where can I find a triathlete strength training program?
How do you go about fixing eating habits? I'm autistic and want to start getting my body healthy (I'm skinny, but eat poorly) but I struggle a lot to eat 1. enough protein due to money 2. eat good foods in general. I struggle a lot with food textures and have a lot of problems downing food that is actually good for me. This question might be out of your realm of expertise but everyone has a story and their own experiences so I thought it wouldn't hurt to ask what your own experiences are.
Wonder Woman definitely has the female CrossFit build. Olympic Comics.
Supes usually has a great physique in comics.
What do you think of Kengan physiques' accuracy to martial arts?
9:24 the Justice League cartoon is also guilty of this, majority of the male characters are wider than a door😂
